Sabe-se que as crenças do professor influenciam suas percepções, decisões e ações antes, durante ou depois da aula. Dessa forma, é importante que ele as conheça e reflita sobre as mesmas, o que pode levá-lo a possíveis alterações em suas práticas, possibilitando seu desenvolvimento profissional. Para levantar essas crenças é necessária a utilização de instrumentos e procedimentos que sejam eficientes e promovam reflexão. Neste artigo apresentaremos um trabalho cujo objetivo foi pesquisar quais tipos de crenças podemos detectar com o uso de diferentes instrumentos e procedimentos, investigando se estes afetam a maneira como os professores refletem sobre suas crenças e quais combinações entre eles são eficazes para a promoção de reflexão. O referencial teórico foi constituído de estudos sobre o pensamento do professor, crenças de professores e metodologia na investigação de crenças. Foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativo-interpretativista de natureza etnográfica, com cinco professoras de inglês de uma escola de línguas de uma cidade do interior de SP. Para a coleta de dados foram aplicados cinco instrumentos e procedimentos de pesquisa: questionário, grupo focal, auto-relato, observação de aulas e entrevistas (com a técnica stimulated recall). Os resultados mostraram que é possível levantar crenças sobre aprendizagem e ensino com os instrumentos e procedimentos selecionados e que os mesmos interferem na maneira como os professores refletem sobre suas crenças, entretanto, a combinação deles pode ser um bom caminho para o desencadeamento do processo reflexivo.

O trabalho analisa artigos publicados em periódicos educacionais brasileiros entre 1930 e 1960, cujos temas são educação, democracia, filosofia, ciência e verdade, entre outros, desenvolvidos segundo concepções de Dewey. em todos, ocupam posição central as noções de mudança e transformação, em oposição a estabilidade, fixidez e permanência. O objetivo é mostrar a relevância da noção de mundo em movimento, tanto para os brasileiros quanto para Dewey.

In this work it was demanded to verify the zinc critical levels in soybean plants cultivated in a Dark-Red Latosol. So the experiment was carried out in vases with 4 liters of soil, which has received five doses of Zn (0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 ppm) in three correction levels. It was verified that the critical levels of the nutrient in plant (for 90% from highest production) was between 36 and 53 ppm to the dry matter yield and grains in treatments with correction.

Information is one of the most essential raw materials of the journalist. Therefore, for a positive professional development in all means of communication, one must use it with quality. Thus, the development of information proficiency can help with the execution of the job in a more efficient and responsible manner. All of which is indispensable facing the importance of the journalistic discourse as a mediator nowadays, as well as the challenges that the journalist faces with the advent of new information and communication technologies.

Examines the historiography of the geographical ideas in Brazil starting from the analysis of Monbeig's work which has two essential elements: the positivist-functionalist discourse, and the ideals of the politic liberalism that are his main preoccupation. The use of anthropometric measurements of triceps (TSF) and subscapular skinfolds (SSF) and mid-upper arm muscle circumference (MAMC) was examined as far as the diagnosis of energy-protein malnutrition (EPM) is concerned. The study was undertaken in five groups of patients (n = 231): arterial hypertension (AH, n = 63), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, n = 17), hemodialyzed chronic renal failure (CRF, n = 19), critically ill patients with an acute event (CA, n = 42) and critically ill patients with chronic diseases (CCD, n = 90). The results were compared to those obtained in a group of healthy individuals (control group, n = 102). The control group and the group of patients were allocated in subgroups according to sex and age (less than 50 and more than 50 years). It was expected that significant differences would be found for the anthropometric values between the control subgroups and the COPD, the CRF and the CCD subgroups of patients. For the skinfold thicknesses (TSF and SSF), significant differences were found between CRF, CCD subgroups and the control subgroups under fifty years of age; however, the differences were not significant when the subgroups over fifty were analyzed. Concerning the MAMC, significant differences were found: 1 degree) between the CRF subgroups (males and females) and the control subgroups under fifty years of age; 2 degrees) between the CCD male subgroups (younger and older subgroups) and the respective control subgroups and 3 degrees) between the COPD and the control subgroups.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)

This article aims to present a list of the main influences experimented by architects and urbanists to formulate an urban thought of Sao Paulo City. This way, it will be discussed the main issues raised between the first decades of the XX Century until the 1950s, trying to foresee how the engineers and architects worked to incorporate the urbanistic proposals from Europe and the United States. On the first three sections of this article, it will be presented the concepts that effectively impacted the paulista urban thought of the first half of the XX Century: Sanitarism, the pendulum design: between the Mesologic Theory and the Microbian Theory; Camillo Sitte's historicist formulation; Howard Garden Town and the French experience. Our analysis was formulated by having as a reference a broad and systematic literature, documents stored at Arquivo Histórico Municipal de Araraquara (SP), visits to Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da USP Library and to Faculdade de Ciências e Letras da Unesp, Araraquara. The analysis shows that two urbanistic planner streams that happened in São Paulo State were clearly influenced by the conceptions that led the urbanistic debates in the first half of the XX Century. So, these conceptions compose a painting of the urban interventions in São Paulo City.
