Características agronômicas e qualidade comercial de cultivares de milho pipoca em alta população

Agronomic characteristics and commercial quality of popcorn maize cultivars. In order to identify popcorn cultivars that constitute a viable alternative For popcorn producers, an experiment was conducted using a randomized blocks experimental design with Five genotypes (BRS Angela, Zelia, IAC 112, IAC 12 and IAC TC-01) and four repetitions, during the 2003/2004 crop. The experiment was carried out with 60 cm spacing between lilies and density of 75 thousand plants per hectare. During the experiment, agronomic and commercial characteristics were evaluated, under field and laboratory conditions. The variety BRS Angela featured increased yield, followed by simple hybrids IAC, with Zelia (triple hybrid) showing lower yield. The simple hybrid IAC 12 showed the lowest commercial quality of popcorn. Grain production was positively associated with the number of grains per car and with the weigh of 1,000 grains, and negatively with the level of N(total) in grain. The commercial quality was negatively influenced by the weigh of 1,000 grains.

Análise dialógica do discurso publicitário

From the questions raised by Bakhtin Circle, especially those intended to gender and dialogue, this work aims to study the relationships of meaning that are established between the statements present in commercial advertising discourse. For each sphere of production, circulation and reception of discourses, genres are appropriate, therefore, all discourse requires a different choice of language resources, which determines, among other things, the style of the message. The advertising genre, a genre characterized as complex, as it works, reframes and incorporates primary genres, has the central objective of building the next one idea being to buy something more frequent. This process occurs mainly through the use of persuasive speeches, compelling, authoritative, imperative and seduction. Our goal is to analyze an advertising piece, discussing how the resources used in advertising participate in the process of enunciation and persuasion and the manner in which the voices of others (previous authors, recipients hypothetical ) mingle with the voice of the subject's explicit enunciation. (Bakhtin, 2010, p. XXVII). Thus, based on Bakhtinian studies, we will think about the relation of the dialogical voices raised in question in advertising, and attend to the role of the other, with his active responsive understanding, how to be active and modifying agent

Aplicação de técnicas eletroforéticas em amostras de musculos de aves de interesse comercial e de Tilápias (Oreochromis niloticus)

Junto ao Laboratório de Fracionamento de Proteínas, desenvolveu atividades aplicando técnicas eletroforéticas (gel de agarose, eletroforese nativa em gel de poliacrilamida) em amostras de músculos de aves de interesse comercial (frangos, perus e avestruzes), tendo como co-orientador o Prof. Paulo Tadeu Figueira da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária, PUC/PR - Toledo, onde desenvolveu atividades de análise de géis de eletroforese. Aplicou as técnicas de eletroforeses citadas em amostras de músculos e soro sanguíneo (em andamento) de tilápias (Oreochromis niloticus), bem como desenvolveu atividades de análises computacionais (VDS – PHARMACIA) e estatísticas (ASSISTAT) nos dados obtidos, resultando na participação em 7 congressos com apresentação de trabalhos. Cursou a disciplina de Genética, como aluno especial, junto à turma de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas, num total de 8 créditos, sendo aprovado com média 7,2

Expressão dos fatores de regulação miogênica em cultura de mioblastos submetidos ao TNF-α/IFN-γ

