A determinação da capacidade de uso das terras numa bacia é muito importante para o planejamento e uso do solo, pois o uso inadequado e sem planejamento dessas terras provocam a baixa produtividade das culturas. Este trabalho visou definir as classes homogêneas de capacidade de uso da terra da bacia do Ribeirão Água Fria - Bofete (SP) para atender ao planejamento de práticas de conservação do solo desta área. A bacia situa-se entre as coordenadas geográficas 22o 58' 30`` a 23o 04' 30`` de latitude S e 48o 09' 30`` a 48o 18' 30`` de longitude W Gr., apresentando uma área de 9.180,12 hectares. A carta de capacidade de uso da terra da bacia foi elaborada a partir da carta clinográfica obtida por Santos et al. (1999), mapa pedológico do Estado de São Paulo (Oliveira et al., 1999), da tabela de julgamento de classes de capacidade de uso do solo (França, 1963) e das recomendações constantes no manual para levantamento utilitário do meio físico e classificação das terras no sistema de capacidade de uso (Lepsch et al., 1983). A discriminação, o mapeamento e a quantificação das áreas das classes e subclasses de capacidade de uso pelo Sistema de Informação Geográfica - IDRISI apresentaram os seguintes valores: IIIe,s - 517,020 ha (5,63%); IIIs - 863,150 ha (9,40%); IVe - 846,730 ha (9,23%); VIe - 871,110 ha (9,49%) e VIIe - 6082,115 ha (66,25%). Os resultados permitiram concluir que a bacia essencialmente constituída por 2/3 pela subclasse VIIe, ou seja, são terras que podem ser utilizadas por pastagens com uso moderado ou florestas, pois apresentam problemas complexos de erosão por causa de sua declividade. O Sistema de Informação Geográfica IDRISI permitiu através de seus módulos discriminar, mapear e quantificar as áreas das classes e subclasses de capacidade de uso das terras da bacia com rapidez e confiabilidade.

The lack of risk management can generate disruption in the supply chain, and there is little literature related to the aerospace industry. This article aims at identifying the risk factors for supply chain of the main Brazilian aircraft manufacturer. Nine risk factors specific to aircraft manufacturers were identified: Environmental, Natural and Political, Supply Chain, Business Strategy, Product Management, Indicators, Organization, Productivity, and Quality and Information System. These factors were quantitatively evaluated with respect to their criticality using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The Quality and Productivity factors were considered the most relevant in this study, which can be classified as a single case study. The necessary data were obtained through interviews with professionals from different areas of the studied enterprise.

The Brazilian construction is with high production which resulted in many service industries and also for businesses that work in conjunction with it. For the furniture industries would not be different, since they are intimately involved with the construction. To meet the demand for furnishings in Brazil, some clusters of industries have developed in recent years, as in the case of Uba (MG), Arapongas (PR) and Bento Gonçalves (RS). For industries sector can always increase its production combining quality and customer satisfaction, is necessary for their production procedures are studied and improved every day. The aim of this research is to propose a solution for simple information system involving the issue of tracking parts of the furniture produced in an industry custom furniture that depend on outsourced services. The research occurred during four months of the year 2013 for the observation of the production of the industry, where possible observing interference could be carried out with the aim of obtaining improvements in the production line. It is concluded that control of the finished product in a custom furniture industry is a very complex work, because the information system must transmit information faithful, which has not happened formerly, but after the implementation of the identification system was significant improvement the transfer of information between sectors mounts internal and external furniture

This work discourse on Civil Defense’ strategic planning and severe events in the city of Rio Claro – SP. In order to realize spatial analysis about its damages, registered by Civil Defense Department, it is being propose a methodological procedure by the use of Geographical Information System – Arc Gis 9.3.1. and another with SPRING 5.1.8.. The mapping of target areas and their impacts, during a period, have a great importance to the identification of possible risk areas as well as their use for logistic support to corps which is somehow involved to severe events and their victims, and to create a robust alert system

