Classes sociais e família: nota para a pesquisa empírica

Nesta nota procura-se discutir, ainda que de forma provisória, alguns problemas teóricos implícitos nas pesquisas empíricas sobre família. O ponto de partida é a relação teórica entre classes sociais e família. Discute-se a ausência de referência empírica imediata do conceito de classe social e também as determinações da família enquanto estrutura de reprodução de agentes sociais. Sugere-se que esta reprodução social que ocorre através da famlia envolveria também elementos econômicos e ideológicos de forma mais próxima à estrutura ocupacional da força de trabalho. O exame das razoes teóricas e metodológicas bem como dos estudos empíricos levam à conclusão que aparentemente é pouco produtivo explicar as situações familiares apreendidas nas pesquisas empíricas apenas pela sua remissão direta à estrutura de classes.

Educational practices, behavior problems and children's social skills have been more studied in family context than in school context. This study aimed to compare, from the verbal report, educational practices of regular and special teacher in relation to children's behavior, concerning groups differentiated by reference indication of behavior problems in the classroom by the teacher and sex of the children. This study surveyed fifteen teachers and twenty-eight students (6-9 years), who were grouped in regular teaching (n = 18, kindergarten, elementary) and especial teaching (n = 10). The assessment with teachers was proceeded by using a questionnaire (Q-RSH-Pr) and a semi-structured interview (RE-HSE-Pr). Desenvolvimento econômico e desigualdade social: um estudo sobre os aspectos sociais presentes na obra de Raúl Prebisch

This study aims to conduct an analysis on the social aspects present in the works of the Argentine economist Raúl Prebisch (1901-1986). Based on the author's research on the economic development of the peripheral countries, it will be demonstrated how the social and economic factors have interconnected in the developmental theory of the peripheral worldwide economy. To achieve this goal, the six works of Prebisch considered essentials by Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) were used as main bibliographic axis. Such texts are: Introduction to Keynes, The Economic Development of Latin America and Its Principal Problems, Economic development or monetary stability: the false dilemma, Towards a Dynamic Development Policy for Latin America, .Change and Development: Latin America's Great Task, Capitalismo periférico: crisis y transformación, Five stages in my thinking on development. Firstly the topics essential to economic development according to the author will be exposed, such as industrialization of peripheral countries as a means of raising the income of masses and the way it should be coordinated beyond the theoretical author's choice on historical events, the evolution of the deterioration of terms of trade between peripheral and central countries and the need for productivity gains to increase the income of the worker. Afterwards it will be exposed how such terms align with social inequalities and which definitions are incorporated by the author on the subject

As Ciências Sociais no Brasil: trajetória, história e institucionalização

A trajetória do pensamento social no Brasil remonta à segunda metade do século XIX e envolve muitas correntes, linhagens e famílias intelectuais que enformam as Ciências Sociais no Brasil. Por isso, há controvérsias quanto à fundação das Ciências Sociais, considerada, de um lado, por meio da trajetória histórica, e, de outro, pela institucionalização do trabalho científico. O debate ganha complexidade quando são considerados os marcos fundadores, as características, o significado e as implicações dessa institucionalização que, longe de esclarecer a questão, cria novos problemas para o entendimento e avaliação do processo. Rediscutir as circunstâncias histórico-sociais e as configurações intelectuais de sua fundação e desenvolvimento, entendemos ser pertinente e necessário, sendo esse o propósito deste artigo.

Elementos psicomotores e fatores sociais relacionados ao desenvolvimento motor e dificuldades de aprendizagem em crianças ingressantes no ensino fundamental

In humans, psychic and motor skills are interdependent, and therefore, cannot fail to take into account the influence of a good psychomotor development in the prevention of learning difficulties. Another factor that interferes with the learning process is the social. Family problems, socioeconomic status of the child, among others, may be associated with learning difficulties and, consequently, the student's performance. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate through the elements of psychomotor, if a delay in neuropsychomotor development may be related to the presence of learning problems in children entering elementary school. Also, determine whether there were differences regarding the presence or absence of these difficulties in students from middle and low social class and have family problems or not. For this, we analyzed two classes of 49 students from 1 year of elementary education at a public school in the city of Bauru/SP, aged between 6 and 7 years. These students were tested for the ENE proposed by Lefèvre (1976) to assess the maturity of the nervous system. A pre-designed questionnaire was answered by the teachers of classes to know students' academic performance, learning difficulties presented by them, social status and the presence of family problems. All students participating in the survey had the term sheet signed by the parents, allowing participation in the study. To reach the results, we applied the Anova and Tukey test for comparison analysis of mean age in the performance of ENE. To investigate the existence of a relationship between performance in the ENE and learning difficulties, we used the calculation of Pearson correlation. The study of the parental educative social skills is extremely important for promoting the development and learning of children within interactive situations. The objective of this study was to assess reliability and validity of the Parental Educative Social Skills Interview Script (RE-HSE-P). It was proceeded: a) the test-retest reliability assessment, with a sample of 41 participants assessed in two distinct moments, with an interval of two months and the Cronbach's alpha was calculated; b) 213 parents of preschoolers (n =114) and school age children (n = 98) evaluated their children,were assessed for the construct and discrimination validity studies, differentiated in groups: a) demand for psychological intervention x community children without problems and b) children with behavior problems x children without behavior problems. The results showed satisfactory values of internal consistency and validity; besides, the factorial analysis pointed a unifactorial structure called positive parent-child interaction
