Aspectos reprodutivos de Harttia carvalhoi Miranda Ribeiro, 1939, um pequeno loricariídeo de riachos do leste da serra da Mantiqueira, SP, Brasil

O objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar os aspectos reprodutivos de Harttia carvalhoi, Miranda Ribeiro, 1939, um pequeno loricariídeo cuja distribuição é restrita a área de drenagem do rio Paraíba do Sul. Um total de 110 exemplares de H. carvalhoi foi obtido. O período reprodutivo acontece desde setembro até fevereiro. O tipo de desova foi identificado como total e a taxa de fecundidade variou de 16 a 106 ovócitos. Este tipo de estudo é importante, visto que fecundidade é uma característica específica e é uma adaptação às condições do ciclo de vida, variando com o crescimento, densidade populacional, alimentos disponíveis e taxa de mortalidade. Também foi enfatizada a importância deste estudo, pois não há estudos prévios sobre a reprodução desta espécie

The climate is one of the main elements of the natural environment that governs the life of man. Specific conditions of temperature, humidity, light, wind and precipitation have direct influence on physiological conditions that man needs to survive and more than that, besides the influence on human and animal physiology, the climatic elements are also responsible for a significant portion of economic activities such as industry, agriculture, commerce, transportation, and others. Therefore, any change in weather patterns has great impact on daily activities, and even more in urban sites, where the most of population is concentrated nowadays. Modelagem e avaliação de um sistema de refrigeração por absorção para residências e instalações de pequeno porte

This work presents a study of the absorption refrigeration system and the modeling and evaluation of two cycles using the binary solutions water-lithium bromide and ammonia-water for an equipment to be used in small size plants like residences. The study and evaluation aims the complete understanding of all parts of the system and the influence of each one of them as well as the spread of the knowledge to raise the use of this type of equipment in all sizes in order to decrease the energetic consumption of plants of all scales and making viable the alternative sources. The study is done in each element of the cycle separately and in some auxiliary equipments required in the operation such as the main power source, the solar collector. The software used for modeling, with emphasis on thermal part, was the EES (Engineering Equation Solver), that permitted the thermal balance calculus and acquisition of the used fluids properties. The results obtained for the equipment shows the system is more complex than the widely used in business, however, it can be viable and represents an alternative to increase the energetic efficiency

Viabilidade de turbinas eólicas de pequeno porte no Brasil

Facing a global scenario where oil is scarce and the emission of CO2 in the atmosphere is a world concern, the search for new methods of energy production becomes the focus of all countries. Based on these assumptions, the wind power gains highlight and happen to be the most exploited around the world, since this does not produce toxic waste, since it uses the wind, no raw material shortage and its cost and efficiency are increasingly attractive. Taking advantage of the geographical features of Brazil, coastal and territorial extension, this study aims to analyze the feasibility of using wind turbines widely used in Germany, one of the countries with the highest production of energy through wind, in Brazil. In order to increase the energy production without causing more environmental impacts, geographical analyses will be made, and to determine the features and costs of production of this type of energy generation, and at the end of this dissertation, will finish for one of the turbines, Montana, is it feasible to install, however due to the Government's little incentive return is not very expressive. With respect to the turbine Passaat, this is infeasible to install under current conditions

Agricultura urbana com enfoque na agrobiodiversidade em uma cidade de pequeno porte do estado de São Paulo

A agricultura em ambientes urbanos (AU) é um fenômeno socioambiental crescente em todo o mundo e pode estar associada à promoção de segurança alimentar e nutricional de uma população. No Brasil, o movimento da revolução verde favoreceu a monocultura e a concentração da posse da terra, que, decorrentemente impulsionaram o êxodo rural, em que os pequenos agricultores, na busca por melhores condições de vida, se locomoveram aos centros urbanos. O município de Santa Gertrudes, localizado no interior do estado de São Paulo, apresenta 98% dos habitantes residindo na zona urbana. O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender a agricultura urbana do Município de Santa Gertrudes, abordando: o perfil dos agricultores, as suas motivações, os seus locais de plantio e suas escolhas de cultivos, enfocando principalmente em lotes vagos na malha urbana. O estudo foi realizado em três etapas a partir de uma abordagem etnobotânica: 1) mapeamento dos lotes cultivados, 2) censo que abordou as questões socioeconômicas e de cultivo e 3) estudo detalhado com uma amostra determinada aleatoriamente, que aborda as condições socioeconômicas dos agricultores, suas histórias de vida, a caracterização do ambiente de plantio e o levantamento das espécies cultivadas, a partir de um inventário, com ênfase em raízes e tubérculos. Para o levantamento dos mesmos utilizou-se de entrevistas estruturadas e semi-estruturadas. As análises dos dados foram realizadas de maneira descritiva. Foram encontrados 52 lotes cultivados, destes, 43 participaram do censo e 20 da amostra. Os agricultores são representados principalmente por homens, a maioria é idosa e migrante de zonas rurais e grande parcela destes é oriunda do estado de Minas Gerais. Influência do enriquecimento ambiental nos padrões comportamentais de Galictis cuja, furão-pequeno, mantidos em cativeiro no zoológico municipal de Piracicaba, SP

