Dretske e o problema dos qualia

The aim of this paper is to present and discuss Fred Dretske’s (1995) suggestion for analysis of the problem of qualia. Such a problem was acknowledged following Thomas Nagel’s discussion in his classical paper “What is it like to be a bat”. In the paper, Nagel (1974) postulates the impossibility of knowing aspects of human experience from a third-person perspective. He considers that qualitative aspects of a subject’s experience, fundamental for characterization of qualia, would be lost during the course of objective descriptions of it. Based on his Representational Thesis of Mind, Dretske argues that if we were to consider mind to be the representational aspect of the brain, the nature of qualia would thus be representational. In this context, mental facts related to experiences would be representational facts: if we were to know the nature of these representational facts, we would also know the experience the system represents. Given this understanding, we discuss to what extent the Dretskean proposal constitutes (or not) an alternative for the problem of qualia.

Realismo, Nominalismo e Cartesianismo: Sentido e natureza das idéias como representações do mundo

The approach about the ideas, understood as metal representations, has practically bookmarked the whole Philosophy History, since the ancient Greece to the contemporary period. A lot of interpretations have been given to the meaning and to the nature of the ideas by many schools, among them lots of Realism slopes. This paper aims to present, from a historical and epistemological fragment, some theoretical perpectives, with emphasis in the realistic, nominalist and Cartesian proposals in relation to the formation and nature of the ideas.

Origem da vida na terra: um estudo à luz da teoria piagetiana

Ao longo de nosso desenvolvimento, estamos constantemente em contato com temas relacionados ao funcionamento dos sistemas sociais. Sob o enfoque psicogenético piagetiano, observamos, em inúmeras pesquisas, que essas informações são compreendidas por meio de um longo trabalho individual, ou seja, não são incorporadas nas mentes dos sujeitos por absorção passiva. Um destes temas refere-se à origem da vida. O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar as ideias de crianças e adolescentes a respeito da origem dos seres vivos. Para tanto, utilizou-se uma entrevista clínica sobre a temática e os dados foram analisados conforme os níveis de compreensão da realidade social. Os resultados apontam que grande parte dos estudantes recorre à explicação criacionista, mesmo tendo contato, no ambiente escolar e nas aulas de ciências, com a abordagem científica acerca da origem da vida. À medida que conhecer os processos cognitivos que perpassam a mente dos alunos é fundamental para embasar intervenções pedagógicas, favorecendo o processo de ensino aprendizagem, pretendeu-se, com este estudo, fornecer informações acerca da construção do conhecimento social, bem como contribuições ao ensino de ciências.

Jogo de papéis e linguagem: diálogos possíveis entre Vigotski e Bakhtin

In this paper we present ongoing research in which we approach the regulatory role of language in role play in children aged six and seven. In research, we seek an understanding of the relationship between language, ownership and complexity of the children's game. The hypothesis guiding the research is that the dialogical relations between children and adults and among children, while playing, contribute to children's learning game. Procedures are being used interpretive ethnographic research that focuses on the human meaning of social relations, waged by the subjects in a particular historical context and its elucidation and exposition by one researcher. This approach allows closer studies of Vygotsky and Bakhtin scholars of language that emphasize the regulatory role of language in human relationships and value the dialogic exchange between researcher and researched; active subjects of the research process. The data were produced by means of observation and interview, in a field diary records, photographs and audio recordings. They are being screened in thematic groups and analyzed using interpretative narration. The participants were two teachers and two classes of the first year of an Elementary school (EMEF) School of Municipal Elementary School Crane, State of Sao Paulo, totaling 45 subjects. Bearing in mind the above assumptions, are presented and analyzed data that allow to anticipate some results.

Since an enabled, well prepared professional develops of doing his efficient way inside the organization (or institution), and it bears in mind what must always be updated and prepared so the new technologies of the information and communication changes are in constant, therefore the professional of the information (archivist) must be constantly looking for apprenticeship, to be enabled through the continued education.

Dar corpo à didática: diálogos internacionais

The article uses theoretical approaches as simplexity, neuroscience and enactivism to discuss everyday classroom activities. It tries to transpose the classical bipolar division between mind and body, through these approaches in cognitive science. Two experiments on the body’s role in teaching are presented to demonstrate the relevance of the awareness of the body, to improve performance in the classroom. The first experiment uses neurofeedback to measure the body temperature, as a means to understand the role of the body in self-regulation and control of the attention. The second uses a bracelet multi-sensor, which provides data on the energy spent by the teacher in daily activities in the classroom. Italian and Brazilian researchers cooperate in this experimental path of inclusive teaching, to be used in classes with children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

