A study of the subject indexing process in university libraries is presented, using a socio-cognitive approach to analyze the procedures, difficulties and perceptions of the librarians, users, and managers that take part in the process. Individual and group verbal protocols were applied in the real environment of the cataloguers, the university libraries. The results were the absence of systematic procedures for book subject analysis and representation, the incompatibility of the indexing language, and problems in subject retrieval from the catalog. It is concluded that there is a tendency in catalogs to act as databases. Therefore, the cataloguer should present a level of commitment in his task similar to that of an indexer who works in the production of bibliographic databases.

Distribuição de pausas na interpretação de atores

Introduction: The literature about the work with the voice of actors in the theater focuses the research on organic issues involved in the vocal process as “misuse” or “vocal abuse”. To a lesser amount, there are studies that highlight issues of interpretation and expressive resources, as well as others that highlight the linguistic resources of interpretation. This work shows a linguistic feature – the pause – and its collaboration for the theatrical interpretation. Objective: to verify the extent to which similarities and differences occur between the points judged as occurrence of pauses in interpretations of a theatrical text. Method: Subjects of this study were four theater actors, who played individually a same theatrical text. Later, a group of ten judges judged the points where pauses occurred. Based on a criterion of 70% agreement between judges, were searched similarities and differences between the points judged as pause of each recording. Results: the four subjects showed different amounts of pause in the stretch in common that they interpreted: S1= ten occurrences; S2= 14 occurrences; S3= 6 occurrences; and S4= 9 occurrences. In this inter-subject variation, five points of pause in common were detected. Conclusion: we have seen, then, that this variability (featuring subjectivity in interpretation) is built inside given possibilities, with lesser or greater flexibility, by the structure of the theatrical text.

Representação iterativa e folksonomia assistida para repositórios digitais

Information retrieval has been much discussed within Information Science lately. The search for quality information compatible with the users needs became the object of constant research.Using the Internet as a source of dissemination of knowledge has suggested new models of information storage, such as digital repositories, which have been used in academic research as the main form of autoarchiving and disseminating information, but with an information structure that suggests better descriptions of resources and hence better retrieval.Thus the objective is to improve the process of information retrieval, presenting a proposal for a structural model in the context of the semantic web, addressing the use of web 2.0 and web 3.0 in digital repositories, enabling semantic retrieval of information through building a data layer called Iterative Representation.The present study is characterized as descriptive and analytical, based on document analysis, divided into two parts: the first, characterized by direct observation of non-participatory tools that implement digital repositories, as well as digital repositories already instantiated, and the second with scanning feature, which suggests an innovative model for repositories, with the use of structures of knowledge representation and user participation in building a vocabulary domain. The model suggested and proposed ─ Iterative Representation ─ will allow to tailor the digital repositories using Folksonomy and also controlled vocabulary of the field in order to generate a data layer iterative, which allows feedback information, and semantic retrieval of information, through the structural model designed for repositories. The suggested model resulted in the formulation of the thesis that through Iterative Representation it is possible to establish a process of semantic retrieval of information in digital repositories.

In this article, we present different interpretations to the phenomenon of velar fronting, found in the speech of children. This phenomenon is discussed under both of the following paradigms: the symbolic one – which considers the existence of segments as sources of categorical representations – and the dynamic one, which not only considers different representational units, but also provides an alternative conception of what may be taken as a representation. The analysis focuses on acoustic data produced by children of about three years of age under controlled conditions in a ludic context. The results indicate that the subjects have a covert contrast between alveolars and velars that may be interpreted in light of at least three dynamic hypotheses.

Seeking new ways to be used in the process of teaching and learning, he turned a look at alternative lines of research, going to value the arts in education, and inside, there has been a major focus of the relationship to both the theater and education. Currently, the theater has been the subject of research in education and has been also widely used as an educational resource, and its adoption by professionals is based on studies showing the contributions of the theater to child development. The theater, while playing, artistic expression and involves imagination, creation and sociability.This paper presents child development in all its phases, the importance of games, especially the symbolic games, during this process, through the perspective of Jean Piaget, a brief history of the theater within the education and the contributions actuallyits use as methodology of teaching and learning brings to children's development of the early years of elementary school, bringing the discussion as teachers' perception about the real possibility of its use in schools as a way of teaching and learning. This research aims to analyze, based on the theories of French semiotics (or greimasian), the development of the critical text by Barbara Heliodora and drama criticism, a very popular genre in journalism and therefore of great relevance for scholars in the area. The corpus of this research will analyze nine texts by the author, giving priority to her early career (texts from 1957, 1958 and 1962) and her most recent texts (two from 2007 and one from 2010). O teatro do oprimido como ferramenta educativa: ações junto aos adolescentes em estado de vulnerabilidade social

This article is a theoretical and practical portrait of a non-formal educational activities aimed to examine the transformations experienced by young people in a state of social vulnerability participating in social discussions in a form of theater of the oppressed - the theater-forum. The technique of theater-forum was held as a methodology able to establish a critical space action / reflection / action on the social reality experienced by these young people. The discussions postulates in some theatrical performances were analyzed critically and scored from theoretical frameworks of contemporary thinkers (Bauman, Augé, Boal,Bock, Aguiar, Ozella). We conclude that this action re-signified social problems (violence, drug involvement, hyperconsumerism, poverty, cultural capital etc.) Among these young people. In general, the young through a collective construction could experience new processes of subjectivity and open to possible changes and social transformations criticism in your life.