Currently zoos and management centers are valuable tools in the maintenance and study of various species. Studies of behavior of captive animals contribute to the improvement of management techniques and the well - being of themselves, encouraging captive breeding and reintroduction also to the natural environment . One of the ways to increase the levels of well-being is the use of environmental enrichment techniques that provide necessary incentives for the welfare of both physical and psychological captive animal . The aim of this study was to identify the types, frequencies and intensities of behavior displayed by three individuals of the species Galictis cuja, belonging to the family Mustelidae and popularly known as lesser grisson , which are captives in municipal zoo in Piracicaba , SP . In addition to evaluating the influence of environmental enrichment techniques on these behavioral parameters. The animals had their behaviors recorded in ethograms through the focal sampling method , 40 hours per person , totaling 120 hours of observation . Were introduced four environmental enrichment techniques related to physical environment, nutrition , perception and cognitive stimulation . At the end, the results of observations before and after the introduction of enrichment techniques were compared and it was possible to observe significant changes in behavior such as run , walk and scratching . The animals were more active and spent longer visible during the day, the enrichment also increased the frequency of social behaviors and the end of the work occurred even attempted copulation , thus showing that the enrichment exerted a positive influence on the behavioral patterns of lesser grisson (Galictis cuja)

The Micro and Small Enterprises are in a special group of companies it given potential for development, employability, and integration into society. Although in Brazil they have high mortality rates, resulted to creation of the Statute of Micro and Small Enterprise in order to encourage it through tax benefits and advantages in public procurement processes. However, the other side of the debate, the public procurement process is the moment when the Public Sector relates to the Private Sector to materialize works, services and shopping. These procurement processes have itself weaknesses, such as excessive bureaucracy, delays and corruption, leading us to inquire: is a good idea promotes the development of micro and small enterprises through weaknesses procurement process? This discussion using theoretical framework, and an analysis of two case studies where the winners of procurement were two enterprises benefited from the Statute of Micro and Small Enterprises

Avaliação de métodos de fixação de fraturas distais de rádio e ulna em cães de pequeno porte: revisão sistemática

As fraturas de rádio e ulna em animais de companhia são ocorrências ortopédicas de grande incidência em Medicina Veterinária. Cães de pequeno porte parecem ter uma maior incidência de fraturas em terço distal do rádio e ulna. A consolidação de ossos fraturados baseia-se na redução anatômica ou na aproximação dos maiores fragmentos. Para haver uma correta cicatrização óssea, os implantes ortopédicos devem anular todas as forças atuantes no foco de fratura. O tratamento dessas fraturas é descrito como difícil, em porte do tipo toy e miniatura. A ocorrência da não consolidação óssea é alta chegando a 60% dos casos estudados. Alguns fatores identificados afetam a osteossíntese em cães de raças de pequeno porte, pois são inerentes à instabilidade biomecânica, como, o mínimo contato da superfície do osso após a redução, devido ao pequeno diâmetro existente, diminuição da cobertura de tecido mole, formação constante de cartilagem no foco da fratura, e diminuição da densidade vascular na junção diáfise-metafisária distal em comparação com cães de raças de grande porte. O objetivo da presente revisão sistemática foi avaliar o melhor método de tratamento para fraturas distais de rádio e/ou ulna em cães de raças de pequeno porte. Como metodologia foram utilizados 14 artigos científicos, sendo 11 internacionais e quatro nacionais. A aplicação de placas, nesse estudo sistemático, foi considerado o método mais eficaz para fixação de fraturas distais de rádio e ulna em cães de pequeno porte

O grupo como produtor de singularidades: o processo subjetivo como forjador de singularidades frente às pessoas que vivem com as DSTs

The personal experience respective is a description of an psychosocial intervention effectuated in the year of 2007 in an institution not government, in the city of Taubaté, with a group of women infected with the virus HIV. We will present in the short form our work, which happened through a therapeutic group, that had as device, the production of new process of subjectivizing with these women in the conduction of them condition of life after the infection with the virus HIV. To determine our actions use the theoretical assumptions of genealogy, of psychology and the theory of institutional operating group with emphasis on aspects of group discussion. During approximately twelve meetings with the denser group work topics such as social violence (inequality of rights, prejudice and stigma), treatment of the condition of serum positive when marked by ambivalence to treatment and the use of defense mechanisms: denial, projection and omnipotence, the weak and intense physical and mental suffering resulting from this process.We end our exhibition while presenting the discursive constructions and, consequently, the multiforms singular potentialities of the group that appeared with our psychosocial interventions.
