The study aims to analyze the mechanization of the main coffee growing region in the south of Minas Gerais, in force, especially from the 1970s. But you get new content from the1990s, with the introduction of new information technologies. The use of machines in production processes appear as one of the great transformations of coffee in the period modern after globalization, requiring a labor more specialized, although resulting in unemployment in rural areas. So in the period of globalization new technologies gradually replace manual work. In the coffee farm, the old ways of the production (that handed down from father to son) aren't accepted by the global scientific agriculture (Santos, 2000:88). They are considered inefficient and low quality, but not attendant of patterns the international market. The national companies producing agricultural machines for coffee with emphasis on the company Pinhalense Agricultural Machinery SA believe that the producers of the region are its biggest customers in the country, considering the degree of mechanization more pronounced compared to other coffee growing regions. This study examines some characteristics of the contemporary reality and its influence on the dynamics of the organizational activities, in particular, related to the quality management. Discusses capitalist logic of maximization of profits that has been sophisticated in face of new scenarios that arise with society evolution. It also proposes a reflection on the philosophies and formats of management that fits with the desire to meet the needs of society through the expansion of quality - now a reference for the production processes and management systems. The work highlights the relations between communication and quality, pointing them as fundamental to the use of fissures on the evolution of the capitalist system in developing programs, philosophies and management systems. This article aims to further discuss the Local Productive Arrangements (APLs), considering some geographical visions thinking about spatial configuration and the economic and social processes that characterize them, configuring a wide range of territorialities and productive territories that mark the landscape current Brazilian. In this sense, APLs are present today in both the figure of those who study analytical concept for regional development, and as a public policy supporting networks and supply chains in their territorial bases, especially small businesses. Thus, this arrangements can be read, geographically, as territorial productive specializations that are configured in spatial circuits of production, integrated with other regions, localities and supply chains through the morphology of networks and districts and grounded in networks of urban networks of material and immaterial flows which are bringing urban centers of different sizes. Considering the multidimensionality of the subject, the clusters have certain weaknesses in terms of their assumptions and perspectives, especially the limitations of the tool if designed just for resources and policies applied at the local level. Suggest the approach of a "geography of APLs" is to seek treat it from a territorial and socio reading.
