The aim of this text is to provide a brief discussion on possible similarities, equal formulations and differences concerning internal level and international level from a critical comparison between a brief presentation of Antonio Gramsci’s and Kenneth Waltz theoretical formulations.

Gramsci e a Teoria Crítica das Relações Internacionais

This text has the following aims: a) to discuss Gramsci and Horkheimer’s epistemological status, joined authors in an theoretical approach known as Critical Theory of International Relations; b) to draft an analysis in order to show the mentioned and joined authors’ different epistemological statuses in the theoretical approach in discussion; c) to begin a reflection pointing the absence of accuracy in this approach - whose beginning happened with Canadian political scientist Robert W. Cox – due to joining different epistemological statuses and ignoring the theoretical consequences put by respective central Gramsci and Horkheimer’s concepts: hegemony and emancipation.

As Relações Internacionais no Brasil: notas sobre o início de sua institucionalização

O objetivo do artigo é apresentar o início da produção de pensamento, de pesquisa e do ensino relativo às relações internacionais no Brasil. Pretende-se demonstrar como existiram intelectuais de diferentes formações e políticos preocupados com as relações internacionais e com a política externa em períodos que antecedem a institucionalização da área nos anos 1980.

Dar corpo à didática: diálogos internacionais

The article uses theoretical approaches as simplexity, neuroscience and enactivism to discuss everyday classroom activities. It tries to transpose the classical bipolar division between mind and body, through these approaches in cognitive science. Two experiments on the body’s role in teaching are presented to demonstrate the relevance of the awareness of the body, to improve performance in the classroom. The first experiment uses neurofeedback to measure the body temperature, as a means to understand the role of the body in self-regulation and control of the attention. The second uses a bracelet multi-sensor, which provides data on the energy spent by the teacher in daily activities in the classroom. Italian and Brazilian researchers cooperate in this experimental path of inclusive teaching, to be used in classes with children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Levantamento e análise dos padrões de qualidade nacionais e internacionais estabelicidos para reuso de efluentes e aproveitamento de água de chuva para fins não potáveis em áreas urbanas

The objective of this work is present and analyze the standards and guidelines associated with the protection of health of the user of waters less noble, for purposes other than drinking, and more specifically, the criteria descriptors of quality of these waters and the assessment of microbiological risk associated to its use aiming to establish, with bases and scientific criteria, the tolerable risk and the definition of standards for the microbiological quality. To this end, the author makes use of investigative exploratory method based on bibliographic survey and acquisition and posterior analysis, presentation and discussion about the topics discussed. The final text may inform and subsidise decisions regarding the definition of new values (preparation of new standards) and in the definition of appropriate technology

Variação histórica dos preços e das reservas de petróleo brasileiras e internacionais no período 1992-2011

The oil market is not a common market, and its complexity increases dramatically when considering the strategic and geopolitical involved, thus resulting in large uncertainties and concerns. The attempt to control prices has always been a challenge for the major world powers, since the increase in oil prices benefits the exporting countries, but harms importers, especially those regarded as less developed. Understand and try to predict some strategies adopted up the oil crises is one of the main points of the research, in order to demonstrate how economics can be used as an instrument of power and domination between nations, and how plans and strategies and rearrangements of supply and demand favor the growth of this economy, especially in the current period, with the new Brazilian oil era, beginning with the discovery of pre-salt, amid a context of growing need for the use of oil and its derivatives

Rotulagem ambiental e sua incidência sobre as exportações brasileiras à União Européia

The study aims at analyzing the potential impacts of environmental labeling programs, emphasizing the European Community program on Brazilian exports to the EU. For this, we traced the historical growth of bilateral relations between the EU and Brazil, which shows a strategic partnership, and then it was listed trade barriers (tariff and nontariff) imposed by these two markets to the international trade relations. Later, the emergence of environmental seals was discussed, as well as their potential barriers to trade. Finally, selected products were analyzed in order to know the potential effects of environmental labeling on products exported by Brazil