A insuficiência cardíaca (IC) está associada a miopatia dos músculos esqueléticos dos membros, com perda da massa muscular, diminuição na proporção das fibras do tipo I (contração lenta) e aumento na proporção das fibras do tipo II (contração rápida). É provável que alterações na expressão de fatores de transcrição pertencentes à família “basic helix-loop-helix” (bHLH), da qual fazem parte a MyoD, Miogenina, Myf5 e o MRF-4, conhecidos como fatores de regulação miogênica (MRFs), sejam responsáveis pelas mudanças nos tipos de fibras. Enquanto que a Miogenina é expressa em níveis superiores aos da MyoD em músculos lentos, o oposto é verdadeiro para músculos rápidos. Similarmente, a MyoD está associada com a expressão das isoformas de miosina de cadeia pesada rápidas dos tipos IIX e IIB. Estudos in vitro, demonstraram que o TNF-α inibe a expressão de MyoD e miogenina diminuindo a atividade de genes músculo específicos. A ação do TNF-α diminuindo a expressão da MyoD mostra-se mais acentuada quando em associação com o IFN-γ, no entanto, há poucas informações na literatura a respeito do papel desta associação na expressão dos fatores de regulação miogênica, in vitro. Avaliar a expressão dos fatores de regulação miogênica, MyoD, miogenina, Myf5, e MRF-4 em cultura de mioblastos C2C12 submetidos ao TNF-α/IFN-γ. Nossos resultados mostraram um aumentou na expressão dos gene MyoD, Myf5 e miogenina sob tratamento com IFN-γ quando comparado aos grupos controle e TNF-α/IFN-γ. A expressão gênica do MRF-4 na cultura de células não foi detectada em nenhum dos grupos analisados. O GAPDH foi utilizado para normalizar os valores de expressão dos outros genes analisados. Crise do modelo do jornalismo comercial e emergência do jornalismo cidadão

Corporative media, represented by TV, radio, press and internet conglomerates, is responsible for the biggest portion of audience and public all over the world. The commercial media was built upon media concentration and monopoly strategies and this business aims society’s economic and political control. Unfortunately, they don’t represent the biggest portion of population’s interests and, because of that, corporative media faces a crisis moment while alternative means of communication rise from the initiative of professionals who are committed to society’s marginalized sectors. Radical media intends to express a variant vision about hegemonic policies, priorities and perspectives. Citizen journalism is one of radical media arms and this research proposition is to analyze the business model of commercial media in Brazil and in the world, its means of production, and compare them with citizen journalism methods. This work also intends to analyze radical media and how it is opposite to corporative media by studying Escola de Notícias, an educommunication project from São Paulo

Sistema de Acelerador Linear Comercial para Radioterapia

This paper presents a study about the operation of the major system’s components of a linear particle acclerator (Linac). It addresses the components mainly responsible for the formation of the beam, through the inclusion of several block diagrams showing the details of the structure. Among the systems discussed may be mentioned the system modulator, automatic frequency control, dosimetry and auxiliary systems. The main objective is the dissemination of basic technology applied in linear accelerators and create literature about this subject in national language. Despite the high complexity and large number of devices that comprise a linear accelerator, it has been developed an easy to understand text that adresses the most relevant issues to the operation of the linear accelerator from the point of view of electrical engineering

O Leão do Norte vai voltar a rugir?: um estudo de caso sobre as mudanças na Administração do Comercial Futebol Clube da cidade de Ribeirão Preto - SP

From the informations collected on the Commercial Football Club, the city of Ribeirao Preto, there was a case study in order to identify and describe the management model adopted by the club, to overcome the financial and administrative crisis. It was used as reference to analyze the concepts of social capital and historic capital, considered decisive for the choice of the management model adopted. In addition, we also used the proposals contained in sports management studies to identify the business model chosen by the Commercial Club Football Club. In the final considerations argued that the adopted model already includes some results, as the club qualified to participate the Series A-1 League football Paulista, one of the targets set by the new management of the club

Matemática comercial e financeira com a utilização de recursos digitais: uma experiência no ensino médio

This work aimed to investigate the possible contributions of the use of digital resources in the teaching and learning process of Commercial and Financial Mathematics concepts to high school students. Its development has included a survey of some researches on the topic as well as an experimental study of a qualitative type, in which the Webquest was used as methodology. It uses the computer, more precisely the internet resources, to assist students in building up knowledge. Eight meetings were held, in the after-school period, with a group of students of the second year of high school at a state public school in the city of Guaratinguetá. Aiming to evaluate the knowledge that students had about the theme, it was applied a diagnosis at first glance for further analysis and development of activities and interventions according to the students’ answers. Once the research data was analyzed, it was noted that the students had little knowledge regarding the basic contents of Commercial and Financial Mathematics, in addition to presenting difficulties in handling some of the digital resources used in the meetings. Nonetheless, from the students’ works, it was seen significant advances in understanding and building up knowledge on concepts such as percentage, simple and compound interest, savings, and sales involving prompt payment or in arrears

