CurtaBauru: site jornalístico especializado em cultura e arte na cidade de Bauru

CurtaBauru (www.curtabauru.com.br) is a journalistc website which specializes on the covering of local art and culture. The idea came up from the three author's interest in Bauru's cultural scene and also from the scarcity of local media about the subject. The website was opened in the end of August 2012, and its archives include journalistic covering of some major events such as Revirada Cultural 2012, Festival Canja de Artes Integradas and Encontro de Academias de Letras e Entidades Afins. Besides that, the website is updated daily with articles about coming up events, and includes weekly sections about people and organizations related to the city's artistic scene, restaurant criticism and an agenda containing the main events of the following week

Narrativa e experiência: percepções, práticas culturais e memórias de pessoas migrantes

Based in the contact with adults with little education that living in two suburbs of Rio Claro-SP, whose population is largely coming from other states, there were some questions, including: What are reasons for migration are pointed in the narratives of adults little schooling participants EJA classes? So, in the first moment of this research, we present some data collected through a questionnaire applied to students of EJA, we taking information about the state and county of origin of each student. In the second stage methodology was used Oral History pointed questions about the motives of migration reported by subjects who migrated, access and search for education and practice in reading and writing. It was also realized, an activity imagery (or walker interview) with the student, highlighting elements of the landscape of the neighborhood that brings memory's birthplace. This paper presents some results of a study on culturally marked terms in a corpus composed by the Brazilian novel Relato de um certo oriente (1989), by Milton Hatoum, and its translation into English The tree of the seventh heaven, by Ellen Watson. For the analysis of culturally marked terms, we followed the interdisciplinary approach proposed by Camargo (2005, 2007) involving corpus-based translation studies (BAKER, 1993, 1995, 1996, 2000), and the investigations of cultural domains (NIDA, 1945; AUBERT, 1981, 2006). The methodology adopted in the present research required the software WordSmith Tools (SCOTT, 2007), which provides the necessary resources for the collection of data in a corpus of translated texts. The software tool called WordList was used for the selection of the most frequent words in the texts and also for the identification of the culturally marked terms. For the analysis of the culturally marked terms in both texts we used the software tool Concord. The results revealed that most of the culturally marked terms are inserted in the ecological domain, and the other terms are distributed in the domains of material, social and ideological culture, which reflects the theme of the book.

Estudos de comunicação e identidades midiático-culturais na América Latina: condicionantes e perspectivas. Uma abordagem exploratória

Apontar tendências - a médio e/ou longo prazos - para uma área do conhecimento, desafio o pesquisador para o exercício da priorização e da sistematização, mas também evidencia que escolhas foram feitas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de reunir informações capazes de demonstrar o cenário comunicacional em duas grandes frentes: ensino e pesquisa. Sistematizar trajetórias institucionais produtivas, criar e expandir políticas públicas que articulem os múltiplos atores sociais em torno de um desenvolvimento sustentável e possibilitar a reflexão sobre os arranjos institucionais mais adequados para permitir a inclusão social etc, são alguns resultados frente ao mapeamento proposto nesse material. Reconhecer e relacionar temas, incluídas as estruturas produtivas e as políticas de CT&I, P&D, as interconexões entre as múltiplas dimensões da infraestrutura, especificamente das comunicações, possibilitaram o conhecimento sobre o amadurecimento das instituições públicas e privadas e de seus acervos informacionais. Dividido em duas partes, a primeira focalizou o Brasil e suas instituições científicas e a segunda que traçou o panorama da educação do Cone Sul. Uso de rastreadores de eventos adversos a medicamentos para farmacovigilância no âmbito hospitalar

