MÉTODOS DA ELETRORESISTIVIDADE E DA POLARIZAÇÃO INDUZIDA APLICADOS NO ESTUDO DO ATERRO

Investigações geofísicas, pelos métodos geoelétricos de eletrorresistividade e polarização induzida (IP), através das técnicas de sondagem elétrica vertical e caminhamento elétrico (configurações Schlumberger e dipolo-dipolo), foram executadas na área do aterro controlado da cidade de Piracicaba (SP), com o objetivo de avaliar as potencialidades da integração dos métodos na caracterização geoelétrica da área. A área sobre a qual está assentado o aterro de Piracicaba é constituída por sedimentos da Formação Corumbataí (sedimentos argilosos e/ou silto-argilosos, com intercalações de arenitos). A interpretação conjunta da resistividade e da polarizabilidade permitiu mapear zonas de percolação de chorume e identificar os diferentes litotipos das formação, identificando materiais arenosos e siltosos. Ficou evidente que a polarizabilidade é sensível à presença de resíduos urbanos e que o efeito de IP é relacionado a materiais polarizáveis dispostos na cava, como latas, papéis, restos eletrônicos e materiais de empréstimo utilizados para a cobertura dos resíduos. Além disso, o método de IP pode ser mais indicado para o mapeamento de zonas de resíduos onde não exista contraste de resistividade entre o meio natural e os resíduos. Diagnóstico ambiental no período frio e seco do Córrego Bandeirantes, município de Rio Claro, SP: parâmetros físicos, químicos e físico-químicos

The present study was concerned with checking the water quality, the recovery of the riparian vegetation and vegetation around the springhead of stream Bandeirantes, such as the inadequate disposal of waste along this stream, which is located in Rio Claro, SP, in the period from March to July of 2010. Aiming to propose mitigation measures to reverse the degradation processes and develop activities to help a better awareness of the population directly related to this water resource. The water quality was analyzed by performing monthly sampling in three different points along the stream. The first point of sampling is in the spring of the stream, the second at the region called estradão and the third near its mouth, when it flows into the Ribeirão Claro, a tributary of the right bank of the Corumbataí river. It was calculated from the Water Quality Index (WQI) developed by Cetesb. The results were compared with current law. The riparian vegetation, which is responsible for the protection of rivers and streams, was observed and examined during the field work. The results indicated the stream as class 2 and the WQI has been classified, in the most of the analysis, such as a water of good quality. However, some parameters showed a worrying situation and highlighted the current situation, with waste deposits, furniture and animal waste into the pit of the stream studied

Entre vanguarda e a participação: a democracia no programa político da esquerda brasileira (1930-1935)

This paper examines the conceptions of democracy in the Brazilian left among 1930-1935, in particular those expressed in the manifestos of the National Liberative Alliance (ANL) and the texts written by Luis Carlos Prestes, Virgínio Santa Rosa and Caio Prado Jr. I argue that the Brazilian left started from a common troubled field, according to which land concentration represented the biggest obstacle to genuine political expression of the Brazilian people. Despite the convergence towards land reform, designed as a sine qua non condition to democracy in Brazil, the left has developed two different answers to the practical implementation of the principle of the people's government: the first, which I call altruist vanguard, which is more emphasized on texts of Virgínio Santa Rosa and Luís Carlos Prestes, and the second, the Republican participacionismo, which is explored on the writings of Caio Prado Jr. and ambiguously in the manifests of the National Liberative Alliance.
