Esta obra tem como meta diagnosticar o funcionamento do Programa Saúde na Família, descortinando suas qualidades e seus problemas em um contexto de baixa urbanização e dificuldades estruturais. A escolha do objeto de estudo decorreu da adoção em ampla escala do programa, que hoje se constitui na principal estratégia para a expansão do atendimento à população por meio do Sistema Único de Saúde e está presente em praticamente todos os municípios do Brasil. Foi selecionada para a pesquisa uma pequena cidade do interior de São Paulo, com menos de quatro mil habitantes, distante de centros urbanos desenvolvidos e com baixo índice de riqueza. Com inspiração no trabalho etnográfico, a autora acompanhou de perto, durante uma semana, as atividades de equipes de unidades municipais de saúde e entrevistou seus integrantes. Os dados coletados diretamente no campo de estudo permitiram à autora analisar a realidade do Programa Saúde na Família, por meio dos conceitos de universalidade, integralidade e equidade, que norteiam a construção de serviços públicos de qualidade.

The Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos was created by the Lula administration (2003) as part of Fome Zero (Zero Hungry). This program aims to ensure access to food for people living in food and/or nutritional insecure situation and strengthen family agriculture, by food that is pushased by the government. Considering the importance of this program as a differentiated policy that we abode in the analysis far of its implementation on national scale, as its operationalization in a specific context, with the spatial cutout of the municipality Dracena, located on São Paulo state western portion. It was found that, either in national and municipal levels, the program presented a growth on the number of approved projects, participating producers, benefited institutions and resource values. However, even with such expansion, the scope of this program is still quite limited and at the same time, too concentrated in spatial terms.

The practice of regular physical activity has been widely recommended in the literature, indicating an improvement of the physical and psychological activities promoted through the routine of workers. In this sense, physical activity has become of great importance in the workplace, for the prevention of injuries caused by normalizing bodily functions and staff providing relaxation and socialization, basic elements of daily life a worker. This study aimed to analyze the effects of a active break program in the routine of workers in their mood and stress, even checking the influence of physical activity on quality of life of participants. We selected 15 individuals of both genders, the restaurant staff University, UNESP - Rio Claro-SP. The activities lasted four months, two times a week, at the beginning of the workday, for 15 minutes, followed by stretching and playful activity. The evaluations were answered a week before the execution of the program and lists of mood states have been answered before and after the activity, and the end of working hours and also at the beginning and end of the days when there were no interventions. After analyzing the results, we concluded that the participants have a good index of perception of quality of life with total score of 76.6 for mental and physical health and that all assets are considered in accordance with the recommendations of 150 minutes of physical activity per week. More than 50% of them have symptoms of stress found mostly in the resistance stage, and no changes were found in the mood states when practicing active break or not. We conclude that the changing of moods can be associated with the fact that workers are already active, another reason may be due to low number of participants in the study, given other studies show that there is a change and that active break interferes positively in mood states of individuals