Eventos adversos a medicamentos (EAM) ainda são uma das principais limitações nos serviços de cuidados com a saúde, causando risco aos pacientes, além de grande impacto econômico. Assim, fazem-se necessários métodos de identificação de eventos adversos mais eficazes que a tradicional notificação espontânea, a qual revela apenas 5% do total de eventos. A utilização de critérios rastreadores (ou trigger tools), elaborados pelo Institute for Healthcare Improvement, tem se mostrado como a alternativa mais válida e eficiente para a triagem dos EAM. Com o objetivo principal de identificar os principais eventos adversos e medicamentos envolvidos, uma seleção de três critérios rastreadores foi utilizada, a saber: INR (razão normalizada internacional) > 6, WBC (contagem de leucócitos) < 3000/mm³ ou registros de episódios de sedação excessiva, letargia ou queda. Informações sobre os rastreadores foram coletadas e analisadas a partir dos prontuários de pacientes internados no Hospital Estadual Américo Brasiliense internados, de novembro de 2011 a janeiro de 2012 e maio a julho de 2012, a fim de se confirmar a ocorrência de evento adverso. Foram analisados prontuários referentes a 3318 hospitalizações, nas quais foram detectados 69 eventos adversos, 49 dos quais foram causados por apenas quatro das 12 classes de medicamentos envolvidos em algum EAM: anticoagulantes orais, relacionados ao rastreador INR>6 (eficácia = 0,75), sedativos e antipsicóticos, relacionados ao rastreador de sedação excessiva, letargia ou queda (eficácia = 0,52), e antivirais, relacionados ao rastreador WBC<3000 (eficácia = 0,48). Quando os rastreadores eram acionados e não estavam relacionados a EAM, os fatores de confusão mais recorrentes foram: torpor secundário ao quadro clínico, acidentes não relacionados ao medicamento e pacientes propositalmente em regime de sedação. A intersemiose texto-história-cinema na minissérie ROMA da HBO

From August 2005 to March 2007, the two seasons (with 12 and 10 episodes respectively) of the award winning miniseries HBO‟s ROME were aired by the Home Box Office (HBO) channel. With screenplay signed by various writers and directors, the TV series was a coproduction of HBO (USA) and BBC (UK) with support from RAI (Italy), and the show was filmed in multiple locations, but mainly in Cinecittà Film Studios in Rome, very famous for having been headquarters also for Federico Fellini‟s movies. In the first season, the miniseries depicts the conquest of Gaul, made by the military genius of Gaius Julius Caesar, and the political trajectory that made him accumulate power to such an extent that this divided Roman citizens into two factions, one supporting and the other opposing him, the latter focused mainly on the historic figure of General Gnaeus Pompey Magnus. The second season shows the period of civil war following the assassination of Caesar, and the future rise to power of his nephew, adopted son and sole heir, Gaius Octavian Augustus, who was destined to overcome his rivals as well as their allies in the triumvirate that had been formed to pursue and punish Caesar‟s assassins. These facts are well known and usually crowd the mind and imagination of every minimally educated person. The HBO series broke new ground not only for the talent of its writers, directors and actors, not only for its visual effects and locations nor for the vibrancy and grandeur of historical scenes – after all, “historical movies” in general do the same – but it has done so also by the (re)construction of historical events from the perspective of a pair of protagonists of whom too little is known: the centurions Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus, who are the only low-rank soldiers mentioned by Caesar in his book Commentaries on the Gallic War (Commentarii de Bello Gallico V.44). Thus, the fictionalization of events also took into account several Roman civilization data which were scattered through historical sources and also those that belong to the modern knowledge of material culture, resulting in a TV series whose filmic aesthetics has rare beauty and creativity. From the survey of textual, historical and cultural data put together in this film, as well as the distance featuring the creative space in the dimension of the gap between them, this paper aims to highlight two pivotal moments of visual and narrative strategies of the show: the opening credits footage and the final scenes of the first season of HBO's Rome.

Abordagem do patrimônio histórico de bens culturais arquitetônicos nos planos diretores de pequenos municípios

This article discusses the preservation of cultural heritage, particularly the historical and architectural, in small municipalities in São Paulo State, in particular the Central Administrative Region. It pointed out that urban planning and master plans may represent an opportunity for such municipalities definitely incorporate preservation, locally. It also presents a small survey of considerations of national heritage at the municipal level and by CONDEPHAAT and IPHAN.
