Avaliação do efeito ambiental nas propriedades mecânicas e viscoelásticas de compósitos híbridos de titânio/fibra de carbono/resina epóxi

Hybrid composites combining metal plates and laminates with continuous fiber reinforced polymer, called fiber-metal (CHMF), have been particularly attractive for aerospace applications, due mainly to their high mechanical strength and stiffness associated with low density. These laminates (CHMF) consist of a sandwich structure consisting of layers of polymer composites and metal plates, stacked alternately. This setting allows you to combine the best mechanical performance of polymer composites reinforced with long fibers, to the high toughness of metals. Environmental effects should always be considered in the design of structural components, because these materials in applications are submitted to the effects of moisture in the atmosphere, the large cyclical variations of temperature around 82 ° C to -56 ° C, and high effort mechanical. The specimens of fibermetal composite were prepared at EMBRAER with titanium plates and laminates of carbon fiber/epoxy resin. Estudo dos micronutrientes na produção de ramnolipídios por mutante de Pseudomonas aeruginosa LBI

Os biossurfactantes apresentam inúmeras vantagens, como baixa toxicidade, biodegradabilidade e alta estabilidade, mas não são amplamente utilizados devido ao custo de produção. A utilização de substratos baratos, linhagens mutantes que associados à otimização das condições de cultivo pode levar a uma redução nos custos, possibilitando assim a substituição dos surfactantes sintéticos pelos biológicos. Uma maneira empregada para maximizar a produção dos biossurfactantes é a limitação de nutrientes. Os esforços empregados nesse sentido são direcionado para as proporções carbono: nitrogênio, entretanto os efeitos dos elementos traços são pouco conhecidos. Devido a esses fatores, o presente trabalho avaliou a importância dos seguintes elementos traços: ferro, zinco, cobalto, cobre, manganês e do sal citrato de sódio dihidratado, nas fermentações realizadas utilizando o mutante de Pseudomonas aeruginosa LBI 2A1. Para tanto foram realizadas fermentações em frascos Erlenmeyer, onde se utilizou diferentes concentrações desses elementos. A influência dos mesmos na produção de ramnolipídios foi constatada, uma vez que a produção desse biotensoativo foi aumentada em mais de três vezes alterando apenas a concentração de um único elemento traço (Fe). Os experimentos realizados permitem, também, inferir a respeito das melhores concentrações desses micronutrientes para a produção de ramnolipídios

Diagnóstico ambiental do Córrego Bandeirantes, município de Rio Claro, SP: parâmetros biológicos e metais-traço

This study was conducted to verify water quality and environmental impacts related to the occupation of the watershed of the Bandeirantes stream, located in Rio Claro, SP. The intention is to propose measures to enable the mitigation of negative impacts, and boosting the recovery and maintenance of the quality of water resources, preventing its complete degradation. Water analysis were performed at three different points, east, crossing the Ring Road (dirt road) and near the confluence with the Ribeirão Claro. The results indicated significant degradation of water, especially after the crossing, where it witnessed the accumulation of solid waste and easy access to the stream, both for animals as for people, due to limited riparian it. Another impact was observed the current construction of the Forum of Rio Claro in the right side of the stream studied, causing change in the landscape, change the flow properties and removal of existing vegetation at the site of work, defined as an environmentally protected area, as determined by existing law. Measures such as: restoration of riparian zones, effluent treatment, planned urban growth and environmental education of the population, would be essential to mitigate the environmental impacts of watershed Bandeirantes stream

The main purpose of this research is to raise, through lab rehearsals, the geometric properties of some oxisols from the region of Vale do Paraíba as well as comparing them to demands prescribed by Technical Specifications ESP08/05 of the Road Department of the State of Paraná, for sub-base or fine grained lateritic soil base (SAFL) and in the Technical Specification ET-DEP00/006 of the Road Department of the State of São Paulo (DER/SP) for subbase or crushed stone base. According to the results that were obtained it will be feasible to appraise the usage of these sorts of soils in structure layers of low-weight traffic pavements

Considerações sobre o gerenciamento da construção civil em obras residenciais verticais

The civil construction is an industrial sector of great economic importance and that it comes exponentially growing in the country. However, this activity is deficient in its management processes, and in this context that the management of construction as a way of organizing and controlling all the technical and construction of an enterprise. The literature shows that the manager has a key role throughout the process of planning, execution and analysis of the results of the work being of prime importance that all steps have its due attention in order to avoid any technical problems or lack information. The management’s main objective is the transparency of technical and financial information to investors and their assessments of physical and financial performances of the work intervened positively in quality, deadlines and costs. In this sense, this paper aims to present consideration about the proper management of a residential development in vertical construction

Within Textual-interactive Grammar, discourse markers are defined through a particular combination of linguistic features. One of them concerns the interactive role of discourse markers, and it is called “basic orientation of interaction”. As other authors have shown, this feature applies to expressions that play the following functions: Checking, Feedback, Injunction or Initiation. In this paper, we try to demonstrate that the feature under consideration also applies to Vocatives.

A simplificação como traço de um habitus tradutório para a Antropologia Brasileira em língua inglesa: um estudo baseado no corpus da oba O Povo Brasileiro de Darcy Ribeiro

The main purpose of this article is to investigate the social and linguistic behaviors of a translator, analyzing the use of simplification aspects in the translational process into English of the Anthropology developed by Darcy Ribeiro. With this aim, we used a parallel corpus composed by the work O povo brasileiro (1995) and by its respective translation, performed by Rabassa. The methodology used is that of Corpus-Based Translation Studies (BAKER, 1993, 1995, 1996; CAMARGO, 2005, 2007), Corpus Linguistics (BERBER SARDINHA, 2004) and Terminology (BARROS, 2004). We also adopted Sociology of Translation theories (SIMEONI, 1998, 2007; GOUANVIC,1999, 2005), as well as the habitus conception, proposed by Bourdieu (1980). Results show that this simplification may be found in Ribeiro’s translated texts, indicating the difficulties of conceptualizing the Brazilian universe in English

For data analysis, we adopted Sociology of Translation theories (SIMEONI, 1998, 2007; GOUANVIC, 1995, 1999), as well as the habitus conception, proposed by the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1980). We believe that, as pointed by Baker`s theories (1996), explicitation is a translator`s tendency or procedure, which explains, in the translated text, parts of the original text that have been left implicit by the author. Results show that this action may be found in Ribeiro’s translated texts, indicating the difficult of conceptualizing the Brazilian universe in English.

In this work of tensile strength was evaluated the efficacy of 4 cements (S. S. White zinc phoshate, Ketac Cem Easymix glass ionomer, RelyX Luting 2 composite resin/glass ionomer and Panavia 21 TC special acrylic resin) used to fix NiCr crowns to usinated titanium alloy abutments. Were used 40 abutments distributed in groups of 10 elements, to each material. The mechanical essays were developed at a MTS 810 universal machine, adjusted to a 0.5 mm/m velocity. The ANOVA applied to data pointed out the existence of significant differences between groups; the subsequent Tukey´s test (p<0.05) also detected significant differences, except at comparisons of phosphate versus RelyX and phosphate versus Ketac Cem. The better performance was presented by Panavia 21 (1,127.996 N); RelyX (478.197 N) showed itself similar only to phosphate (430.662 N), wich had a performance similar to that of Ketac Cem (227.705 N).
