The composite resin is the material of election for direct restorations in posterior teeth currently. The restorative dentistry aims to improve each day the material and facilitate the restorative technique. This paper describes the technique of occlusal matrix made to speed up and preservation the occlusal surface of a first molar tooth affected by caries lesion. A new resin-based composite was used called Silorane, which may be placed in larger increments due the material has low shrinkage and polymerization stress. The use of occlusal matrix associated with a low shrinkage resin composite can simplify the clinical work, and result in a restoration with excellent reproduction of anatomical.

Introduction: The zygomatic maxillary complex is the second most affected area of the face due to injuries, surpassed only by the nasal bones. The zygomatic arch fracture is under the direct action of trauma (punch, head butt), its fragile structure, losing its normal convex curvature in the temporal area. Objective: To report a case, using a reduction technique of zygomatic arch fracture using a hook or Ginestet Barros. Case report: A male patient, 25 years of age, leukoderma, showing zygomatic arch fracture right. The patient underwent closed reduction with the hook adapted to the skin. The short dental implants represent an option of previsible treatment, its main indication lives in the possibility of avoiding techniques surgical invasive. The literature in the display that the geometry of the implants is of vital importance, combined with wide diameters and surface treatment, mainly when the bone quality is unfavorable. The mechanical resistance can be enlarged, increasing the number of implants and being used the spliting among them. A rigorous protocol prosthodontist should be following with intention of to avoid oblique loads and to control habits parafuncionais. We aimed at to discuss, through a wide bibliographical revision the short dental implants, their characteristics and indications, giving emphasis to the aspects biomechanic of the same ones. Material and Method: The bases given: Pubmed, ISI and Dentistry Oral Science from 1990 to 2009, were consulted to identify researches related to the length of the dental implants, with emphasis to the considered short and the biomechanics related to the same ones. They were located 568 articles, being selected 69 that gathered the inclusion criteria. Result: Among these 69 selected, 26 articles agreed the evidence level. Conclusion: Inside of the limits of appraised data, it can be concluded that the short implants represent a good treatment alternative, especially for cases with reduced bone bed. The endodontic perforations are iatrogenic communications that result in a communication between the endodonto and periodontium. This occurrence represents about 10 % of cas- es of failure in endodontic treatment. The management may vary and is related to the drilling site endodontic. This paper aims to report a case of iatrogenic perforation and one of the possible alternatives for the treatment of endodontic perforations -level cervical tooth. During the opening coronary perforation occurred due to improper slope cervical penetration drill. Considering the drilling site, we opted for sealing com- posite resin after surgical access and absolute isolation. After sealing, the channel was filled with medication and instru- mented based on calcium hydroxide. Later the canal was obturated by lateral condensation technique with Sealapex. The radiographic follow-up showed regression of the lesion and the clinical silence confirmed the success of the treatment.
