With the advent of technology, many repetitive processes before now was be simplified with the support of a simple computer. Therefore programming has been developed and new softwares appear every day. For the development of this project was used the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, and with it the program was made in C # Windows Form mode. This work aims to develop a program that can read, send and receive data via the Universal Serial Bus (USB) to the computer, and thereby perform the processing. Thus the milk producer will possess the knowledge of the amount of milk produced by the animal. With the processing of data it is possible to generate graphs of herd production or a specific animal and you can also generate the required report date

Caracterização da fauna recebida e avaliação dos procedimentos em Centros de Triagem de Animais Silvestres (CETAS)

Estima-se que anualmente, em função do tráfico de animais silvestres, cerca de 12 milhões de espécimes sejam retirados de nossas florestas, sendo que apenas uma ínfima porcentagem de indivíduos é recuperada e destinada à soltura com o devido rigor técnico. O tráfico de animais silvestres constitui um dos fatores mais relevantes da destruição da fauna, acarretando em um desequilíbrio na estruturação e manutenção dos ecossistemas. Este comércio ilegal constituise o terceiro maior do mundo, perdendo apenas para o tráfico de narcóticos e armas. Assim, para otimizar o processo de soltura da fauna como estratégia para conservação de espécies torna-se necessário uma análise quantitativa e qualitativa da fauna atendida e dos procedimentos realizados nos Centros de Triagem de Animais Silvestres (CETAS). Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo fazer uma caracterização da fauna recebida e uma avaliação dos procedimentos realizados em dois CETAS, além de discutir sobre a importância desse órgão na triagem, reabilitação e conservação de animais silvestres. O presente estudo é justificado pela escassez de informações sobre a fauna retirada da natureza. Estas são necessárias para servir de base científica para a adoção de políticas públicas para o combate ao tráfico de animais silvestres; elaborar um programa de fauna que contemple a triagem e destinação adequada e contribuir para o desenvolvimento de trabalhos educativos com o fim de esclarecimento da sociedade. Foram analisados o “Livro de Registro” do CETAS da Fundação Animália e o “Livro de Plantão” do CETAS DEPAVE – 3, bem como os “Relatórios CETAS” que esses dois Centros enviaram ao IBAMA. O período escolhido foi do ano de 2003 a 2008. Os dados foram compilados e organizados em planilhas do Microsoft Office Excel e foram elaborados tabelas e gráficos para análise dos resultados.

Radiotherapy in veterinary practice is already known and widely distributed in large specialized centers of developed countries. In early 2000, there were about 30 radiotherapy equipment specifically designed for the veterinary clinic in the United States. In Brazil, the veterinary radiotherapy is still confined to research in universities, where most of the procedures is radiation therapy performed with superficial x-ray machines, with a voltage between 50 and 150 kVp, focus-distance surface (DFS) between 20,0cm and 40,0cm. As that occurs in human medicine, new research strengthens the development and prospects for the use of radiotherapy as a safe option for treating cancer in animals. This paper presents a methodology for calculating the exposure time for superficial radiotherapy procedures in veterinary medicine for small animals (dogs and cats). The dosimetric parameters of X-rays are determined using a spreadsheet tool for Microsoft Office Excel, developed in this paper for a device Dermopan 2, Veterinary Hospital of UNESP in Araçatuba. Using the worksheet helps the veterinarian to determine the time of exposure to radiation determined for each clinical case, optimize the workflow for professionals in veterinary radiotherapy procedures, which often lack the medical physics in team and at the time of radiotherapy. The correct use of spreadsheet decreases the chances of errors in dose rates of radiation, providing a higher quality of care

Sistema de cálculo computacional da unidade monitora para feixes de elétrons em radioterapia

In radiation theraphy with electron beam, the electrons are produced in linear accelerators, and energy the most used have between 4MeV and 20MeV. Generally, the treatments are done for superficial injuries, because the low penetration of these particles. In this work a system for calculation of monitor units (U.M.) for cases of treatments with electron beam was developed. The Excel program of Microsoft was used and is easily found in the operational system of the personal microcomputers. In the Excel has been inserted the pertinent data of the linear accelerator of Varian, model 2100C, used in the Service of radiation theraphy of the Hospital of the Clinics of the College of Medicine of the UNESP of Botucatu. For some values of the physical parameters, such as: factors field and factors calibration, not supplied in the tests of acceptance of the machine, still proceeded calculations from interpolation and extrapolation. The mathematical formulas for automatic search of these and others factors used in the calculations of the determination of the U.M had been developed in agreement available routines in Excel. For this the functions had been used the function IF (that it imposes search condition) and the PROCH (that looks a value in a column from determined line), beyond the basic functions of addition, multiplication and division. It is intended to optimize the routine of the Services of radiation theraphy that perform through eletrontheraphy procedures, speeding the calculations and minimizing the occurrence of errors and uncertainties deriving of the maken a mistake manipulation of the parameters gotten in tables of data of electron beams

Práticas alternativas e complementares no tratamento do câncer: revisão integrativa da literatura