Previsão da demanda doméstica da aviação comercial européia

This paper work has as objective the study and forecasting of the demand behavior for the European commercial aviation industry. Once economy and demand has a straight relationship, the tool chosen to perform this forecast was the Econometry. In order to get a more efficient forecast, a complete analysis of the environment in which the aviation sector is, to understand all factors with influence over the market as a whole. Only then, the variables which would be tested for the correlation with the demand were picked. The final results of this study has achieved all objectives set and has given a better view over the European Commercial Aviation Market

Estudo de uma ponte rolante comercial no transportede bobina de aço de 12 toneladas

This work aims to determine the stresses acting on the main beam of a crane to transport steel coils of up to twelve tons. To determine the stress it was made a revision of the knowledge of the mechanics of materials to apply the analytical method. Following a review of the finite element method is made to understand the same. To complete the study it was used the commercial software ANSYS to determine the stresses by finite element method, the program provides images that help to better understand the results obtained. With the results a comparison of the values of the tensions between the two methods (analytical and finite element) was made. To assist in the calculations it was used the NBR 8400, 1984 (Calculation of Lifting Equipment Load)

Análise de matérias primas e solução comercial empregada na perfusão e no transporte de órgãos destinados ao transplante

A solução HTK (histidina, triptofano e cetoglutarato) foi especialmente desenvolvida para preservar a heterogeneidade morfológica e bioquímica dos órgãos destinados ao transplante. Contém exclusivamente substâncias existentes no organismo tais como cloretos de sódio, potássio e magnésio, histidina, triptofano, manitol e cetoglutarato de potássio. Sua composição promove a inibição de todos os processos de ativação muscular, nervosa ou endócrina nas estruturas estimuláveis das membranas. Nos compêndios oficiais encontram-se métodos de análise qualitativa e quantitativa para matérias primas. Análises das matérias primas foram realizadas nos Laboratórios de Controle de Qualidade da faculdade de Farmácia e Laboratório de Eletroanalitica (NDcom) do Instituto de Química aplicando os métodos preconizados nos códigos oficiais. Os resultados obtidos com as matérias primas foram satisfatórios e confiáveis. Os mesmos métodos não possibilitaram a análise da Solução HTK acabada como proposto inicialmente. Esses métodos não apresentaram sensibilidade suficiente para a determinação das matérias primas empregadas no preparo desta solução, pois estas se encontram em concentrações bastante reduzidas, necessitando métodos mais sensíveis que realizem análise de traços de eletrólitos.

Simulação de ciclo combinado utilizando software comercial

In Brazil, The power generation has always depended on the rivers, in other words, there are moments that the power generation can vary, which can cause variations in energy supply and even blackout according to the level of water in the reservoirs of the hydroelectric plants. For this reason, many options has been studied, like our example, which is about a combined cycle power plant in Canas. The use of combined cycle is interesting from the point o view of energy, because its efficiency is between 50 and 60%, and from the point of view of environment, because it can burn natural gas, which is cleaner than coal, it reduces the emission of gases that influence on the greenhouse effect. This work aims to perform a technical analysis of a case study of a power plant proposed to be built in Canas by the AES/AES Tietê Group. For the analysis will be used the commercial software GateCycle 6.0.0 from GE, this software has the power of simulating power generation cycles (nuclear, combined, etc.). The energy department of UNESP has the license, which makes possible the academic use of this tool. Two combined cycles were simulated, one using one pressure level HRSG, and another one closer to the real power plant, which is a combined cycle with a three pressure level HRSG. The results were close to expected, for the combined cycle with one pressure HRSG the power was 513,9 MW and a efficiency of 53,27%, in the case with the three pressure level HRSG the power was 517,1 MW and a efficiency of 53,5%.
