The Schwinger quantum action principle is a dynamic characterization of the transformation functions and is based on the algebraic structure derived from the kinematic analysis of the measurement processes at the quantum level. As such, this variational principle, allows to derive the canonical commutation relations in a consistent way. Moreover, the dynamic pictures of Schrödinger, Heisenberg and a quantum Hamilton-Jacobi equation can be derived from it. We will implement this formalism by solving simple systems such as the free particle, the quantum harmonic oscillator and the quantum forced harmonic oscillator.

The Triunfo Member, from Rio Bonito Formation, is a potential reservoir for hydrocarbons and water, and contains coal deposits in the northern state of Paraná. On the eastern edge of the Paraná Basin, the Triunfo Member has two depocenters in Santa Catarina and offlap to the North of Paraná; here in two adjacent areas characterized his final lapout. These areas have a number of wells core/logged with the initials MA and NF, Monte Alegre and Figueira North, which were drilled by the Companhia de Pesquisa e Recursos Minerais (CPRM), in order to research for coal in the Rio Bonito Formation. In this study, three wells in the MA area, and they were MA-4, MA-6 and MA-7 was subjected to vertical facies analysis (1D), from the description of wells and processing of data, so that later it was possible to chronocorrelate thereof, together with MA-5 well, through cycles facies (2D). This is a thesis which has never been developed in these wells mentioned above, it was possible to observe the development of part of the Member Taciba (top) and the Member Triunfo as a whole, can be determined three cycles facies to the latter, as well as their depositional environments. Finally, the chronocorrelate showed that there is a tabular architecture between the wells studied, this occurred because of subsidence uniform

The family Chironomidae is one of the most important groups within the macroinvertebrate communities, both in density and in richness, and because of its high adaptive value, has a wide distribution on the planet. These and other more specific features of each genus allow the use of this group of biomonitoring studies in the aquatic ecosystem, however, primarily, it is necessary to inventory the aquatic fauna. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the taxonomic composition of Chironomidae associated with Eichhornia azurea in six lateral lagoons of Paranapanema River, where only five of them have very little information about the aquatic fauna associated with floating macrophytes. Furthermore, we analyzed the influence of environmental conditions on the richness and density of this community. Samples (biotic and abiotic) were held in March and August 2009 on the Ivo, Carmo, Sete Ilhas, Barbosa, Poço da Pedra and Coqueiral lagoons, which are upstream of the Jurumirim Reservoir. Samples with an area of 0.1976 m2 were collected at three banks of E. azurea of each lagoon. Then, they were washed in formaldehyde and water and fixed in 70% alcohol. The identification of morphospecies recorded 38 taxa (32 in March and 37 in August), where the Ivo lagoon is the richest (27 taxa). The density of each group varied according to each pond and is generally Asheum sp., Chironomus sp., Beardius sp., Parachironomus sp., Labrundinia sp., Tanytarsus sp., Ablabesmyia sp. and Polypedilum sp. the most representative. Limnophyes sp., Denopelopia sp., Paratanytarsus sp. and Parametriocnemus sp. were genders in lower density. The Dominance index ranged between 0.1490 (Barbosa Lagoon in March) and 0.4114 (Poço da Pedra Lagoon in March), and the Diversity Index ranged from 2.08 (Coqueiral Lagoon in March) and 3.58 (Barbosa Lagoon in August). The concentration of dissolved oxygen and pH were the environmental variables most correlated with the groups ...

In engineering, for correct designing the structural components required for cyclical stresses, it is necessary to determine a limit of resistance to fatigue, which is the maximum amplitude of the applied tension under which the fatigue failure does not occurs after a certain number cycles. The marine environment is hostile, not only by the high pressure, corrosion, but also by low temperatures. Petrol Production units, composed of the risers (pipelines connecting the oil well to the ship), are dimensioned to remain installed for periods of 20 up to 30 years, and must therefore be prepared to support various efforts, such as tidal, wind currents and everything that is related. This paper focuses on a study on the fatigue behavior of microalloyed steel, API 5L Grade X70, used to transport oil and gas by pipelines. For analysis, we obtained the curves S-N (stress vs. number of cycles) using laboratory data collected from cylindrical longitudinal and transverse specimens used in axial fatigue test in accordance with ASTM E466. The tensile tests and microhardness were performed to characterize the mechanical properties of the samples, and it was found that the values meet the specifications of the standard API 5L. To characterize microstructurally the material, it was also made a metallographic analysis of the steel under study, and the origin of the fatigue crack was investigated with the support of a scanning electron microscope (SEM).

