Variação da temperatura superficial dos músculos masseter e temporal anterior durante o apertamento dental voluntário com placas interoclusais maxilares de duas diferentes espessuras

Muscle activity has been studied indirectly through analyses of temperature variation in skin surface temperature on the masticatory muscles. These procedure may be an important tool for clinical evaluation and assessment of the evolution of temporomandibular disorders, as well as monitoring the adopted protocol. Thus, its utilization for identified pathological alterations on blood circulation and/or on metabolic activity in subcutaneous tissues, such as the masticatory muscles, is justified. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of occlusal splints’ thickness on the variation of surface temperature of the anterior temporal and masseter muscles during rest and clenching. It were analyzed 20 symptomatic subjects (10 males and 10 females) selected through the Research Diagnostic Criteria (RDC) questionnaire. Temperature expressed in degrees Celsius (ºC) was measured on the surface of both muscles measured with the aid of a digital thermometer with an infrared radiation reading system. The surface temperature of the anterior temporal and masseter muscles presented significant reduction during teeth clenching in relation to the mandibular rest position. However, there were no significant differences between conditions with and without occlusal splint or between the different thicknesses of splints analyzed. Masticatory muscles showed a considerable similar behavior for both sides, and no significant distinctions were observed between male and female patients.

O papel do estágio supervisionado na formação inicial de professores: investigando perspectivas de alunos de um curso de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo identificar e analisar concepções sobre o papel do estágio supervisionado de um grupo de alunos de um curso de Ciências Biológicas. Participaram 48 alunos de um curso de licenciatura que responderam a um questionário com questões abertas. Foram identificados 4 agrupamentos das ideias dos alunos sobre o papel do estágio supervisionado: "Treinamento profissional" que reuniu 15 alunos participantes, "Aprendizado com a prática" e "Interação com a realidade escolar", que reuniram, cada um, 12 alunos participantes e "Desenvolvimento de habilidades pessoais", que reuniu 6 alunos. Observamos que houve um predomínio de uma concepção técnico-instrumental do estágio supervisionado.

A resolução de problemas no contexto do estágio curricular supervisionado: dificuldades e limites de licenciandos em matemática

The aim was to investigate the difficulties and limits of four future mathematics teachers to conduct classes in regencies approach of problem solving. Based on participation in a course this approach, undergraduates elaborated three didactic sequences, which were taught by the activity of conducting classroom discipline Supervised Curricular Training. After this work, participated in an individual interview to report what had developed in classroom. The results showed difficulties in the following aspects: in the elaboration of didactic sequences; in providing an environment for discussion of resolution strategies students. Furthermore, the data analysis showed limits related: the lack of space at the school teacher to allow implementation of lessons developed; lack of basic mathematical knowledge of the students.

Prática como componente Curricular e estágio supervisionado na formação de professores de Educação Física

This study aims to investigate the main issues presented in the literature relating to teacher training during the period 2005/2014. Particular attention is paid to articles that address the Supervised Training and Practice as a Curriculum Component. For the analysis of the articles from the literature, the technique of Content Analysis was used. The results showed that the potential which is attributed to these curricular components depends on the ability to put the trainee teacher in touch with the experience of being a teacher, whilst enabling the approach of the training content to be consistent with professional practice. The technical and fragmented curriculum for training and the extensive content in the disciplines, limited by outmoded practices, is presented as a barrier against this occurring. This shows a discrepancy in the proposed training between the pedagogical design of the course and, what is actually designed as concrete action in its development.
