The present invention comprises composites with multifunctional characteristics, being capable of substituting glass, with significant advantages, with particular emphasis on flexibility, for a variety of applications such as, for example, display screens and others. Among other aspects, the product that constitutes the object of the invention is particularly characterized by rendering bacterial cellulose transparent, in addition to being flexible, biocompatible and able to replace glass in 100% of possible applications. Among other aspects, the development of the composites according to the present invention allows an effective increase in optical transmission, enabling an optical transmission of more than 90%, such transparency being necessary, equally, for the development of medical devices, for example.

Corporate governance can be understood as management mechanisms that through external and internal controls are going to reduce the distance between minority stakeholders and the control power of the company. In that context, the information management, the information mediation and the information dissemination is very necessary, because the establishment of the good communication, quick, clear and voluntary, in order to establish a confidence climate in the relation of the company with the society, creditors, and collaborators especially with investors. In Brazil, the model created by the stock exchange of São Paulo called of new market , brings in his additional conduct rules purpose to them required by the Brazilian legislation and possessed like base the equity in the handling between part, the transparency in the disclosure of information and responsibility in the installment count. Desenvolvimento e caracterização de formulação cosmética contendo nanopartículas de dióxido de titânio para proteção solar

O protetor solar é um produto extremamente importante para proteger a pele da radiação ultravioleta proveniente do sol e capaz de reduzir a incidência de câncer de pele. Os filtros solares são divididos em orgânicos e inorgânicos e, dentre os inorgânicos, se encontra o TiO2 que atua refletindo, espalhando e absorvendo as radiações UV, além de ser fotoestável e de baixo potencial de irritabilidade dérmica. Neste trabalho foram desenvolvidas formulações cosméticas em forma de gel contendo nanopartículas de dióxido de titânio capazes de agir como fotoprotetores físicos e que mantem a transparência ao serem aplicados sobre uma superfície, como a pele. Foram desenvolvidos xerogéis a base de nanopartículas de TiO2 com tamanho e superfície controlados. A partir dessas nanopartículas foi possível preparar formulações cosméticas contendo nanopartículas redispersas de xerogéis a base de TiO2. Esses sistemas foram avaliados por testes de citotoxicidade e foi obtido um resultado favorável para a continuidade da pesquisa, sugerindo o uso deste material em humanos sem causar danos. Foram feitas as caracterizações físico químicas e estruturais. A análise de FPS indicou amplo espectro da formulação, o potencial zeta mostrou que é possível evitar aglomerações das nanopartículas em pHs utilizados para formulações tópicas, a reologia demonstrou que as formulações apresentam comportamento de recuperação da consistência e organização do material inicial após seu desarranjo durante o cisalhamento. As caracterizações serviram para obter um conhecimento da estrutura química e física das amostras que contém as nanopartículas de dióxido de titânio, para que seja possível fazer uma análise crítica e melhor qualificar o protetor solar desenvolvido.

Paralelização de algoritmos de trimap utilizando a arquitetura Cuda

Techniques of image combination, with extraction of objects to set a final scene, are very used in applications from photos montages to cinematographic productions. These techniques are called digital matting. With them is possible to decrease the cost of productions, because it is not necessary for the actor to be filmed in the location where the final scene occurs. This feature also favors its use in programs made to digital television, which demands a high quality image. Many digital matting algorithms use markings done on the images, to demarcate what is the foreground, the background and the uncertainty areas. This marking is called trimap, which is a triple map containing these three informations. The trimap is done, typically, from manual markings. In this project, methods were created that can be used in digital matting algorithms, with restriction of time and without human interaction, that is, the creation of an algorithm that generates the trimap automatically. This last one can be generated from the difference between a color of an arbitrary background and the foreground, or by using a depth map. It was also created a matting method, based on the Geodesic Matting (BAI; SAPIRO, 2009), which has an inferior processing time then the original one. Aiming to improve the performance of the applications that generates the trimap and of the algorithms that generates the alphamap (map that associates a value to the transparency of each pixel of the image), allowing its use in applications with time restrictions, it was used the CUDA architecture. This position shows that organization´s consistent speechs are connected with its institutional mission and effort besides, it is value and sensitive to interested parts that emphasis the environmental preservation and environmental project´s introduction, integrating organization with community. On this context it is constructed a discussion about Sustainability Report´s content and guidelines used for sustainability reporting framework, as where as main environmental organizational activities, analyzing three different companies and its respective Sustainability Reports on 2009. Endotélio da córnea e facoemulsificação em cães

This study aims, by a literature review, to evaluate the effects of the phacoemulsification surgery into the endothelial cells of the cornea, especially on dogs. The phacoemulsification is a surgical technique of cataract surgery, and presents a series of factors pre, trans and post operation that can affect the cornea endothelium. Knowing that the cornea transparency is essential to the preservation of the visual acuity, and that the endothelium cells do not demonstrate an adequate regeneration, it is important to the surgeon to be aware of these factors in order to avoid or to minimize them. Among then can be mentioned: previous diseases, surgical and chemical trauma, intra-ocular lens, uveitis etc. As consequence, a reduction on the number of endothelium cells and edema can be observed, which can lead to a loss of vision by definitive cornea opacity or to late visual recuperation

Efeitos do deplecionamento induzido do reservatório de Salto Grande, Rio Paranapanema(SP/PR) sobre as assembléias de microcrustáceos (Cladocera e Copepoda) de duas lagoas marginais