A wedge facies cycle it‟s a body of sedimentary rock, bounded above and below by unconformity and which represents a transgressive-regressive cycle of deposition. This cycle is formed by the following succession of facies: non-marine (N), transitional-coarse texture, and marine-fine texture; The objective of this study have been members of the sandstones and Triumph Siderópolis, seconded by rare calcareous sandstones and very thin limb Paraguaçu. Through analysis of facies in wells testified by CPRM, it was possible to group on facies successions and set the standard stacking. The Triunfo Member consists of three cycles of facies, lithology whose standard indicates a vertical arrangement ''type'' tuning up, other words, a component sandy bottom in the form of '' box'', followed by components sandy-clayey and clayey-carbonaceous (1st and 2nd cycle) and / or shale and limestone (3rd cycle), represented by the base member Paraguaçu. The first cycle only occurs on NF-5 wells and NF-6 in the form of Onlap channel dug in post-Itararé group. The cycle II also reaches wells NF-4 and NF-3 to the north, while the cycle III reaches the southern area, well NF-9. The member Paraguaçu, well PP-25 is predominantly clay-síltico, also stand out limestones and sandstones. The limestones are not coastal marine organisms probably connected with the algae and cyanobacteria, the sandstones are fine-textured, very thin and coastal deposition environment. The member Siderópolis, well NF-2 consists of a sandstone fluvial-estuarine deployed in the valley section, and succeeded by sandstones and siltstones bioturbed, they have linked the transgression of the Fm. The area of this work is located along the Northern portion of the Pelotas´s basin. The onshore region extends from the Southern portion São Paulo State to the North of Rio Grande do Sul State, with a total area of 440 530 km ². The objective of the research is to characterize the main geological structures of the outcropping basement in the Paraná Basin and its correlation with the offshore portion of the Pelotas Basin. The characterization was performed through the integration of surface (SRTM images and outcrops) and subsurface data (seismic data and well logs), the method includes the use of remote sensing techniques and seismic interpretation. The main structures to be analyzed are the Tibagi Lineament and the “Torres Syncline in order to verify its influence on the geological evolution and deformation of the basin. As result, it was identified the continuity of the both structures inside the offshore basin (Pelotas Basin); but only the Tibagi Lineament represents an important structural feature in the offshore basin. In this sense, the Tibagi lineament shows a NW-SE direction along the both basins (Pelotas and Paraná) and it is defined by drainages and relief on the continental portion. It was classified as a graben structure limited by normal faults and it also was verified a trend of faults inside the lineament that cuts all the sedimentary package of Itararé Group from Paraná Basin. The Torres syncline is a structure that connects the arches of Ponta Grossa and Rio Grande, showing NW-SE orientation and a low angle dip in the NW direction. Its projection into the Pelotas Basin was not recognized by the methods applied in this work, because a preliminary analyze indicates that its projection corresponds to a structural high inside the Pelotas Basin

The Vazante Fault Zone (VFZ), located northwestward of Minas Gerais, host the largest zinc deposit known in the Brazilian territory. This structure is hosted in Vazante’s Group rocks, a metassedimentary sequence of marine environment. Near Vazante is situated the south end of the VFZ. To the west, occur the Serra do Garrote inflexion, characterized by a curvature in the contact of Formations Serra do Garrote and Serra do Poço Verde. This structure is through the analysis of aerial imagery of the region and represented in the published geological maps. The objective of this work is to understand what causes this inflexion and determine whether it affects the VZF, causing a shift in the same, and possibly, in the mineralization as well. To this end, it was done a mapping work in the region covering the Serra do Garrote inflexion and the south end of the VFZ, in 1:25.000 scale, supplemented by petrographic description of thin section and geologic sections, with cooperated to the understanding of the structural evolution of the region. Data analysis allowed the identification of six deformation phases. The D1 an D2 phases generated the main foliation. The D3 phase generate kink bands folds, with NS axis and vertical axial plane. The fourth phase is responsible for generating the Vazante Fault Zone. The fifth phase produces low angle folds and shear zones, subparallel to S1//S2. The last phase generates folds with NW axis and vertical axial plane, with causes the inflection of lithologic contactas. Field observations also make possible the conclusion that the Vazante Fault Zone presents a south continuation, which is affected by deformation associated to D6 phase attributing to the trace of the VFZ a curved geometry, similar to that exhibited by lithologic contacts between units of the map
