There are considerations of that the education of Physics of the way as comes being driven us textbooks and consequently in classroom, is distant and distorted of their real purpose. We notice that the education of this science through the Physical school discipline, has I assume a character of preparation for university entrance exams exercises resolution, exceling for the memorization of formulae and by the mathematical solutions, fact that looks to cause to it is lacking of motivation and to the disinterest of the students regarding his contents. Since we are surrounded by phenomena, events, elements of the nature, new technologies, objects and so many others that can be explained and many times until applied and/or reproduced by means of physical concepts, there is no reason for treat to Physical as somewhat academic and remote of the reality. The little interest of high school students by the discipline of Physics and their poor performance in the learning of his contents has led to the search of new paths, resources and strategies that promote a more meaningful learning. Taking into account these facts, we seek in this course conclusion work, observe, analyze and apply concepts of the Physical one in multiple elements of ours routine, doing use of the interdisciplinary nature as a possible mechanism. The animals exert a fascination on most people. Much of what we see in their way of being and behaving can be explained by the laws of Physics and its models. Their physique, behavior and activities involve diverse movements, communication and sensing as physical limitations varied. Zoologists and physicists build models in an attempt to explain or understand animal behavior using well-established physical principles. The creation of physical models is going to approach a problem, identifies the fundamental information and removing all of the irrelevant details. An example... This research was aimed at analyzing whether there is an association between the positioning of the pupil in the classroom and his academic performance, as well as to diagnose the main factors underlying the association. Thus, this study analyzed 4 Elementary School II institutions of both public and private educational systems, in Botucatu, São Paulo, Brazil during a school year bimester. To register the positions students were seated, 29 similar classes (containing 6 rows x 6 columns) were investigated, each one with around 30 students, which resulted in a sampling of 859 students. For the questionnaire application, which objective was to verify the main reason for students’ seat choice, the same 29 classes were investigated. However, the sampling number was reduced to 692 students. In turn, for the collection of school performance and absence percentage of each student for the bimester in question, teachers’ evaluation books were used. As a result, it was found that the lower the percentage of the student's absences, the greater is their performance at school, and the greater their performance at school is, the closer up front to the board they are seated. Finally, the closer up to the board they are seated, the more their motivation and interest in learning increase. Therefore, there is an association between the position of a student in the classroom and his or her academic performance, where the association is conditioned by the motivation and interest in learning

The search for quality of life (QOL) is now an ideal among thousands of people worldwide and is currently the subject has been studied in different areas of knowledge. Thus, one can perceive it in different dimensions, each with its due importance to people's lives. The verification of quality indexes of work life (QWL) may provide information on factors that directly interfere with the satisfaction and personal motivation and collective, with reflections on the structure and excellent service. To this end, we carried out a study to know the characacteristics of quality of life of nursing professionals in a state hospital in São Paulo State, based on short range of quality of life of the World Health Organization (WHOQOL-BREF). This work is a study with a quantitative approach, cross-sectional descriptive and exploratory data analysis using descriptive statistics, involving a sample of 281 nurses who answered the scale for measuring quality of life, composed of four areas: physical, psychological, social relationships and environment. In the study, these areas were related to the professional position, and shift work. There was a satisfactory quality of life in the study population in different areas of WHOQOL-BREF. There was no statistically significant changes in quality of life among the variables. It follows that the population presented data consistent with an adequate quality of life, thus making relevant to addressing the quality of life of nursing in a healthcare organization which has as fundamental to the pursuit of quality through the accreditation process second hospital established by the National Accreditation Organization (ONA) that aims at establishing and implementing a process of improving health care, thereby stimulating the services to achieve higher standards of quality

In this article we present and discuss a number of beliefs about listening comprehension among students who were in their last year of a teachers’ certification Letters course in Italian and Portuguese. The data were collected by means of questionnaires answered by all the participating students, logs and interviews conducted with five of the participating students, classroom observation, lessons recorded on audio and video, and diaries. The study is supported by a rationale on beliefs and on definitions of listening comprehension as a skill. The analysis indicate that a number of students showed lack of motivation and low expectations about developing oral comprehension skills due to several drawbacks in foreign language learning during their teacher education course. However, other beliefs that emerged from the data, such as the importance of visual aids to help understanding an oral text, seem to have a positive effect towards a satisfactory proficiency level in oral comprehension.
