The search for international impact and the need to create formal or informal networks of academic cooperation are some of the most common features of the current training offered by many universities. Aware of this difficulty and the desirability of creating synergies to enrich teaching and academic collaboration networks between universities, an experience is presented, in the context of the teaching of Information and Documentation, of inter-university collaboration for the joint design of learning activities and skills assessment, developed by teachers in the public universities of Zaragoza and Salamanca (Spain) and the São Paulo Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (São Paulo, Brazil). The experience is developed using models that facilitate the structuring of learning activities aimed at the acquisition of common skills. Each activity that is proposed and developed is recorded in a spreadsheet which collects the information arranged in various fields such as: description, skills, objectives, expected learning outcomes, tools, required resources and materials, evaluation criteria, amongst others, so that the student can see what he is asked to do, how to do it and how useful it will be. This way of designing skills-based learning activities is possible, in geographically diverse academic settings through the use of Information Technology and Communication, enabling both remote cooperation between teachers and also materials offered on the platforms of each of the universities.

Os sanitizantes químicos tradicionais utilizados na indústria de alimentos apresentam, como desvantagem, o possível desenvolvimento de resistência e adaptação bacteriana, interferindo na eficiência bactericida mínima destes produtos. Os óleos essenciais com atividade antimicrobiana despertam grande interesse na indústria de alimentos, pela possível utilização como princípios ativos de sanitizantes. Esta pesquisa objetivou determinar a concentração inibitória mínima (CIM) dos óleos essenciais (OEs) de cravo-da-índia e canela contra bactérias Gram positivas (Staphylococcus aureus e Listeriamono cytogenes) e Gram negativas (Escherichia coli e Salmonella sp.) e compará-la com a CIM do hipoclorito de sódio, além de determinar a concentração bactericida mínima (CBM) dos OEs para L. monocytogenes. Foi utilizado o método da microdiluição e os OEs foram caracterizados, quimicamente, por cromatografia gasosa - espectrometria de massa. Os componentes principais dos OEs de canela e cravo-da-índia foram o cinamaldeído (67,58%) e o eugenol (77,58%), respectivamente. A CIM do OE de canela foi de 0,04%, para as bactérias Gram positivas, e < 0,02%, para a bactérias Gram negativas. O OE de cravo-da-índia teve CIM de 0,04% para Salmonella sp., 0,06% para E. coli e S. aureus e 0,08% para L. monocytogenes. Para todas as bactérias testadas, a CIM do hipoclorito de sódio foi > 0,2%. A CBM para L. monocytogenes, no OE de cravo-da-índia, foi de 0,18% e o OE de canela destacou-se por apresentar CBM < 0,02%, demonstrando a possibilidade do uso destes OEs, principalmente o de canela, como princípios ativos de sanitizantes.

The castor bean (Ricinus communis L.) is a tropical oilseed species, and the oil extracted from its seeds is one of the most versatile oils in the nature, showing various industrial uses. Even though it is a rustic species, the castor bean is subjected to several diseases such as the gray mold, caused by the fungus Amphobotrys ricini. Genetic breeding would be the best alternative for the disease control, but a long time is required to obtain resistant cultivars. Thus, the use of control strategies based on chemical, alternative or biological methods shows viable in the short term. The aim of this study was to investigate gray mold control efficiency, in castor bean crop, using chemical, alternative and biological methods. The pathogen control efficiency was evaluated both in vitro and in vivo using fungicides, essential oils and biological control agents. As regards the in vitro inhibition of the pathogen mycelial growth, the best treatments with essential oils were those based on C. martini and C. zeylanicum at all five tested concentrations. For both oils, the average diameter of colonies was 0.7 cm against 4.79 cm for the control treatment. For the fungicides, at all four tested levels, the most efficient active ingredients were methyl tiophanate, carbendazim, tebuconazole and iprodione. The ED50 of these fungicides was <1uL/L, yielding 100% mycelial growth inhibition at all concentrations. As to the inhibition of A. ricini conidium germination, the fungicides tebuconazole and chlorotanolyl were the best at all tested concentrations, and the average of germinated conidia with these fungicides was 0.0 and 0.15%, respectively, against 100% for the control treatment. In the field, treatment with the fungicide iprodione was the best for the disease control when compared to biological and alternative treatments. Under field conditions, the average disease severity for the treatment with iprodione was 15.76% against 95.81% for the inoculated control.

Discussing skill issues is dealing with what is most recent and usual in the field of education. Skill teaching has already entered the classroom, influenced teachers's vocabulary and has been a fixture in the educational projects and curriculum proposals. But in what aspect is pedagogy focused on skills different from other pedagogical theories to become so fundamental to schooling? Why do governments increasingly adopt skill teaching as a strategy and as goals of state education? Somehow we will treat these questions by looking at the concrete fundamentals of Skill Pedagogy Skill, its philosophical, political and economic bases to enable its incorporation into contemporary school practice.

Introduction: Individuals born from the 1990’s to accompany technological change course and learn how to use the technological resources that have access before they even learn to read or write. In this sense, the literature considers the digital natives or even 'Google generation'. However, it has been questioned their skills to identify information needs and seeking and use of information in the most varied environments digital information available on the Web. Objectives: To characterize the behavior of information seeking in everyday life of a group of teenage students from a private school in Marilia, Sao Paulo. Methodology: A qualitative study with 30 adolescent students of a private school in Marilia, Sao Paulo. Data collection was accomplished at first by means of a questionnaire, based on the research of Hughes-Hussell and August (2007), containing questions about age, gender, hobbies and everyday tasks, and issues the use of computers and the internet, which allowed determination of the social, economic and cultural rights of respondents. Results: have focused on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to search access and use information. It was suggested that the "Brotherhood of Informatics', an incentive for students to (re) learn the tools of digital communication and make appropriate use of the resources, products and services on the web to search and effective use of information compatible with their needs and that is tied to the ethical and responsible use of technology environments. Conclusions: The results arising from this study will continue through the continuation of the Confraternity of Computing, which became a "thermometer" on the use of digital information environments and the attitude of the students in front of Information and Communication Technologies in the College “Cristo Rei”.

