Intelectuais, literatura e imprensa no pós-golpe

Culture and the arts in Brazil were impacted directly by the military coup from 1964 onwards. In spite of repression and censorship, the activity of intellectuals and artists in the pre-1964 period was not interrupted nor became stagnant, but gained even greater force due to the presence of control and restrictions by the institutions of repression over against the freedom of creation and thought. As in many sectors of cultural production, literature played a vigorously combative role against the arbitrariness of the regime and implemented “projects of resistance” on the basis of key elements of representation. This occurred, for instance, through the writing and circulation of works such as Pessach: a travessia, by journalist Carlos Heitor Cony, and Quarup, by journalist Antonio Callado. The two novels enabled a broad debate on the narrative form and the scope of involvement in the literature of the 1960s, such as the confrontation between Paulo Francis and Ferreira Gullar in the pages of Revista Civilização Brasileira, which is the focus of this article.

A representação da natureza no romance francês do século XIX

Busca-se determinar as características da representação da natureza no romance francês do século XIX, analisando-se Paul et Virginie de Bernardin de Saint-Pierre, Les travailleurs de la mer de Victor Hugo e L’Ève future de Villiers de l’Isle-Adam, por meio da teoria sócio-crítica e do embate com o texto. Na primeira parte, faz-se um retrospecto da representação nas artes e na literatura, destacando-se as concepções de Aristóteles e as do Romantismo. Apresenta-se também um panorama das concepções da natureza no tempo e no espaço e reflete-se sobre as relações do homem com o mundo natural, bem como sobre as teorias a elas referentes no âmbito da história, da pintura e da literatura. Na segunda parte, analisam-se os três romances escolhidos, buscando-se neles os modos e os sentidos da representação literária da natureza. Conclui-se pela existência, nas três obras estudadas, de uma atitude ambígua do homem diante da natureza, que havia sido anteriormente detectada na história. Embora diferenciadas entre si, sob alguns aspectos, as representações da natureza no corpus estudado demonstram o registro, no universo literário, de marcas do contexto histórico, político e social em que os três romances foram escritos, publicados e usufruidos.

Preposições em textos do gênero notícia na imprensa paulista: norma e uso no ínicio do século XX

This paper proposes a reflection on processes of variation and change that occurred with the portuguese prepositions a, ate, em and para, taken as a parameter for answers in a broader context, the confrontation between the norm and use and between standard and linguistic variation. We conducted the study based on a corpus composed of all occurrences of the prepositions in question removed news of the newspaper O Combate and O Estado de Sao Paulo. Whereas the main objective of the study is to present and describe the use of these particles in newspaper articles of the Imprensa Paulista, data were collected and quantified by using the statistical package GOLDVARB, and interpretation of results relied (i) assumptions regarding the process variation in the use of prepositions and prepositions replace weak, as the preposition to, for strong prepositions (para, em, até), (ii) in comparison with the grammatical rule in effect at the time, (iii) and in the search for the existence of some historical factor that justifies the selection of a preposition rather than another. Among the hypotheses, we investigate the relationship between these prepositions and whose kind of preachers they introduce supplements: the direction of motion (abstract or concrete) or transfer (material and verbal / perceptual). This theoretical perspective was the Labovian sociolinguistics (Labov, 1972, 1994), which defines the linguistic variable as a representation of two or more different ways to convey a certain information content, being necessary to define it the following criteria set exact number of variants to establish all the multiplicity of contexts in which it appears; develop a quantitative index for measuring the values of variables

Cultura, educação e subjetividade: um estudo sobre o ENEM - Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio

