Ensino de língua inglesa: estilos discursivos e estruturas de participação na construção de uma prática renovada

Este trabalho apresenta os estilos discursivos e as estruturas de participação presentes na construção da interação de sala de aula por professor de inglês envolvido em processo de renovação pedagógica.

Ensino de língua: pressupostos para a consideração de gêneros orais

Neste artigo, discutiremos alguns pressupostos lingüísticos essenciais para a consideração dos gêneros orais como conteúdos a serem trabalhados nas aulas de língua portuguesa. Nosso intuito é enfatizar que para a efetivação de uma proposta de produção e análise de textos orais, sob o prisma da perspectiva sócio-interacionista da linguagem, é necessário que o professor compreenda, mesmo que superficialmente, as bases teóricas em que se ancoram suas práticas de sala de aula.

Este artigo pretende discutir como se articulam, na estrutura híbrida do romance Como agua para chocolate, alguns gêneros textuais discursivos comumente dedicados à leitura de mulheres – folhetim, almanaque, caderno de receitas e diário íntimo –, cuja presença fica sugerida desde o subtítulo “novela de entregas mensuales, con recetas, amores y remedios caseros”. Esses gêneros se misturam na construção da narrativa, possibilitando, no âmbito da pós-modernidade, uma leitura crítica do papel da mulher na sociedade patriarcal da primeira metade do século XX.

Apreciação de gêneros musicais na escola: possíveis percursos

Paulo Roberto Prado Constantino dirige-se, neste livro, aos educadores que atuam especificamente no ensino médio, apresentando algumas propostas para o desenvolvimento da capacidade de apreciação e de compreensão musical entre os alunos. De acordo com o autor, a obrigatoriedade do ensino de Música nas escolas de educação básica, prevista em lei federal aprovada em 2008, trouxe uma série de problemas para os professores da disciplina, que se viram às voltas com a falta de recursos materiais e de ferramentas metodológicas de apoio à prática docente. Baseado em pesquisa de campo, Constantino parte da constatação de que se tornou impossível para os professores de Música desempenhar seu papel sem levar em conta a enorme exposição dos jovens aos gêneros musicais de massa e às novas mídias. E conclui que, se podem ser considerados vulgares do ponto de vista do conceito clássico de qualidade musical, tais gêneros também podem, se bem trabalhados em sala de aula, transportar os alunos para um universo musicalmente mais rico. O autor propõe um processo de ensino baseado no estudo e nas comparações entre os gêneros musicais, sem delimitações de fronteiras étnicas ou culturais ou entre o erudito e o popular, o elitizado e o massificado. Dessa forma, ele acredita, os alunos podem apreender todas as manifestações musicais como significativas e seguir adiante no aprendizado com maior compreensão do que seria o fenômeno musical, já que se evita deslegitimar a música do outro, por meio da imposição de uma visão única.

Os processos de apropriação de gêneros acadêmicos (escritos) por graduandos em letras e as possíveis implicações para a formação de professores/pesquisadores

Considering the relevance attributed to the research practice during and after the undergraduate studies and the constant difficulty found by beginner researchers in this production, this article aims to analyze undergraduate students'experiences of reading and production of texts. For this purpose we applied a questionnaire to undergraduate students in the Linguistic Course of a public university from the southeast of Brazil, in order to observe, through a qualitative analysis, how these experiences contribute to the inclusion of students into the academic community and to their development as teachers/researchers. The research uses, as theoretical embasement, the literacies and textual genres concepts.

Marcadores discursivos: uma proposta lexicográfica

Spanish is a language that in recent years has been growing in importance both politically and socially and economically, since some of the major international markets such as Chile, Spain, Mexico and Argentina, among many, have this language as the official language. This fact motivated us to conduct research that could, in some way, contribute to the teaching of this language in Brazil. Thus under the aegis of the theories and practices of bilingual lexicography, we seek to describe and analyze the treatment that some Spanish - Portuguese bilingual dictionaries present in our market give to the sentence connectors. From a textual corpus selected the markers and observe how the dictionaries analyzed work with this type of unit. We found that the information contained in these lexicographical works is not sufficient to meet the needs of Brazilian learners. Then, we proposed a macrostructure of a passive bilingual dictionary of sentence connectors in the language pair Spanish - Portuguese. Our research aims to contribute to bilingual lexicography both in regard to theoretical and methodological reflections on the application of these theories. Gêneros do discurso, ciência e mídia: a divulgação científica em questão

This work’s main purpose is to research how the scientific speech is outlined on the Revista Língua Portuguesa in statements made by linguists. Statements issued in the previously mentioned magazine have been analyzed. In order to achieve the proposal, the research was based on the following questions: how both the scientific and the scientific divulgation speeches are formed in the magazine, and whether the opinion texts written by scholars and researchers in the linguistic field identify themselves with opinion articles, scientific articles or scientific divulgation texts. Those questions were discussed from the theoretical-methodological bakhtinian perspective, taking the notion of dialogism, the human activity sphere, genres of discourse and style as conceptual elements. It has been detected that there is a complexity in the construction of the genres in the magazine, always taking into account the journalistic and scientific spheres of circulation. The analyzed statements presented themselves as a confluence of many genres’ characteristics, showing a point of view, a scientific subject, a researcher-author and a language adjustment to the magazine reader, making it more accessible. The analysis showed that the discussed statements resemble opinion articles, scientific articles, and reviews, besides being scientific divulgation at the same time

O discurso publicitário em foco: questões sobre dialogismo e gênero do dicurso

The subject of this research is the publicity discourse, in its configuration as speech genres, according to theoretical-methodological perspective in Bakhtinian Studies. Considering that there are infinite fields of human communication, Bakhtin says that there is also infinity of speech genres. However, according to the author, every sphere of human activity produces, and even requires, certain genres, with theirs thematic, compositional and stylistics aspects defined according to social-ideological values that materialize in that sphere and in the dialogue in which the texts are produced. The objective of this research is to study, according to this theoretical-methodological perspective, a print advertising piece by the Brazilian Federal Government, conveyed in the Língua Portuguesa magazine, with themes concerning the national public education. We analyze how the image of author is built and how the image of the Other is outlined by that author. It is assumed that the gender to which an advertising piece belongs intends to sell a product or idea. One of the specific objectives of this research is to identify what is being sold in the advertising piece that we analyze and what discursive and stylistic resources are utilized to achieve success in what it intends to promote. The results show that the author (in the voice of the Federal Government), while adopting the position of information-holder, also puts himself in the same plane of the reader, where everyone is responsible for the development of education in the country. The advertising piece intends to project a positive image of the Government, and this project of saying is realized, in the analysis, in the compositional aspects of the text as well in the stylistic aspects
