Ensino de gestão da capacidade e da empresa com o apoio do jogo Mercado Virtual no curso de Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia Industrial e Gestão da UMINHO/Azurém e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Produção da FEB/Bauru/UNESP

O jogo de empresas Mercado Virtual foi desenvolvido para mediar o processo ensino-aprendizagem na área de tomada decisão e gestão de empresas e tem um banco de dados que armazena as decisões dos alunos. Os dados nele armazenados foram analisados em relação ao balanceamento de capacidade, objetivo de lucro e uso de recursos financeiros da empresa e foram encontradas incoerências entre os conteúdos pertinentes ao modelo e as decisões dos alunos. Elas foram classificadas como lacunas de aprendizado. Com o objetivo de analisar se as mesmas se repetem entre alunos do Programa de Mestrado Engenharia de Produção da UNESP de Bauru e Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia Industrial e Gestão da Uminho de Guimarães, Portugal, foram realizados dois experimentos, um em cada grupo. Para realizá-los utilizou-se o jogo Mercado Virtual e uma planilha de dimensionamento da empresa nos dois locais. A Sala de Estudos, os indicadores e o questionário de pesquisa da opinião foram utilizados somente em Portugal. Os resultados mostraram que o jogo é capaz de evidenciar as diferenças de domínio de conteúdo nos dois grupos e, também, que estas diferenças estão associadas aos projetos dos cursos. Sendo uma pesquisa exploratória, os experimentos foram realizados considerando-se somente os controles do jogo. Por isso, propõe-se a realização de pesquisas adicionais combinando controle sobre algumas das variáveis relacionadas do uso do jogo e atuação sobre aprendizagem dos alunos na forma de entrevistas e pesquisas não estruturadas. Conforme previsto, a pesquisa mostrou que os jogos podem ser utilizados com objetivos de aprendizagem mais amplos, considerando-se a avaliação indireta e cruzada sobre as decisões tomadas pelos alunos, como é o caso dos indicadores. Análise do apoio dos sistemas de informação para as práticas de gestão ambiental em empresas com ISO 14001 - estudo de múltiplos casos

The purpose of this article is to identify the contributions of Information Systems (IS) for environmental management practices, as well as the opportunities and challenges in this relation. Thus, we performed two case studies with Brazilian enterprises certified ISO 14001, by conducting interviews, document analysis and direct observation. As results, we present the identification of the main contributions of information systems for environmental management practices in the studied cases, the verification that a more advanced stage regarding IS is a factor that implies a more effective contribution, besides finding challenges and opportunities in this relation. The main contribution of this research consists of the presentation of a framework that identifies the support of information systems for environmental practices.

Gestão e avaliação educacional na escola de educação básica

This research has been conducted with the objective of identifying the similarities and the differences between the school management system proposed by the government and the school management system applied on a daily basis by the school management team. This management team is composed by the school principal, the coordinator teacher, and the educational supervisor of a school in the inner state of Sao Paulo. Data is being collected researching the references already existed about the school management system, documents and files of the school, and by an interview with the management team. It is expected that this research will identify the close and the distant aspects between the evaluation of the management team about itself and the evaluation conducted by the school in the process of educational evaluations. The data obtained through this research job is being analyzed considering its quality aspects.

Processos de gestão da informação: tratamento, recuperação e uso da informação no mercado de capitais

In the capital market the information are used as subsidies for the decision making of investors, among the main highlights are the economic, political, accounting and relating nature to the financial results of companies which have stocks traded at Stock Exchanges. In this perspective, it is essential that the agents involved especially brokerage companies establish management processes that contain a set of criteria for the organization and treatment of information collected in newspapers, news agencies and the companies that trade in stocks. Thus, it is essential to establish rigor in relation to recovery mechanisms of such information, which requires more than technology, because actions are necessary that will propitiate the informational content are made available with consistency, clarity and trustworthiness, so as that users can retrieve them in a timely manner. Furthermore, those processes should provide the efficient use of the information retrieved by users, so that they can use them aiming to subsidize the decisions of sale or purchase shares. Considering that the information systems are responsible for the information dissemination in the framework of capital market, it is necessary to present requisites that contemplate the set organization, treatment, retrieval and use of information. That way, we sought to evidence in this paper these issues, utilizing as a premise the elements proposed by Guimarães (2003) from the perspective of the information environment of a values brokerage companies reflecting through the model used, how these companies realize their work considering the dimensions of the documentary analysis, informational treatment, and the instruments for retrieval and use of information.