Nos últimos anos, têm se notado a grande preocupação com relação às condições climáticas do planeta e suas implicações. As discussões sobre as mudanças climáticas têm se tornado cada vez mais relevantes à medida que as adversidades climáticas têm implicações diretas na sociedade. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar e avaliar episódios atmosféricos severos ocorridos no Estado de São Paulo no ano de 2005, elaborando posteriormente o estudo de caso do tornado ocorrido na cidade de Indaiatuba (SP). No levantamento sobre o evento atmosférico levou-se em conta a condição atmosférica que o originaram, além dos impactos ambientais e sócio-econômicos do fenômeno na sua região de abrangência. Para isso foram realizados levantamentos bibliográficos mais completos possíveis sobre o assunto, utilizando revistas credenciadas em âmbito nacional ou internacional. Logo após esta etapa foram coletados os dados de estações meteorológicas e dados atmosféricos como vento, temperatura, pressão disponibilizados pelo (NCEP) National Centers for Environmental Prediction. Estes dados atmosféricos disponibilizados pelo (NCEP) foram avaliados e analisados para a caracterização do episódio atmosférico e o cruzamento de informações por meio dos (SIGs) Sistema de Informação Geográfica, referentes à dinâmica atmosférica e topografia. A interpretação de todos os dados gerados relacionados e suas implicações no contexto ambiental e sócio-econômico está organizada em forma de uma síntese na redação final.

The objective of this paper is the elaboration and implementation of procedures in a cartographic representation related by fundamental of thematic cartography and graphic semiology for the standardization of the Environmental Oil Spill Sensitivity Maps supported by a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for handling and modeling of a large number of variables. These make up the Environmental Sensitivity Atlas to Oil Spills in Coastal Paulista, and that represents the phenomena that occur in geographic space accurately so as to highlight the importance of each element in the evaluation and protection of areas of greater sensitivity oil. The composition of the cartographic documents considers the Littoral Sensitivity Index (LSI), biological resources and the resources for human use that could be negatively impacted. Thus, the information contained in each map was carefully evaluated before implementation, so that the cartographic representations of various resources, environments, and other ISLs, the reader should issue an immediate message that could be understood clearly, without requiring prior knowledge of specialized. Another aspect was the distribution harmoniously all the elements contained in the document, so that information could be enough without overwhelming it. It was also taken a certain care, so each symbol could be used properly in order that there is no conflict in the information.

The metropolitan region of São Paulo is the most populous of the country, this happens because of its great importance in the national economy and the job opportunities that are offered to the population. These factors result in intense population growth and urban expansion, reaching some non-habitable places of the metropolis, as areas of pipelines, which are very important for the transportation of natural gas, oil and its derivatives. Before the population growth of the region, these sites were unoccupied, do not presenting problems for the population. However, with the disorderly occupation is generated great anthropogenic pressure on the pipeline stitches, causing risks to people who are around them. Therefore it is extremely important to monitor the strip of pipelines through products and techniques of remote sensing and geoprocessing, enabling, through high spatial resolution images, identification of objects or phenomena that occur on Earth's surface that can alter the functioning and safety of pipelines. Therefore, this study aims to monitor a stretch of the area of the pipeline mesh GASPAL/OSVAT and Capuava Refinery (RECAP), located on the outskirts of the metropolitan area of São Paulo in the city of Mauá, who suffer great human pressure, proving thus the techniques of remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) as effective tools for monitoring phenomena occurred in urban areas of great complexity. The monitoring was done by object-based classification applied in orbital images Ikonos II and RapidEye, of high spatial resolution and, image processing, detection of objects, segmentation, classification and editing were developed through the eCognition and ArcGis softwares. The implementation of an Export and Processing Zone (ZEPs) brings several benefits to the local, state and federal economy, but often, only socioeconomic factors are considered, apart from several other factors that should be analyzed, such as the environment. In this context of industrialization and the struggle for sustainable development, this work propose to incorporate the environmental variable in the decision process for establishing industrial areas, in particular, the ZPE in the city of Fernandópolis, São Paulo state, Brazil, by examining several physical and environmental factors such as slope intervals, geological features, pedological factors and land use. Developed using a multicriteria analysis, a model has been elaborated, where these factors have received a proportional value according with their importance, supported by a GIS tool (Geographical Information System) and remote sensing products, such as images from CBERS satellite and SRTM radar, showing the suited areas for industrial activities, considering environmental conditions. This model may assist to take better decision about the ZPE implementation area and to reduce the negative environmental impacts that would result of poorly planned locations
