The steel type AISI 4130 (ultra-high strength steel) is an alloy of low carbon and its main alloying elements are chromium and molybdenum, which improves the toughness of the weld metal. It has numerous applications, especially where the need for high mechanical strength. It is widely used in equipment used by the aviation industry, such as cradle-tomotor, and this is the motivation for this study. Cots are of fundamental importance, because the engine supports and maintains balance in the fixed landing gear. This equipment is subjected to intense loading cycles, whose fractures caused by fatigue are constantly observed. Will be determined the effects caused by re-welding the structure of aeronautical equipment, and will also study the microstructure of the metal without welding. The studies will be done on materials used in aircraft, which was given to study. The results provide knowledge of microstructure to evaluate any type of fracture that maybe caused by fatigue. Fatigue is a major cause of aircraft accidents and incidents occurred, which makes the study of the microstructure of the metal, weld and re-solder the knowledge essential to the life of the material. The prevention and control of the process of fatigue in aircraft are critical, since the components are subjected to greater responsibility cyclic loading

Therebar of aluminum 1350 AA produced by CBA are used inthe manufacture of wires and cables for electric power transmission, which marketshows increasingly favorableto aluminum due to itslow densityand high electrical conductivity, but to ensure that this materialmeets all specifications of projectsfor electricity transmission, it must have homogeneity in the chemicaland mechanicalproperties.One of the points of improvement in the process of rod production isreducing the high variation of the limitof tensile strengthalong the coils, therefore, this work seeks a better understanding of the factors that significantly influence the mechanical properties of rebar, specifically assessing the influence oftemperatureat the output of the coils, which can cause a recovery effect on the material andif thereare relevantdifferences between the two modes of rebar production: auto and manual.Samples of six coils have been specifically produced forthis study, which weresubsequently subjected to different annealing temperatures for one hour and ten minutes, similar to what occurs in the output of the coil from the machine. The tensile tests showed that aluminum 1350 AA is significantly influenced by temperature, whose behavior was very similar to that presented in the literature. It was found that the phenomenon of recovery occurred more significantly at high temperatures. Through the optical electron microscope Zeiss, 18 surface maps were made with 100x magnification for each sample in different conditions and the images were analyzed using entropy and fractal dimension, aiming to relate the condition of surface hardening on mechanical property of the samples in that condition. The results showed that these methods can be applied, provided they do not have any kind of imperfection on the surface, once they can influence the results. Because the high consumption of welded pipe for exploration and conduction oil and gas, optimization of manufacturing processes is necessary to obtain better productivity, efficiency and cost reduction. The objective of this study is to analyze the forms of heat transfer during the welding of pipes using longitudinal submerged arc process them to propose a model for the temperature distribution in the welded region. For this analysis are addressed as the heat transfer modes operate in the specified welding process and the necessary considerations for the mathematical model were obtained. The calculations were performed and the simulations needed to obtain the temperature distribution in the tube were carried out. Therefore, the practice was satisfactory and the results showed a range of temperatures along the pipe for a particular model and the future suggestions for improvement of this work

The soil resistance to penetration and shear can be used as indicators of soil compaction and to indicate the susceptibility of a soil to erosion. The objective of this study was to quantify and compare the impact provided by different land uses in a haplic cambissol in areas of permanent preservation, from the soil resistance to penetration and shear. The experimental area was located in an area of permanent preservation, the sub-basin of the Ribeira Iguape River - SP, with different land uses: banana cultivation - CBAN, degraded pasture - PDEG, silvopastoral system - MPIS and native forest - MNAT. The test for resistance to penetration was accomplished with a digital penetrometer compaction of manual effort, to a depth of 40 cm. The soil shear strength was determined by Vane Test at a depth between 0 and 5 cm. The degraded pasture was similar to native forest, with less resistance to penetration. The banana cultivation and silvopastoral system were the land uses with the highest resistance to penetration, bringing serious risk of erosion in areas of permanent preservation. The soil under native forest had lower shear strength. The cultivation of bananas, degraded pasture and silvopastoral system were the land uses with higher shear strength of soil, indicating that the use of these soils in areas of permanent preservation is promoting the same compression.

Twelve bullfrogs were selected from two commercial frog farms and clinically diagnosed as attacked by Streptococcus disease. Sixty samples were collected, and Streptococcus spp. was isolated from all bullfrog, being 12 (100%) from the encephalus, seven from the kidneys (58.3%), three from the liver (25%), two from the spleen (16.6%), and one from the ascitic liquid (8.3%). Streptococcus -hemolytic were isolated from all the 60 samples, which were sensible to chloramphenicol (100%), gentamycin (100%), vancomycin (96%), cefotaxime (96%), and cefoxitine (92%).

Os objetivos deste trabalho foram determinar a herança da resistência ao complexo de enfezamento em milho e determinar as melhores fontes de resistência entre as linhagens estudadas. Foram realizadas as análises dialélica e médias de gerações em linhagens de milho. Para a análise dialélica, foram cruzadas 12 linhagens de milho, em dialélico parcial. Para análises de médias de gerações, foram cruzadas três linhagens resistentes e quatro suscetíveis, para a obtenção das gerações F1, F2, RCP R e RCP S. Os trabalhos foram conduzidos em Jaboticabal, SP. A incidência de enfezamento foi avaliada no estádio fenológico R3. Efeitos significativos quanto à capacidade geral de combinação e capacidade específica de combinação foram obtidos, o que indicou que, no controle do caráter enfezamentos, estão envolvidos tanto os efeitos aditivos quanto os de dominância. Análises de médias de gerações mostraram a presença de poucos genes envolvidos com o controle da resistência, com predominância de efeitos aditivos, o que permite a seleção de genótipos resistentes. As linhagens L02, L03 e L05 poderão ser utilizadas como fontes de resistência, em futuras combinações híbridas.

Para testar o efeito da temperatura e do tempo de embebição nos valores de condutividade elétrica e verificar sua aplicabilidade para determinar a qualidade fisiológica de sementes de Dalbergia nigra (jacarandá-da-bahia), foram utilizadas sementes colhidos em três anos (lote I _ 1998; lote II _ 1997 e lote III - 1994). Inicialmente determinou-se o teor de água e depois conduziu-se os testes de germinação em laboratório e viveiro, utilizando-se quatro repetições de 25 sementes. Para estudar a condutividade elétrica (CE) foram utilizadas quatro repetições de 50 sementes. Cada subamostra foi colocada em recipiente contendo 75ml de água deionizada, embebidas por 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 e 36 horas, a 20, 25 e 30ºC. Sementes do lote II apresentaram maiores valores na primeira contagem da germinação, diferindo significativamente dos demais lotes. O lote III apresentou qualidade inferior. Com o aumento do período e da temperatura de embebição ocorreu aumento nos valores de CE das sementes dos três lotes. O lote III mostrou qualidade fisiológica inferior a dos lotes I e II, que apresentaram valores mais elevados de CE. Não houve diferenciação entre os lotes I e II. Concluiu-se que o teste de CE foi eficiente para diferenciar os lotes de sementes de Dalbergia nigra, com alto grau de associação com o teste de germinação.
