The civil construction in Brazil has grown a lotover the last years. This has caused a greater competition between companies of the sector. A little difference in quality in service or product a company offers can determine their success in the market. There is a growing demand for tools that optimize processes and bring greater quality to each activity in these companies. Performance measurement systems make it possible to control process efficiency and effectiveness using performance indicators. Considering this need, the paper before you has the objective of creating basic guidelines to introduce performance measurement systems inbuilding installations project companies. A theoretical reference is presented to describe organizational aspects of project companies along with performance measurement systems characteristics. Using a qualitative research methodology, a study case was executed with interviews, observation and document analysis as evidence sources. In the study case, limitations where identified, such as, high degree of product and process flexibility, dependence on subjective analysis for decision making and lack of specialized information systems. Considering the theoretical reference and the study case,the proposed guidelines intend to ease and guarantee greater chances of success when implanting one of these systems

With the imposition of the suspension of production and subsequent banning of incandescent light bulbs will be necessary to replace it by other more energy-efficient. Although the main alternative is the compact fluorescent lamp, the environmental impact caused by it due to incorrect disposal and the amount of harmonics included in the network resulting in losses related to the quality of electric power system makes them sought new alternatives for lighting systems that are efficient and have low environmental impact. In this context, the LED (Lighting Emitting Diode), based on solid-state components, is presented as an option for new projects and replacement of existing lighting. In this work we studied aspects of energy, environmental and economic impacts of a possible replacement of conventional lighting systems for new technology. From laboratory tests and surveys of the costs of different types of lamps used for residential lighting, we performed a comparative analysis considering energy and economic aspects which showed that the LED technology, but has a high initial investment, it is best when power quality and environmental preservation are relevant factors in decision making for the choice of technology to be used in the lighting system

Control charts are very important tools in statistical quality control of industrial processes and its use started last century. Since its development, the charts have always been attributed to independent processes, i.e. without any correlation between samples. But nowadays, with the high level of automation in the industrial environment, it is noticeable the autocorrelation factor between samples. The main Xcharts used in monitoring quality characteristics represented by continuous variables are the mean (X ), amplitude (R) and variance (S²). Therefore, this work aims to analyze the performance of X and R charts and in of X and S² charts with different sample sizes (4 and 5) for monitoring autocorrelated processes. Through computer simulations using the Fortran software and the use of mathematical expressions was possible to obtain data and performance analysis of the detection power charts for independent observations and for autocorrelated observations according to the model AR (1). The results show that the effect of autocorrelation reduces the ability of monitoring the control charts and that, the greater this effect, the slower the chart becomes in misfits signaling

O contexto esportivo tem sido marcado por um numero crescente de torcedores, sendo esses algumas vezes apaixonados por esporte, ou meros curiosos que acompanham matérias jornalísticas, os mesmos torcedores que vibram nos momentos de vitória e vaiam nos momentos de derrota. Podemos dizer que essa torcida poderá desequilibrar o atleta a ponto de interferir em seu desempenho e levá-lo a uma ansiedade capaz de gerar outras fortes tensões, perdendo totalmente o controle da situação pela qual está passando. As equipes desportivas devem dar uma importância maior para a preparação psicológica dos atletas em função do modo como os fatores psicológicos, os agentes causadores de estresse e a baixa alto-estima causam interferência no cotidiano de um atleta. E essa preparação é sempre colocada em segundo plano quando comparada a preparação física, técnica e tática. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar qualitativamente qual a influência que a torcida pode exercer sobre o desempenho de atletas de voleibol durante uma partida, seja ela disputada com a torcida incentivando ou tentando atrapalhar os jogadores. Em pesquisa documental (uma entrevista feita em 1997), cujos dados encontram-se armazenados no LEPESPE, Laboratório de Estudos e Pesquisas em Psicologia do Esporte, IB/UNESP, sob código DEF/UNESP/MCZ/97, coletados em campeonatos esportivos, no estado de São Paulo, incluindo jogos oficiais da Secretaria de Esportes e Campeonatos Esportivos Universitários por equipe de pesquisadores do laboratório, percebeu-se que tanto em turmas de treinamento, como em jogos entre classes ou entre escolas é que uma primeira preocupação fica mesmo por conta do jogar para ganhar, seguida da intenção de se fazer um bom papel, uma bela figura. The aim of this work was to examine both the influence of anatomical and technical aspects on fertility rate of sheep based on the performance of transcervical artificial insemination (TCAI). Transcervical artificial insemination was performed with traction of the cervix in 122 ewes using frozen semen from 11 rams, both Santa Ines breed. The data collected were: type of external cervical opening (CO) (P - papilla; FL - flap; DB - duckbill, S - spiral; RO - rosette), duration of cervical manipulation (2-3, 4-5 and 6-7 minutes), degree of difficulty in cervical transposition (low, moderate, high) and presumed semen deposition site (SC - superficial cervical; DC - deep cervical; IU - intrauterine). The influence of these variables on pregnancy rate was evaluated. Cervical opening type and duration of cervical manipulation had no influence (p>0.05) on fertility. The degree of difficulty in cervical manipulation influenced (p<0.05) pregnancy rate, since insemination classified as low grade had 52% of pregnancy, while those classified as high recorded only 20%. The presumed site of semen deposition influenced significantly (p<0.05) fertility. Pregnancy rates of deposition at each site were: UI – 45.8%, DC – 25.7%; SC – 15.4%. As expected, deeper depositions resulted in higher fertility. In conclusion, the performance of TCAI did not depend on the anatomical classification of external cervical opening of ewe and the duration of cervical manipulation within the range tested (2-7 minutes). The TCAI may have higher fertility rates if difficulties in the application were reduced and the semen deposition was deeper.