Benefícios dos relatórios de sustentabilidade na competitividade e melhoria da gestão empresarial: estudo de caso do setor automotivo

The increase of the world population and their consumption power requires companies to increase their production capacity to meet demand. This production process is often performed without control and degrades the environment. In view of the stiffness of the legal requirements and the increasing of environmental concerns, companies need to act in a sustainable way to continue existing. The main objective of this study is to investigate how sustainability reports that follow the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) can bring benefits to companies in the continuous improvement of its processes and the competitiveness of the sector. The sector chosen for the study was the automotive industry, due to its importance in the national economy and the significant impacts caused to the population and to the environment. The methodology consists of reading the GRI sustainability reports of companies and then performing a comparison among them and the bibliography of the subject. The results confirm the importance of the GRI sustainability reporting for companies and show how the selected indicators can contribute to the corporate management and to the control of its processes

Estudo da vazão específica nas bacias hidrográficas dos rios Aguapeí e Peixe como subsídio à gestão dos recursos hídricos

A área de estudo deste trabalho engloba as bacias hidrográficas dos rios Aguapeí e Peixe, localizadas a Oeste do Estado de São Paulo. Estas por sua vez estão vinculadas aos Comitês de Bacias Hidrográficas Aguapeí e Peixe (CBH-AP). Diante da iminência da implementação da política de cobrança pelo uso dos recursos hídricos nessa área, o presente trabalho apresenta em linhas gerais o estudo da vazão específica de forma que os resultados possam contribuir com os órgãos públicos de gestão a fim de que se execute uma gestão mais efetiva dos recursos hídricos. Com base em dados hidrológicos das estações fluviométricas inventariadas através do Sistema Integrado de Gestão de Recursos Hídricos do Estado de São Paulo (SIGRH) e da Agência Nacional de Águas (ANA) nas duas bacias hidrográficas, procedeu-se o estudo da vazão específica. Os resultados desses estudos apontam para uma maior variabilidade da vazão específica média na bacia hidrográfica do rio do Peixe, uma vez que ao longo da série histórica essa bacia apresenta maiores valores de vazão, foi possível também observar as mudanças no comportamento da vazão hidrológica nas duas bacias hidrográficas, ou seja, através dos três períodos hidrológicos identificados foi possível depreender que a vazão específica média em um período se mostra bem distribuída em ambas as bacias hidrográficas, em outro período hidrológico essa distribuição já se apresenta mais desigual. Tais informações possibilitam aos órgãos de gestão um planejamento mais refinado e eficiente

Sistema de gestão ambiental: subsídios para a implantação em uma estação de tratamento de esgoto a partir da análise crítica de estudos ambientais prévios

The process of environmental impact assessment (EIA), in the extent of previous environmental studies, has as one of its functions to provide subsidies to the actions of environmental managment of enterprises. However, the proper estructuring of programs that allows to support this managment does not often occurs. This research sought as one of its objectives to evaluate in which extent the process of EIA can be a subsidie for the EMS, providing basic elements of this system. In addition, more specifically, the research had as one of its objetives the development of subsidies for the implantation of an Environmental Managment System (EMS), based on the model of ISO 14001 (2004), for a sewage treatment plant yet to be constructed in the city of President Venceslau / SP. In order to achieve theses objetives, a discussion was held based on the evaluation of environmental studies available in the library of Cetesb / SMA. Still, for the elaboration of subsidies for the EMS of the treatment plant, the research was focused on the structuring of environmental management program, based on the information contained in its Preliminary Environmental Report (PER). The research had as one of its products, the development of subsidies for the planning and control of the environmental aspects and impacts and for the environmental program of the enterprise, based on the use of environmental indicators. It was concluded, based on the results that, in general, the previous environmental studies analyzed showed little emphasis on the phase of development of structured environmental programs that offer guidelines to achieve the desired results for the environmental performance of the company.
