O som, o sentido e o gênero Giallo: análise do filme Prelúdio Para Matar (1975), de Dario Argento

Considerado exemplo modelar do gênero giallo, estilo exclusivamente italiano e que envolve a solução de um mistério relacionado a uma série de assassinatos, o filme Prelúdio Para Matar (1975), do cineasta Dario Argento (1940-), é o objeto central deste projeto de pesquisa. Para esta pesquisa se dá especial atenção à investigação da trilha sonora, que, parcialmente, junto à composição visual, formalizam as dimensões de estrutura e sentido desse filme. Serão esclarecidas informações introdutórias sobre o som e composição para o cinema de horror e o ambiente de produção de filmes na Itália; os fatores concomitantes e anteriores a produção do objeto de estudo. No tocante à trilha, serão analisados dois elementos centrais da narrativa: (1) a música, com seus códigos específicos de composição sonora; (2) os efeitos sonoros que projetam ao espectador o reconhecimento ou não de determinados sons. Partindo da premissa que o som ainda é um elemento fílmico pouco explorado nas narrativas audiovisuais, esta pesquisa estabelece uma hipótese, a qual pode ser enunciada nos seguintes termos: a trilha musical e os efeitos de som, presentes no filme Prelúdio para matar, são elementos centrais para a articulação do gênero discursivo giallo nesse caso, co-participando, de modo visível ao espectador, com o controle, a estruturação e as estratégias de narração ali presentes

Fabricação e caracterização de diodo Schottky orgânico com arquitetura planar

Usually organic polymeric diodes are made with a semiconductor layer placed between two electrodes in a sandwich-like architecture, where the electrodes are deposited on the surfaces of a polymeric semiconductor film. This methodology leads to two main problems: i) the polymeric film top surface is rough and irregular, resulting in non-uniform electric field into the device; ii) during the deposition of metallic electrode in the top surface polymeric film, by thermal evaporation, occurs the diffusion of metal atoms into the polymeric film, changing the material electronic structure. Thus, the metal-semiconductor junction is not well defined, which is essential for the production of good quality Schottky diode, which exhibits ideality factor close to the unity and low turn-on voltage. In order to avoid these two problems, in the present research was proposed to manufacture an organic diode with the semiconductor polymeric layer deposited over bimetallic (gold and aluminum) interdigitated electrodes. The doping of the active layer was performed by immersing the device in hydrochloric acid solution with pH 2 during different times in order to promote different doping levels of the semiconductor polymer. Was verified that the proposed diode, which exhibits well-defined metal-semiconductor junction, operates as a Schottky diode, with good ideality factor, 10 ± 3, and low turn-on voltage, 1,2 ± 0,2 V, in comparison with conventional organic polymeric diodes. Contrasting with the ideality factor and turn-on voltage, the diode rectification ratio was obtained as 7, a value lower than the expected for a good organic diode. Was also showed that the diode characteristics were dependent on the semiconductor polymer doping level, and that the diode characteristics were optimized with doping promoted by immersion in the acid solution for times longer than 50 s. Professores de arquitetura diante da questão do desenvolvimento humano e da inclusão social das pessoas com deficiência

Professors of Architecture on the Subject of Human Development and Social Inclusion of People With Disabilities Historical-Cultural Psychology believes that the people appropriate the culture and develop themselves by social interactions. The architect acts indirectly on human development by producing spaces that allow varying levels of interaction between individuals. To know if the Brazilian Architecture courses are graduating professionals who facilitate the social inclusion of people with disabilities, this research aimed to investigate the concepts of Architecture teachers of a public university about this theme. After the interviews, the reports obtained were submitted to the categorical-content analysis method. Technical concepts predominated over reflective ones, except for the architecture concept, classified as a knowledge area which brings gains to human life.

Arquitetura de um sistema multiagente autônomo para supervisão e controle

This paper presents a multi-agent architecture that was designed to develop processes supervision and control systems, with the main objective to automate tasks that are repetitive and stressful, and error prone when performed by humans. A set of agents were identified, based on the study of a number of applications found in the literature, that use the approach of multi-agent systems for data integration and process monitoring to faults detection and diagnosis, these agents are used as basis of the proposed multi-agent architecture. A prototype system for the analysis of abnormalities during oil wells drilling was developed.

Uma arquitetura de memória: Museu e Arquivo Histórico Municipal de Presidente Prudente

O antigo edifício do Matadouro Municipal, aparece no cenário do município de Presidente Prudente como um importante elemento do imaginário social urbano e de forte valor arquitetônico e histórico. É possível perceber a presença de alguns marcos e lugares que revelam uma leitura da arquitetura histórica da cidade, sendo a área do Museu e Arquivo Histórico de Presidente Prudente um conjunto de interesse cultural neste espaço urbano. Este trabalho elabora uma análise detalhada da paisagem antiga e atual e quais são os registros histórico/culturais materializados no antigo matadouro e propõe adequar o edifício histórico às novas funções urbanas contemporâneas, com o propósito de preservar a função de museu e arquivo histórico e recuperar esta herança para cidade e seu valor patrimonial
