Resistência antimicrobiana em coliformes totais isolados de tanques de refrigeração de leite bovino

Milk that is adequate for consumption must be of hygienic quality, nutritional value, and should maintain its organoleptic properties. Isolation of fecal and/or total coliforms from bovine milk is considered an indicator of hygiene and good management practices, and can be used as a quality indicator. This study aimed to isolate, identify, and assess the resistance profile of coliforms isolated from collective bulk tanks and individual milk tanks. A total of 89 milk samples were collected from collective bulk tanks and, from these, 21 Klebsiella spp., one E. coli, and 29 Enterobacter spp. were isolated, whereas 102 milk samples from individual tanks showed isolation of one Klebsiella spp. and seven Enterobacter spp. In collective bulk tanks, at least 47% of Klebsiella spp. and Enterobacter spp. were resistant to cephalexin and 30% to ampicillin. From these, at least 24% showed multidrug resistance. Among the microorganisms isolated from the individual tanks, 85% or more were resistant to ampicillin. The ESBL phenotype and the blaTEM gene were detected in strains of Klebsiella spp. isolated from both tanks. It was concluded that contamination of milk with resistant total coliforms, and especially the storage of raw milk from several small producers in the collective bulk tank increase the risk of contamination.

Metabolismo de proteínas na musculatura esquelética de animais diabéticos tratados com iogurte enriquecido com curcumina

A perda de massa muscular observada no diabetes mellitus (DM) tipo 1 é consequência da combinação entre redução na velocidade de síntese proteica e aumento na velocidade de proteólise. A curcumina, pigmento amarelo extraído dos rizomas de Curcuma longa L., promove diversos benefícios no metabolismo de carboidratos e lipídeos no DM. Deste modo, buscamos avaliar o efeito do tratamento de ratos diabéticos com curcumina incorporada em iogurte sobre o metabolismo proteico muscular. Ratos Wistar machos (150±10 g) receberam estreptozotocina (40 mg/kg, i.v.) para indução do DM e foram divididos nos grupos (n=8): diabético tratado com iogurte (DIOG), 90 mg/kg de curcumina (DC90), 4U de insulina (DINS) e ratos normais, não diabéticos, tratados com iogurte (NIOG). Após 35 dias de tratamento, os animais foram eutanasiados e os músculos esqueléticos soleus e extensor digitorium longus (EDL) foram retirados e utilizados para a determinação das atividades proteolíticas de caspase-3, calpaína e proteassoma (atividade quimiotripsina-like). O tratamento de animais diabéticos com curcumina incorporada em iogurte reduziu a glicemia, os níveis de ureia urinária e promoveu um maior ganho de peso corporal em relação aos animais diabéticos tratados somente com iogurte (DIOG). Animais DIOG apresentaram um aumento nas atividades de calpaína e proteassoma em músculos soleus e EDL em relação aos valores encontrados em músculos de animais NIOG; já o tratamento com curcumina reduziu as atividades de calpaína e proteassoma em EDL de ratos diabéticos, o que explica, pelo menos em parte, a menor perda de massa deste músculo em ratos DC90. In all segments, the companies are looking for the highest productivity with the lowest possible cost, and in the construction industry, the thinking is the same. Over time, techniques that generate more productivity supplanted previous techniques; an example is the CAD technology that replaced free drawings in projects execution. However, the Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology does not deal with certain factors that permeate the entire project. It is required the use of other techniques to supply this need in traditional projects. For example, a software for schedule management, another for assets management and a person who makes calculations for estimates and budgets. The BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology aims to integrate all this information, facilitating the communication among members of a work team and reducing the time required to carry out the project. This work is a applied research, a descriptive research, carried out through modeling and simulation, processes inherent in the use of BIM, a survey was also used only to contextualization. BIM was used for a soccer stadium roof project, in order to verify the feasibility of such use through the analysis of: BIM tools, difficulties encountered and implications of BIM use, and comparison of traditional methods and the use of BIM.
