This experiment aim was to evaluate the contamination of the trace elements (TE) arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, copper, mercury, molybdenum, nickel, lead, selenium, and zinc considered in the CONAMA resolution 375 after 13 years long using sewage sludge (SS) as fertilizer in two soils: an Eutroferric Clayed Red Latosol (Rhodic Eutrudox - RE) and a Dystrophic Red Latosol (Typic Haplorthox - TH). Experiment in the field under maize cultivation had four treatments (0, 5, 10, and 20 t of SS ha(-1), dry weight), five replications and an experimental design in randomized blocks. The agrochemicals (dolomitic limestone, single superphosphate, and potassium chloride), SS, soils, and the certified reference materials were digested according to the USEPA 3051A method and the chemical elements were quantified by ICP OES. The TE contents found in the agrochemicals used should not cause immediate environmental impact. The higher TE values were found in the RE and they did not reach the agricultural (more stringent) Investigation Level (IL) yet, according to 420 CONAMA resolution. Persisting the actual SS fertilization amount applied in the soil and the TE concentration in the SS is foreseen that Ba, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, and Zn will be the first elements to reach the IL in the RE.

When a bolted joint is loaded in tension with dynamically, part of this load is absorbed by the bolt and rest is absorbed by the joint material. What determines the portion that is to absorbed by the bolt is the joint stiffness factor. This factor influences the tension which corresponds to pre-load and the safety factor for fatigue failure, thus being an important factor in the design of bolted joints. In this work, three methods of calculating the stiffness factor are compared through a spreadsheet in Excel software. The ratio of initial pre-load and the safety factor for fatigue failure depending on the stiffness factor graph is generated. The calculations for each method show results with a small difference. It is therefore recommended that each project case is analyzed, and depending on its conditions and the range of stiffness values, the more or less rigid method about the safety factor for fatigue failure is chosen. In general, the approximation method provides consistent results and can be easily calculated

In the competitive judo, the form as a trainer organizes the process of his/her athlete's training is a very important task for a good acting and a better use of the technical procedures. There is great importance in determining the exercise intensity for the judocas training due to the interest for the high income in several competitions, and few studies returned for this research area, involving those athletes' different physiologic conditions. Therefore, it is necessary to improve protocols of physical evaluation for this modality, increasing his/her applicability. The present study aimed at to verify the validity of a protocol of specific aerobic test of the judo (technique ipon-seoi-nague), no exhausting, adapted of the method of CHASSAIN (1986), using deltas of variations of the lactacidemia and of the Scale of Perception of Effort of Borg, in athletes well. The test adapted to the judo constituted of four exercise series with two efforts similar (double) of 180 seconds with one interval of 90 seconds among them. The series of exercises were accomplished in consecutive days. The intensities of the double tests were of 85%, 95%, 105% and 115% of the minimum lactato for each participant. This work used the technique ipon-seoi-nague, obeying the reasons effort-pause individualized for each athlete, that you/they correspond to the intensities of exercises proposed by the protocol of CHASSAIN (1986). In that way, the athletes applied a blow (maximum speed) and they rested some seconds, depending on the regime effort-pause of the session. At the end of each collection collection of blood (25NL) of each participant's earlobe was accomplished, seeking to measure the concentration of sanguine lactato. Dezesseis atletas treinados em musculação (grupo AN = 7) ou em corridas de longa distância (AE = 9) foram submetidos a exercícios de máxima intensidade específicos e inespecíficos a sua modalidade de treinamento. A influência da especificidade do treinamento sobre as alterações promovidas por sessões agudas de exercício exaustivo nos parâmetros hemodinâmicos, de dano muscular e de estresse oxidativo foi analisada, e foram comparados os padrões de resposta aos exercícios entre os dois grupos. Os testes máximos consistiram de teste exaustivo em esteira, utilizando protocolo de rampa, e teste com pesos utilizando cargas iniciais de 80% de 1RM, progressivamente reduzidas, até a exaustão, em dois exercícios que abrangeram grupos musculares distintos. Foram realizadas coletas de sangue antes e imediatamente após os exercícios para a determinação de indicadores de hemoconcentração, de lesão muscular, de processo inflamatório e determinação de parâmetros hemogasimétricos. A glicemia se elevou significativamente após os testes somente para o grupo AE. Foram verificados aumentos significativos na acidose devidos a elevação das concentrações de lactato, H+ combinados a redução do HCO3-. Foram observadas variações significativas nas concentrações dos íons sódio e potássio. Também houveram aumentos significativos nas concentrações de CPK e DHL. Além disso, houveram elevações das concentrações plasmáticas e dos leucócitos. Dentro dos parâmetros analisados, as respostas observadas não foram uniformes em comparação aos dois grupos, e houve variação também interna aos grupos, quando comparados os exercícios específicos aos inespecíficos. Os resultados apontam que embora seja esperada uma resposta metabólica característica após o esforço físico exaustivo, a especificidade do treinamento é determinante sobre os processos adaptativos... This work is the production of two types of particle boards reconstructed MDP (Medium Density Particleboard), the first with the addition, in the inner layer of particles of impregnated paper, the ratios of 0%, 1%, 5% and 20 %. In the second type of panel MDP was inserted with blades of bamboo species Dendrocalumus giganteus as coatings and structural reinforcement. The MDP panel, used as a basis for both cases has the composition of three layers, two external particles with smaller particle size and an inner layer composed of particles of larger particle sizes. Assays were performed based on physical and mechanical NBR 14.810/2006 for the determination of the board density, thickness swelling, water absorption, moisture content, bending, tension parallel and perpendicular, and testing of particle sizes of the particles did not exists in standard references. The results were analyzed and compared the results of the commercial boards made from 100% eucalyptus, based on the limits specified by the ABNT NBR 14.810/2006. The values of the tests showed similar results indicating normative specifications in a positive way, the possibility of production of MDP with the use of waste paper impregnated. As for the panel with bamboo blades, the tests showed a mechanical performance far superior to MDP market, explaining the study and possible implementation of the bamboo for use where the MDP will suffer greater mechanical stress, such as doors, tops and benches tables