O interesse no tema pela praticas alternativa e complementar na saúde vem aumentado, principalmente entre pacientes oncológicos, que buscam uma melhor qualidade de vida e algumas alternativas para amenizar os efeitos colaterais do tratamento convencional. Fazer uma revisão integrativa da produção científica em periódicos nacionais e internacionais, acerca das praticas integrativas e complementares no tratamento do paciente com câncer. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, indexada nas bases de dados MEDLINE e LILACS, no período de 2000 a 2010. Após exclusão daqueles que se repetiam entre as bases de dados e dos que não se encaixam nos critérios de inclusão, resultaram 19 artigos. A coleta de dados foi realizada nos meses de janeiro a março de 2011 por meio de um instrumento elaborado pela pesquisadora. Utilizou-se do aplicativo Microsoft Excel 2007 para organizar o banco referente aos dados quantitativos. Os dados quantitativos, referentes às variáveis da caracterização da produção científica, foram apresentados em tabelas e submetidos à análise estatística descritiva. A análise de conteúdo, na abordagem representacional e do tipo temática (Bardin, 1977) foi utilizada como estratégia metodológica qualitativa para organizar, sistematicamente, a produção do conhecimento. A caracterização do corpus de análise aponta uma produção majoritária de publicações internacionais (94,74%). A maior parte das publicações é oriunda dos Estados Unidos da América (EUA), correspondendo a 36,86% da amostra. O método qualitativo foi predominante (84,21%). A importância do planejamento financeiro: uma abordagem de matematica financeira para o ensino médio com o uso do excell

The financial health of a family is one of the main generators of quality of life, and this is only possible through financial planning, which is nothing more than save and analyze before contracting debts. To do this, students must have notion of financial mathematics, especially of that used by the banks on overdraft interest, in investments and in the short-term and longterm loans, that is, compound interest, equivalent rates, depreciation and others. Starting from the knowledge of arithmetic and geometric progressions and, based on real situations which allow the application of the content learned, one intends to develop activities applied to high education. To start from real situations is one of the main lines of thought of the Problem Solving Methodology, in which the student is the active agent in the construction of his or her knowledge. As the National Curricular Parameters point out, the practice in the use of computers is essential for gaining a job. Therefore, this project proposes an activity where knowledge of Financial Mathematics can to be practiced, associated with the use of Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet

Pediculose na escola - uma oportunidade para aprender e ensinar

O piolho de cabeça atualmente é um problema mundial e não está relacionado à pobreza, falta de higiene, desleixo. Sua prevalência é alta na idade escolar de três a doze anos de idade. Quando uma criança o adquire tem um sentimento de vergonha, deixa de ir à escola e raramente é encaminhada para cuidados médicos. Geralmente para o controle, as famílias utilizam substâncias tóxicas, inseticidas domiciliares, produtos inflamáveis e ervas na cabeça das crianças. E ainda, acreditam que o piolho pode ser transmissor de doenças. Há uma falta de informação e neste caso, a educação se faz necessária. O objetivo deste trabalho foi elaborar um instrumento de avaliação de professores das séries iniciais do ensino fundamental I, da rede pública de ensino, da cidade de Botucatu – SP, relacionado à pediculose. Esta análise ocorreu através de um questionário constituído de 10 perguntas abertas e 14 fechadas (concordo e discordo) com abordagem educacional (ensino sobre piolho - conhecimento, atitude e prática) e com uma abordagem didática sobre biologia, diagnóstico, prevenção, tratamento, transmissão sobre o piolho de cabeça. Este trabalho foi realizado em 9 escolas da rede pública do ensino fundamental I com 108 professores.Todos os dados foram tabulados no programa Microsoft Excel 2000 versões 7.0 e as análises foram realizadas com base na estatística descritiva, não – paramétrica, segundo o método estatístico que consiste em técnica de análise de variância não paramétrica para o modelo com um fator – Teste de Kruskal-Wallis e por tabelas de freqüência. A análise estatística dos dados obtidos dos questionários mostrou como resultados mais pertinentes a posição de 100% dos professores que nunca deixam de falar sobre piolho em sala de aula, nunca proíbem o aluno... This work aims to present the design and development of a speed reducer worm gear that will be implemented on an inclined treadmill that aims to raise the load below the top floor. The project start was made with research on issues related to mechanisms and machine elements, and these theories of fundamental importance in the development of device components, along with the help of SolidWorks software that was used to model the main parts of the project and Microsoft Office Excel 2007 was used to alight formulas to perform calculations of the project. All data for calculations were taken from the conditions of the problem to be solved in the best possible way the proposed problem (lifting load from the belt). Conhecimento odontológico de adultos atendidos em uma unidade de saúde da família do município de São Carlos, Brasil

The Family Health Strategy is a primary care public policy that is becoming a decisive step towards the transformation of the Brazilian healthcare model. This study evaluated the dental knowledge among individuals who attended a Family-Health Unit (FHU) in the city of São Carlos, SP, Brazil. Methods: The evaluation was based on a questionnaire with 20 questions about oral health, prevention and development of dental caries and periodontal disease. The questionnaire was given to 168 individuals, over 18 years of age and both sexes, to fill out under the supervision of a trained dentist. After data collection, the answers contained in the original questionnaires were entered into a database built using the program Excel® (Microsoft Corporation, USA) and a descriptive statistical analysis was done. Results: 66.67% of the subjects reported having received information about dental caries and periodontal disease before attending the FHU, and dentists were cited as the main source of such information (60.71%). With regard to dental caries, 70.24% of the individuals stated that they knew about the subject, but the majority of answers revealed incorrect explanation of it. The multifactorial etiology (bacteria/sugar/poor hygiene) was not mentioned. A low percentage of subjects (24.40%) claimed to know what periodontal disease is, and of these, the highest percentage of responses was related to gingivitis (26.83%) and gingival bleeding (12.20%). Out of all subjects, 80.36% affirmed that oral hygiene is important, and among them, the main reasons cited were the maintenance of oral health (29.63%), to avoid diseases (16.30%) and to preserve and prevent disease (14.81%). Conclusion: Responses from the questionnaires revealed deficient dental knowledge among the individuals. To improve the understanding about this issue, the information obtained through the questionnaire can be used to develop educational programs that will focus specifically on the major deficiencies found.