This article aims to address the relationship between work and professional education, specifically the ideology skills and the new pedagogy business under the globalization of capital. Is analyzed at first, the world-historical context, the restructuring of the productive and political capital from the 1970s, and the demand for a new organization of work based on model Toyota. Second, discuss such changes are productive within the Brazilian state and its influence on educational policies geared to work, permeated by the ideology skills as an instrument that seeks to obscure the relationshipcapital. It discusses the emergence of new education business connected to the ideals of human capital. It is the influence of international organizations in Brazil of the United Nations (UN) and the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), aimed at articulating the education according to the ideological aspect global, verified legislative apparatus in education. Ends up not only to reflect the content of the skills ideology, but it is suggested the redemption value of the denied promise of emancipation human-general.

Professional competence can be one of the paths for the insertion of the disabled students in the labor market. This study evaluated the development of skills from the perspective of five learners with disabilities, their tutors and teachers. The survey was conducted in a non-governmental organization that had a range of 32 skills to be taught. The assessment revealed that some of the skills improve with provided training, others remained at the same level and only one decreases its score. It is possible to conclude that the learning program contributed to the development of the skills, which may mean the inclusion of young people in the labor market.

The benefits of proper nutrition and analgesia are closely linked when it comes to animals that are suffering from any illness and are hospitalized. In patients who are ill or under the stress of hospitalization, increase secretion of glucagon, catecholamines, cortisol and growth hormone antagonize the effects of insulin, leading to hyperglycemia and degradation of tissue proteins to provide substrate for gluconeogenesis. These changes result in loss of lean body mass, reflecting negatively on tissue repair processes, immune response and prognosis. Likewise, the pain induced by noxious stimulation can lead to protein catabolism, stress, immunosupression, delayed wound healing and acceleration of disease processes. This review confirms the nutrition and pain control importance in hospitalized patients, showing their physiological benefits and reduction in hospital stay when the clinician understands these benefits and the animals are treated with such care

A promoção do uso racional de medicamentos (URM) é necessária para se evitar quaisquer conseqüências inadequadas relacionadas ao uso de medicamentos. O profissional atuante deve transmitir todas as informações relevantes sobre o produto, assim como a forma adequada de uso, quantidade a ser utilizada, os cuidados que devem ser tomados e também os possíveis efeitos adversos que possam aparecer. A interação do profissional farmacêutico com o paciente é uma etapa indispensável e muito importante na dispensação, e com o prévio conhecimento e com o auxílio de material técnico para consulta, o farmacêutico é capaz de realizar uma boa dispensação, fornecendo o medicamento correto que foi prescrito e, principalmente, dando informação necessária sobre o uso do medicamento em questão. O usuário está sujeito a riscos oferecidos pelo uso inadequado do medicamento, e isso deve ser evitado no ato da dispensação do produto pelo profissional atuante. Todo medicamento apresenta seus riscos, até mesmo quando utilizado de forma adequada. Por isso, a educação do paciente em relação ao medicamento é imprescindível para que o seu consumo proporcione o máximo benefício, minimizando os possíveis efeitos indesejáveis. Os riscos do uso de medicamentos fazem com que o paciente fique susceptível aos chamados Problemas Relacionados com os Medicamentos (PRM’s), que são problemas de saúde apresentados como reações negativas pelo uso do medicamento, e tem como conseqüência o aparecimento de efeitos adversos ou o efeito terapêutico necessário não ocorra. Esse usuário que não recebe a devida atenção farmacêutica no ato da aquisição e dispensação do medicamento, ou seja, não é alertado sobre possíveis reações que o medicamento possa causar e também a maneira de usar o medicamento, pode contribuir para a sua não adesão ao tratamento. Essential oils are products from plants and can be located in parts or in its entirety. There are several methods for its extraction, where the most suitable depends on the plant or the use of the essence. The main species cultivated in Brazil are the Corymbia citriodora, Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus staigeriana. The Corymbia citriodora is a species that was introduced in Brazil along with other species, with the initial objective of timber production. The yield of oil can range from 0.5 % to 3.0% according to the literature and this can be optimized by reducing the moisture content of the leaves. Studies show that the lower water content in the leaves allows the vapor stream generated in the extractor can drag, more efficiently, the volatiles stored in the cells as compared with the green material. The drying of the sheets is important for companies, so that there is transport of water, increasing the volume of the sheets to distillation and hence a greater volume of oil. The objective of this study was to compare the drying methods, analyzing the income of the essence and determine the best method to optimize the yield of essential oil. Experimental tests were performed natural drying 10, 15 and 20 days and fluidized with times of 60, 90 and 120 minutes and after drying were extractions of the oil. The results obtained for fresh leave yield was 1.20 % and the drying time which showed the highest yield was 15 and 20 days with 2.90 % and 2.70 % yield, respectively, with the lowest level humidity of 16%. The yields obtained in fluidized bed drying did not change as the natural drying to between 1.64% and 1.7%. It is concluded that the decreased level of the sheets increases the yield of oil and the temperature in the fluidized bed is essential for the removal of water from the leaves necessary to increase the yield