This research attempts to analyze the relationship between the National Secondary Education Examination and the design of teaching, specifically in the way of defining what should be taught, in the present National Curriculum identifying clues that help us in the explanation of a conception of teaching and making the confrontation between the evaluation device in this ENEM. We intend to identify, even if there is consistency between what is taught and what is learned in schools, whether it public or private, and it evaluates the evidence as ENEM. This work is part of the Bachelor's Degree in Education Full theme is a critical analysis of the evaluation system ENEM regarding their school pedagogical practices. The overall goal is to bring to light the evaluative perspective envisaged in secondary education as a training practice, regarding the evaluation method levied by the National Examination of Secondary Education, seeking to raise the following reflection: The evaluation addressed in high school according to the National Curriculum meets view of the National Middle School? To answer this question, the work specified in a field research through analysis of evidence applied to the Portuguese Language School students in two schools, one in public and one private school, both in the city of Rio Claro, São Paulo, the analysis on the Matrix Reference ENEM in order to show whether the school pedagogical practice meets the demand of this evaluation system. The projects of the company Vale SA territorialization triggers a series of territorial determinations on local populations. This process denotes a situation of sociospatial conflicts between the affected people and the company, which occur in the material and symbolical scope. In the expansion of these conflicts is established the International Articulation of those Affected by Vale and the “Movimento de Soberania Popular Frente a Mineração” (MAM) which aims to promote communication and unification of the struggles between different social movements and populations on confrontation with the company. This project aims to examine how these conflicts are established in projects relating to mining operations in Brazil. The development starts from a mapping of the investments in the sector, identifying the major determinations territorial, the forms of organization of resistance, identifying who are the groups in conflict

Les statalismes - particularismes lexicaux du français de la Suisse dans la traduction assermentée

This theoretical/applied study contemplates (socio)linguistic, (socio)terminological studies of the lexicon and specialized translation. It is aimed at analyzing a text corpus undergoing official translations from French into Portuguese and from Portuguese into French and a text corpus originally written in Swiss French. The objective is observing the similarities and differences between the first and second terminological group. Problems arise from the comparison of this material: would lexical particularities of Swiss French be a relevant difficulty for the Brazilian translator, whose training privileges the French spoken in France? Does the methodology favor cognate terms and those with a statelism status (institutional romandism)

Os ídolos nas revistas teen: uma análise de Atrevida, Capricho e Todateen

This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the cover stories of magazines Atrevida, published by Escala, Capricho, published by Abril, and Todateen, published by AltoAstral, published between 2008 and 2012, which give prominence to the phenomena with more recurring presence on the covers. The objective of the research is to analyze the criteria for newsworthiness adopted by publications targeting a teenage audience, relating them to cover highlights involving idols of that audience. As object, we study the press coverage given to four magazines phenomena of cultural industry: the actors in the Twilight saga, the actors of the Disney Channel series, singer Justin Bieber and actors of Brazilian soap opera Rebelde. The work begins with a history of magazine journalism, from its origin to the journalism geared toward teenage readers, through the history of women's magazines and variety. Then, we present the theoretical concepts from the Theory News (Traquina) in confrontation with the notions of consumption (Canclini) and behavior (Featherstone). Finally, analysis of the corpus, which was defined by a cutout thematic within this period, divided into two major groups of news reports: those in which the idol is the news, and those in which he serves as a guide for the reader

In the context of the confrontation between the several existing possibilities of comprehension of the term “innovation” in the Linguistic fields, the main goal of this paper is to explore the comprehension of this term considering the adoption of new methodologies, based on the analysis of a specific case, of the Research Group Phonology of Portuguese: Archaic and Brazilian periods, which investigates the phonology of a past period of the language from which there are no more alive native speakers.

Análise do tema bullying em revistas femininas para adolescentes

Practices of violence such as physical and verbal aggression, provocations, humiliations and exclusion that occur mainly among young people in schools are named as bullying and the aim of this qualitative-descriptive study was to investigate how this phenomenon is represented by magazines directed to teenage girls. The analysis was conducted in fifteen articles of four Brazilian magazines: Capricho, Todateen, Atrevida and Yes Teen through thematic categories: 1) Definitions and explanations about bullying; 2) Magazines’ proposals to the confrontation against bullying (2.1 Campaigns and orientations against bullying; 2.2 Advices about how to act in the presence of bullying; 2.3 Examples of “overcoming” to people who suffered bullying and 2.4 Advices given to people who practice bullying). It was identified the presence of hierarchies, stereotypes and the incentive to competition. There is the predominance of normative and excluding patterns, advices that individualize the issue and lack of critical reflection.