Results of apatite fission tracks from twelve samples collected across a Borborema Province transect, northeastern Brazil, revealed two major paleothermal events: a cooling event occurred between Albian and late Cenomanian (110 - 80 Ma) and a second cooling event starting on early Paleocene (66 Ma). Given the wide expression of the studied area (sampling trend along four brazilian states) a correlation between the distribution of fission track data and the current geological / geomorphological scenario was made possible, considering the area’s tectono - stratigraphic past and its thermochronologic evolution until now. The fact that the employed thermochronologic tool relates to a relatively shallow geothermometer, substancially information for understanding the behavior of basement brittle tectonic was achieved. These data were used to analyze faults origin and reactivation, associated with sedimentary basins evolution in the context of South America - Africa continental breakup.

The growth of urban population associated with the shortage of supply of public infrastructure such as hospitals, kindergartens, schools, among others, has reinforced the need to develop alternative methods that simplify the construction processes and allows for a reduction in these costs works. The conventional processes have increasingly been shown ineffective to solve the problem of demand for different types of urban and rural buildings. Given this fact, industrial construction processes can gain space and have proven to be highly interesting to solve the above problems, in particular, considering the cost-effective and time. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the influence of moisture on the strength of metal plate connections connectors (printed plate with teeth). For the sizing of the links between structural lumber using metal connectors with teeth prints; controlled process variables (drying of the wood and the different moisture contents), and finally found results and compare them with different literatures order to obtain a qualitative efficiency of the process. Some specimens had very low expectations, can be explained by the presence of bone marrow, and pre-existing cracks. Thus, the results were discarded for further analysis and more accurate results