No reservatório de Salto Grande (22º53’53’’S / 49º59’33’’W), Rio Paranapanema (SP/PR), é realizado um tipo de manejo (redução do nível de água) para redução da biomassa da macrófita submersa Egeria densa desde 2004. Estas plantas causam perdas econômicas para o programa de geração elétrica e infortúnio para a população local. O reservatório de Salto Grande possui lagoas marginais que apresentam elevada densidade dessas macrófitas e são tidas como ambientes de alta importância para o desenvolvimento, alimentação e reprodução de muitas assembléias, principalmente as de microcrustáceos zooplanctônicos. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar as mudanças na estrutura (composição, riqueza, abundância e diversidade) das assembléias de microcrustáceos zooplanctônicos (Cladocera e Copepoda) e suas relações com as alterações nas condições limnológicas decorrentes da variação de nível em duas lagoas marginais (Pedra Branca e Guaritá) em função do deplecionamento. Foram realizadas amostragens mensais de abril/2005 a julho/2006, além de coletas nictemerais durante o processo de deplecionamento (agosto/05) e um mês após o mesmo. Para a análise do zooplâncton foram amostrados 150 litros de água superficial em cada lagoa (região limnética). Simultaneamente, foram medidas as variáveis físicas e químicas da água: temperatura, pH, oxigênio dissolvido, condutividade elétrica, transparência, turbidez, material em suspensão (total, frações orgânica e inorgânica) e concentração de clorofila a. As variáveis limnológicas demonstraram um padrão de variação sazonal, além da influência do deplecionamento, principalmente sobre a temperatura e oxigênio dissolvido. Efeitos fotocrômico e termocrômico em ormosils dopados com azobenzenos

The sol-gel process and the wide variety of alkoxides commercially available have facilitated the processing of various Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials. In general, the hybrids are excellents matrix to incorporate organic or inorganic dopants that presents photochromic, thermochromic, and halochromic effects and in some cases photorefractive effects. The GPTS-TEOS hybrid matrix when deposited in the form of film is very resistant, adherent, has excellent transparency in visible region and allows to be doped with various azo-dye and metal salts of unusual oxidation states. One of the main characteristics of the azo-dyes when immersed in some hybrid matrix , is the capacity to isomerizes through group Azo (-N = N-) would can be commutated between the Cis (Z) and Trans (E) configurations by means of light or heat. Our goal was through the sol-gel process to prepare hybrid films of GPTS-TEOS doped with azo-dyes Methyl Red and Disperse Red 1, and characterize them optically. The characterizations are performed using techniques of UV / Vis spectroscopy, to identify changes in the absorption band of azo-dyes in the presence of optical pumping, (photochromic effects), in function of temperature (thermochromic effect). These properties are of wide scientific and technological interest because they will contribute to the confection Smart Windows (windows sensible to light), temperature sensors monitored optically and also in the recording of amplitude and phase diffraction gratings

Jornalismo econômico como exercício da cidadania: uma análise da divulgação econômica na mídia oficial e nos veículos Universo Online e O Estado de São Paulo

The present study had the intention to demonstrate how the language used by official sources of economy helps to keep the limitation and lack of accessibility of economic journalism to non-specialist readers. Over two weeks, we compared the disclosures in the economics editorial office of the site Universo Online and the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo to those cited in official reports. From this analysis of more than 50 issues selected for the sample, was observed how the technical language used by the official press makes more difficult the access to information and citizenship. Besides the comparison and description of the reports, the study involved the content analysis employed in the media. It was noted the presence of biased approaches and materials poorly cleared. The language used in many cases was not appropriate to the type of audience for which the news was heading. One of the most serious problems, perhaps, was the copy and paraphrase of press releases. The reports, most are limited to the specialist showed, contrary to the duty of public transparency, while highlighting the problems, the study also showed well-written texts that indicate a promising future for citizen and economic journalism

Avaliação do ciclo de vida dos tubos de PVC produzidos no Brasil

Naturally characterizes the human being the interference in the environment to ensure their survival and also convenience. After numerous environmental accidents caused by unbridled pursuit of this goal, the concern about providing for current needs without compromising the ability of the future generations to supply their own, gained space. In order to contribute to sustainable development the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was implemented. This tool is based on the concept that if the environmental impacts of a product or service are known, it is possible to take better decisions concerning its environmental aspects. The purpose of this research is to conduct the LCA of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the world’s second most consumed thermoplastic. The methodology described in NBR ISO 14040 and NBR ISO 14044 was followed. As a result, the LCA of polyvinyl chloride produced in Brazil was obtained, and, therefore, the inventory of the product in question adapted to Brazilian reality. The research can be applied to various studies considering that actions were taken to ensure that it represents the Brazilian reality. Moreover, the procedures were described to guarantee the greatest transparency possible

There are many approaches and techniques about Administration and Management of Projects in order to provide greater agility, efficiency and transparency during the development process of new products. Simultaneously, a pursuit for a management approach more flexible in its planning and strategic changes during the development campaign, such as, comprehend the project's unpredictability level and deal it by monitoring and estimates tools. These features tend to accentuate itself in manufacturers of complex products, as aircraft and other aerospace technologies. By these conditions thus research aims to describe a case when the Agile Management Processing of Project Development Scrum was used in the Test area of an aircraft manufacturer. Focused on the Scrum implementation over the area, its adaptation, evolution and achievements the research proposes to analyze the improvements, indicate the obstacles and discuss solutions, contributing then to the theoretical basis of the considered theme and futures updates applicable to the area. The research is classified as qualitative; furthermore the information and data analyzed were obtained by interviews with professionals and observations of the processes from the major aircraft manufacturer