O Cirque du Soleil e a trangressão natural do medo

O medo é uma emoção natural do ser humano, podendo representar um diferencial importante em relação à performance motora, especialmente quando se focaliza o ambiente das atividades físicas no Circo, mais particularmente do Cirque Du Soleil, por ser este bastante rico em desafios corporais. O Cirque Du Soleil é um império de entretenimento que tem sede nas cidades de Montréal e Quebec no Canadá e a transgressão do natural e a realização do impossível por meio do corpo humano representam as características básicas e marcantes desse espetáculo circense, carregado de emoções. Sendo assim, o objetivo do estudo centra-se em investigar a presença ou ausência do medo nas performances de um artista do Cirque Du Soleil, identificando seu significado e as maneiras com que este lida com esta emoção, antes e após o espetáculo e durante os treinos e ensaios. O estudo, de natureza qualitativa, foi desenvolvido em duas etapas, sendo a primeira referente a uma revisão de literatura acerca das temáticas propostas e a segunda relativa a uma pesquisa exploratória, utilizando-se como instrumento para coleta de dados um questionário contendo perguntas abertas, aplicado a uma amostra intencional composta por 1 integrante do Cirque Du Soleil, com o domínio do idioma português. Os dados foram analisados descritivamente, por meio da Técnica de Análise de Conteúdo Temático e indicam que artistas circenses sentem medo, ansiedade e nervosismo, além de alterações corporais, como aceleração do batimento cardíaco, antes de apresentações e diante do aprendizado de novos movimentos, que podem causar acidentes, tendo em vista que interferem na performance. O sujeito tenta controlar essas reações com pensamentos positivos, uma vez que entende que o medo é fruto de algo fictício proveniente da sua mente e utiliza a respiração para se acalmar. Tatiana Belinky: a presença de suas obras em sala de aula

The life and work of Tatiana Belinky are steeped in fantasy, his works speak of magic and charm of the stories. This research aimed to investigate the knowledge that teachers in the early years of Primary Education (Early Childhood and 1st year of elemen tary school education) have on the work of Tatiana Belinky. Therefore, a survey research theoretical framework in printed documents and digital media (websites and platforms indexed) was performed in order that he might collect data about the life and work of this writer. Concomitantly, the benchmark survey, a field study with teachers from preschool (4) 1st year of elementary school (2), a public school in the town of Jaú, in which a questionnaire semi - structured questions was used was performed . The survey and qualitative study, a case study allowed the lifting of the life and work of the author, approximately 104 considered early childhood education. As to knowledge of teachers studied in the research almost all said they knew the author, however there were few works cited by them

Construção da imagem corporal na fase pré-escolar

This image is constructed from six months in the infant´s contact with his mother by touch,thought the reflection of his image in the mirror and then in the contexto f activies préschool- didatic educator pedagogical proposes by consolidating the six years age. This importance of stdying the construction of body image pré-school educator is to prevent a failure in the process causing the child to change that image generating blocks and physical or psychological dificulties in the socialization process of children by promoting distortion of body image . O study objective is to understand how such package is the process of building up this image in preschool and your contribution to the process of learning of child. A methodology was a research review on amaig body, enconpassing the overall development of child and adult disorders the failure of the process constructive in this picture and a brief educational propose of how early childhood educator can work with this theme in pré-school. This study concluded that this topic is important to be working in the Field of education encompasses a degree in Physical Education and Pedagogy words.

Mecânica quântica e sua relação com terapias alternativas

Este trabalho propôs uma discussão crítica sobre os conceitos e fenômenos da Mecânica Quântica (MQ) empregados na explicação cientifíca que dá suporte quanto ao princípio de funcionamento de algumas terapias alternativas ou sobre a elaboração de seus respectivos medicamentos, em especial, Homeopatia e Cura Quântica. Essa discussão se faz importante para munir o leitor com argumentos sólidos calcados na teoria quântica e confrontá-los coma as ideias de simpatizantes leigos dessas terapias. Portanto, o trabalho visou descrever fatos históricos que tornaram possível a construção teórica da Mecânica Quântica, elaborou um resumo da loso a dominante que norteava o pensamento imediatamente anterior a MQ e o conflito que se seguiu em decorrência das implicações deste novo ramo da Física. Explorou o paradoxo EPR e o consequente teorema de John Bell sobre as desigualdades até chegar no experimento de Alain Aspect envolvendo laser para responder de forma prática e definitiva o paradoxo EPR. Finalmente, o trabalho apresentou um resumo das abordagens e argumentações defendidas pelos proponentes das terapias alternativas e confrontou com os conceitos da Mecânica Quântica, para enfim apresentar ao público um estudo científico sobre Homeopatia e Cura Quântica, e compreender os limites e equívocos empregados a essas terapias
