O desenvolvimento de habilidades argumentativas no ensino médio: perspectiva a partir de um minicurso investigativo com base na história da ciência

The performance of investigative activities with lessons in teaching Science and Chemistry has promoted meaningful learning of scientific knowledge. This study aimed to develop the links between higher education for research and skills argumentative, aimed at building the scientific concept on combustion of the candle in a closed container, for students from two classes of 3rd year of high school, two city schools Bauru, São Paulo. We decided to do a short course investigative, to respond argumentative skills which are developed during the minicourse using investigative activities, knowledge from the history and philosophy of science. The results were gathered from analysis of video recordings of episodes of the short course in both the groups, to produce a higher rate of use of argumentative skill, which were classified into categories according to the prior knowledge of the subject, 'factual knowledge' , 'understanding of concepts' and 'reasoning and analysis.' From the information obtained, it was found that both the teachers and the students were consistent in their actions, and that the activity of reasoning is key to learning. Thus, one can realize that knowledge is not acquired all at the same time, each individual depends on the mediation of the teacher in order to reach different design more appropriate teaching and investigative linked with the argument can be the key tool to acquire this knowledge

In 2002, the Ministry of Education (MEC) published the Curriculum Guidelines for Engineering courses in the country. The Guidelines contain subjects like the profile of graduates, the course structure, curriculum, internships and skills and abilities, all geared to guide the training of engineers in Brazil. The objective of this study is to evaluate together with teachers of the Production Department of this University and students of the fifth year of Production Engineering is how student learning of Production Engineering for the development and importance of skills within the course and skills for engineers who are present in the Curriculum Guidelines for engineering courses developed by MEC

Relações públicas e gestão de marcas: compreendendo habilidades e contribuições

This paper discusses the possible performances of professional Public Relations in Brand Management. This approach combines the concepts of brand identity, image and reputation for strategic function / managerial Public Relations. If on one hand the brand is the key element for the public identification of the organization, on the other, the result of this relationship can and should add value to both protagonists of the relationship: Public and organization. So, in an effort analytical and reflective, based on specific literature, defends the idea that the Public Relations has a professional profile that combines institutional and market interests for brand management. In practice, through an exploratory study, is observed from interviews with professionals involved in the area of Brand Management, how is the alignment between brand, relationships and purposes of the organization and which professionals working in this field. The study shows that although it is still defining itself in the market everyday, the public relations professional is a plural, able to manage this effectively

Acidentes na infância atendidos no pronto socorro de pediatria do Hospital das Clínicas de Botucatu que motivaram internação

Accidents represent a major public health problem as they are frequent, preventable, and account for high morbidity and mortality rates. Children are the most vulnerable to accidents due to their inherent characteristics, and as a result of their physical, sensorial, psychomotor and cognitive limitations, which will only develop with time. Watchfulness and careful attention are of paramount importance, especially as children develop locomotor skills that are accompanied by curiosity about their surroundings. Child accidents, particularly those that could have been avoided, are the accidents most commonly seen in emergency and urgency departments. Urgency and emergency departments are the greatest allies in the attention to pediatric accidents as they offer adequate, immediate and specific high complexity care to patients at risk, viewing their vital stabilization. Investigating the causes and consequences of this insult is essential to establish a diagnosis and to contribute for the adoption of measures of prevention, control, and assistance. To identify the epidemiologic characteristics of the accidents involving children that received care at the pediatric emergency department of Botucatu Medical School Hospital and required hospitalization. This quantitative, retrospective, descriptiveanalytic epidemiologic study included all children aged 0-14 years who had had an accident and were seen at the Pediatric Emergency Department of Botucatu Medical School Hospital of São Paulo State University/UNESP between January 1/2008 and December 31/2009. A total of 227 medical charts were reviewed and 178 (78.4%) patients were included in this study. Of these, 116 (65.1%) were males and 62 (34.8%) were females. Children aged 5 - 9 years (38.9%) were the most affected, followed by those aged 10 - 14 years (37.5%). Fractures occurred in 138 (77.5%) of the cases, followed by foreign bodies... Promoção da saúde nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental: atividades educativas lúdicas e práticas no combate a dengue

A promoção da saúde através da educação pode ser um valioso meio para se informar e atingir mudança de comportamentos nos indivíduos, principalmente em casos de doenças como a dengue, onde é necessária a participação da população para seu controle. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo formular elaborar, desenvolver e avaliar atividades para alunos do ensino fundamental, com caráter mobilizador e abordagem diferenciada do tema dengue, proporcionando ferramentas intelectuais e conhecimento necessários para a aquisição de hábitos saudáveis. Antes da realização destas proposições foram apurados os conhecimentos prévios dos alunos e suas dificuldades, através de um questionário. As atividades sugeridas eram do tipo lúdico e práticas, onde há um maior contato do aluno com o tema, o que proporciona o desenvolvimento de capacidades cognitivas e intuitivas, assim como de socialização, criatividade e questionamento. Estas atividades eram compostas por um experimento de acompanhamento das fases do vetor, jogo, jornal e filmes, onde se procurou sempre atentar as dúvidas e dificuldades dos alunos. Com esse projeto as crianças adquiriram novos conhecimentos e habilidades que podem contribuir para uma conduta que promova a saúde não apenas deles, mas das pessoas que estão a sua volta

According to current legislation, is part of the Target of Special Education, students with high abilities/giftedness (HA/G). However, it appears that there are few studies on efficiency and effectiveness of diverse pedagogical practice for students with these characteristics. With increasing globalization, are multiplied opportunities for transnational education programs and educational services, particularly through the Internet, increasing the need for information services and accreditation of institutions and educational programs. This study aims to: a) develop a website containing information on high abilities/giftedness; b) evaluate the design of teachers on applicability of the site; c) analyze the contributions posted on the site. Therefore, it was available to the participants of this research produced site. Consisted on the site, among other information, those relating to HA/G indicators. Was sent a questionnaire via the Internet, with nine closed questions and two open, to 2000 teachers, registered in the database Improvement Course in Educational Practices Inclusive conducted by UNESP, under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Vera Lucia Messias Fialho Capellini. Data were considering frequency responses. For the treatment we used the Google Docs. As result Program Observed how teachers are lacking this subject deserves further Top depth. Concerning the site he was Considered by the participants as a support tool to the teacher, Which helps to identify and recognition of Individuals with HA/G and contributes to information, training and practical pedagogical way. This, is expected to Contribute to the dissemination of this issue in society as well as the Possibility of Minimizing the myths about this population, since such myths exist due to the lack of information