Therebar of aluminum 1350 AA produced by CBA are used inthe manufacture of wires and cables for electric power transmission, which marketshows increasingly favorableto aluminum due to itslow densityand high electrical conductivity, but to ensure that this materialmeets all specifications of projectsfor electricity transmission, it must have homogeneity in the chemicaland mechanicalproperties.One of the points of improvement in the process of rod production isreducing the high variation of the limitof tensile strengthalong the coils, therefore, this work seeks a better understanding of the factors that significantly influence the mechanical properties of rebar, specifically assessing the influence oftemperatureat the output of the coils, which can cause a recovery effect on the material andif thereare relevantdifferences between the two modes of rebar production: auto and manual.Samples of six coils have been specifically produced forthis study, which weresubsequently subjected to different annealing temperatures for one hour and ten minutes, similar to what occurs in the output of the coil from the machine. The tensile tests showed that aluminum 1350 AA is significantly influenced by temperature, whose behavior was very similar to that presented in the literature. It was found that the phenomenon of recovery occurred more significantly at high temperatures. Through the optical electron microscope Zeiss, 18 surface maps were made with 100x magnification for each sample in different conditions and the images were analyzed using entropy and fractal dimension, aiming to relate the condition of surface hardening on mechanical property of the samples in that condition. The results showed that these methods can be applied, provided they do not have any kind of imperfection on the surface, once they can influence the results. O presente estudo objetivou verificar a validade de um protocolo de teste aeróbio específico do judô (técnica ipon-seoi-nague), não exaustivo, adaptado do método de CHASSAIN (1986), utilizando deltas de variações da escala de percepção de Borg e da freqüência cardíaca em atletas bem treinados. O teste adaptado ao judô constituiu de quatro séries de exercício com dois esforços iguais (duplos) de 180 segundos com um intervalo de 90 segundos entre eles. As séries de exercícios foram realizadas em dias consecutivos. As intensidades dos testes duplos foram de 85%, 95%,105% e 115% do lactato mínimo para cada participante. Este trabalho utilizou a técnica ipon-seoi-nague, sendo que as razões esforço-pausa foram específicas para cada atleta, e correspondem às intensidades de exercício propostas pelo protocolo de Chassain (1986). A escala de percepção de esforço de Borg foi mostrada ao final do primeiro e do segundo esforços, em cada uma das séries, para que o atleta determinasse o nível de cansaço. Para análise da freqüência cardíaca foi utilizado um freqüencímetro, Polar Vantage NV, obtendo freqüência cardíaca concomitantemente a escala de Borg, ao final de bloco de esforço. Dessa maneira, foram obtidos dois deltas de variações entre o primeiro e o segundo esforços, para escala de percepção de Borg (ΔBORG) e FC (ΔFC). Uma vez que foram utilizadas quatro intensidades, foi possível determinar quatro ΔBORG e quatro ΔFC. Assim, a partir de duas regressões lineares (uma para o Borg e outra para a FC), foi possível determinar as razões esforço:pausas críticas do exercício na técnica específica do Judô, a partir da determinação das intensidades nas quais a variação de Borg e da FC foi igual a zero (ΔBORG=0 e ΔFC=0). Para validar esses procedimentos adaptados de Chassain (1986) ao Judô, foi realizado o teste de Lactato Mínimo Adaptado, conforme sugerido por Azevedo (2002).

The perceived exertion has been used for the intensity control and exercise prescription. Among the various scales that estimate the perceived exertion, the Borg’s RPE scale is one of the best known. However, for populations with low levels of schooling or with visual difficulties such as the elderly, the application of these scales becomes more difficult. In previous studies, a color scale of perceived exertion was developed to aim for assistance in application of the scale and interpretation of perceived exertion. This scale showed high correlation with the Borg’s scale and proved to be valid to estimate the perceived exertion. Thereby, the aim of this study was to assess the validity of the color scale of perceived exertion to measure the perceived exertion in adult women of different ages. Participated in the study 12 young adult women with age of 21,7 ± 1,5 years old, and 10 elderly women with age of 60,3 ± 3,5 years old. The participants were submitted to an incremental exercise of treadmill walking with stages of 2 minutes duration. The inicial load was 5,5 km/h and inclination of 6% for young women and 2% for elderly women, both with 2% increments at each stage completed, without changing the speed. Heart rate and oxygen comsuption responses were determined at the 30 finals seconds of each stage. At the 60 finals seconds of each stage participants indicated the perceived exertion for the overall body, for the legs and for the chest, primarily in the color scale and following in the tradicional Borg’s scale. The analysis of variance for repeated measures was used to assess the effect of different loads on the perceived exertion and physiological responses. This work presents a proposal to replace thetraditional system of traction electric car that usesone electric motor and a mechanical differential, by two electric motors of lower power, controlled byelectronic control low cost. The proposed control isopen loop and uses the technique of Pulse WidthModulation (PWM), discrete and synchronizedaiming to reduce the generation of harmonics. The implementation of two smaller motor one on each wheel-drive distributes the weight of the vehicle, improving the heat exchange of the windings,beyond enable the power components supporting a current of 50% predicted for only one motor . The solution adopted for being open-loop, has a similar behavior to the mechanical differential, where theeffort imposed by the trajectory makes the velocity distribution between the wheels be appropriate tovehicle trajectory

This study was conducted to verify water quality and environmental impacts related to the occupation of the watershed of the Bandeirantes stream, located in Rio Claro, SP. The intention is to propose measures to enable the mitigation of negative impacts, and boosting the recovery and maintenance of the quality of water resources, preventing its complete degradation. Water analysis were performed at three different points, east, crossing the Ring Road (dirt road) and near the confluence with the Ribeirão Claro. The results indicated significant degradation of water, especially after the crossing, where it witnessed the accumulation of solid waste and easy access to the stream, both for animals as for people, due to limited riparian it. Another impact was observed the current construction of the Forum of Rio Claro in the right side of the stream studied, causing change in the landscape, change the flow properties and removal of existing vegetation at the site of work, defined as an environmentally protected area, as determined by existing law. Measures such as: restoration of riparian zones, effluent treatment, planned urban growth and environmental education of the population, would be essential to mitigate the environmental impacts of watershed Bandeirantes stream
