The Geotechnical Mapping is an extreme important tool for the urban planning, so the public authorities can establish guidelines for medium and long term for a better life conditions for the population. The division region between the cities of Americana and Santa Bárbara D’Oeste has an intense conurbation problem, which is causing problems of occupation in risks areas on environmental terms. In this context this project has as an objective the elaboration of a Geotechnical Map from the sub- basins of Sossego and Barracão rivers, whicht are located in between the area of the two cities, and presents some of the process causes of the conurbation problem. For this study, the following steps were proposed: bibliographic and topographic maps research for better knowledge from the theme and the area, and also preparing cartographic basis; making of preliminary geotechnical area map with a 1:10.000 scale, gather all the information acquired at the previous step and compartmentation of the area; field step to collect more information and soil for the laboratory analysis, objecting the characterization of the geotechnical unities; lab analysis; final geotechnical map preparation; and final report elaboration. The final product of this study is the Final Geotechnical Map, with a 1:10.000 scale, and the principal objective is to help the urban planning

Preparação de substratos de carbeto de silício para fins aeroespaciais

This conclusion thesis has the objective of produce substrates of Silicon Carbide from the powder of SiC for aerospace use. The powder of SiC was pressed in cylindrical form by the process called “wet way”. For the inicial pressing process was used a uniaxial squeezer and after that was used a isostatic squeezer, after that the samples were synthesized. The next step was the machining and polishing to improve the features of the surface of the sample. Then the roughness was measured, as also the Arquimedes method and optical microscopy and scanning eletron microscopy. Some innovations were done, in one of the lots little vacancys were done with organic material or silicon to reduce the weight of the sample; and the other innovation were the use of a slip film of SiC on the surface of the sample, that were after synthesized with LASER to reduce the roughness, in this samples the roughness were reduce in 50 % if compared with the other samples

Diagnóstico molecular da alteração mutagênica nt 230 (del4) no gene MDR1 em cães

P-glycoprotein is an adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-driven drug efflux carrier responsible for transport of xenobiotics and multiple classes of drugs, many usually use in veterinary medicine. Encoded by MDR1 gene, also referred to as ABCB1, located on chromosome 14, is expressed in many tissues with secretory or excretory functions, such as liver, kidney and intestine, where it limits drug absorption from the gut and promotes drug excretion into the bile and urine of their substrates. In 2001, a 4 base pair gene deletion mutation in the canine MDR1 gene was identified as MDR1-1▲, ABCB1-1▲, MDR1 MDR1 nt 230 (del4) and associated with an non-functional Pglycoprotein. The clinical correlation is the (hyper) sensitivity of certain dogs breeds, mostly collies, to a few classes of drugs such as anticancer drugs (doxorubicin, vincristine, vinblastine), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), antiparasitic drugs (ivermectin, moxidectin), steroids hormones (aldosterone, cortisol, dexamethasone), antimicrobial agents (tetracycline, doxycycline, levofloxacin, ketoconazole, itraconazole), analgesics (morphine, methadone), antidiarrheals (loperamide), antiepileptic agents (phenothiazine), cardiac drugs (digoxin, diltiazem, verapamil, talinolol) and others. Dogs with homozygous MDR1 nt 230 (del4) MDR1 mutations (MDR1 - / -) have a higher predisposition to intoxication with substrates of P-gp than heterozygous (MDR1 + / -) and these are more likely than dogs homozygous nonmutant (MDR1 +/ +). After the identification of nt230 (del4) mutation, several molecular techniques have been developed for identification of mutant animals as a diagnostic method. The importance of molecular diagnosis is, after the identification of mutant animals, establish treatment protocols safe, exclude this animals from reproduction (genetic selection program) and investigating the history of adverse drugs reactions... Processo de uso e ocupação do Pontal do Paranapanema-SP: perspectiva das unidades de conservação (UCs)

The current concern with environmental issues by the scientific community, governmental and civil society also brings out the need to recover, preserve and conserve the environment. With this understanding, this work was prepared, which had as one of the main objectives of the historical process of land use and occupancy of the Pontal, since the nineteenth century to the present day. From this, the changes were evident in the types of land use, which rose from native forest to plant crops (permanent and temporary crops) and later as pasture. Through this process of occupation, exploitation of forests and replacement even three, Reserves being brought from the Far West Paulista, through the state government of Sao Paulo, they were almost decimated. Such areas decreed by law to be preserved and conserved, with the rampant occupations, were suffocated by the fakes and illegal occupation of land tenure contracts, leaving the region currently only a few forest fragments and protected areas of State Park Morro do Diabo, PRNP Boa Vista and Ecological Station Black Lion Tamarin. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the main legislation being developed by federal and state levels aimed at protecting natural resources and the effectiveness they had with the passage of time, demonstrating that the conservation of the environment, has several contributions in the law, however, and they are so vast that hinder its application.
