Diversidade Cultural: Relatos do Brasil e Argentina

Este artigo relata duas experiências de projetos realizados em escolas de ensino fundamental, cuja temática foi o trabalho com a diversidade cultural, a valorização de outras culturas e reflexões sobre a própria cultura. O trabalho foi realizado em duas escolas: uma no estado de São Paulo, na cidade de Rio Claro, onde a temática trabalhada foi o Hip-Hop e as manifestações culturais locais brasileiras; a segunda, na capital de uma província Argentina, na cidade de Paraná, onde se trabalhou o contato e a relação entre as manifestações culturais do Brasil e da Argentina. O objetivo central desse trabalho foi pensar caminhos que pudessem levar à construção de uma escola que considerasse as diferenças e a aprendizagem que acontece quando estas (as diferenças) estão em relação.

Arranjos institucionais entre o poder público municipal e instituições privadas para oferta de vagas na educação infantil

This paper features a research of the partnerships/agreements between the municipal public services and the private sphere to the offer of vacancies in Early Education, in the large counties of São Paulo. The study allowed us to identify different arrangements between the municipal public service and private institutions, which 30 of the 54 large counties of São Paulo turn to the services from partnerships as a mean to attend the local demand, including the institutions with lucrative purposes, being different of the traditional forms of partnerships instituted in Early Education. The text is based on the literature analysis about the theme and the information collected during the research from phone calls to municipal administrators, municipal official sites and government sites.

Paisagens: aprendizados mediante as experiências : um ensaio sobre interpretação e valoração da paisagem

Este estudo de interpretação e valoração de paisagens e uma contribuição na área da Geografia para as pesquisas teóricas e aplicadas sobre educação ecológica, tendo a paisagem como ambiente de aprendizagem direcionada e incidental, através de experiências ambientais imediatas, tais como trilhas interpretativas e vivências na Natureza. Estas atividades visam uma estimulação pluri-sensorial, de busca do equilíbrio ecológico e emocional através do estabelecimento de laços afetivos com o meio ambiente, envolvendo o significado do reconectar-se com a Terra. Visa ainda contribuir para processos de sensibilização e conscientização ambiental a partir da visão ecológica, induzindo a mudanças atitudinais no sentido do desenvolvimento de condutas pro-ambientais mais conscienciosas, bem como subsidiar programas e projetos vinculados às políticas públicas direcionadas à conservação e valoração da paisagem natural e cultural.

Análise da ferramenta LEED para a certificação de edifícios sustentáveis no Brasil

CCurrently there are various systems for the evaluation of environmental impacts of buildings, known as tools of environmental certification. Among these, the tool LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations has been the most widely used and accepted worldwide, in assessing the sustainability of buildings. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the tool for LEED certification for construction work in Brazil, which ranks fourth in the world ranking records certification of sustainable buildings. It was found in this analysis that the assumptions of this tool are encouraging the use of more sustainable and less impactful on the environment as it promotes the deployment of innovative projects from a technological standpoint, , as well as the valuation of enterprises certified. Also, very significant results obtained in terms of energy efficiency and environmental quality in occupied buildings

Um estudo sobre aspectos da gestão dos resíduos sólidos no município de Ribeirão Preto (SP)

Since the beginning of it’s existence the humankind coexists with the production of waste, both organics and inorganics. Over the years the world population is raising, and consequently the different kinds of waste, causing significant problems not only for the public authorities, but also for the population, not only those related with its final or temporary destination but also with its crescent production. Considering it, the cities are not able to handle there volumes, and its landfills and dumps are working over their capacities, leading to a serie of environmental problems due to the lost of environmental quality and the natural and social vulnerabilities arising. This paper plans to working over visits, photographic registration and a review on the theme literature, study the perception and valuation of the landscape on the Ribeirão Preto landfill, São Paulo state (SP), that today is disabled but still an area of risk and environmental vulnerability, well as the perception of environmental quality in the surrounding population

Técnicas de Bioengenharia Aplicadas ás Áreas de Preservação Permanente Urbanas – Presidente Prudente, São Paulo

There is a demand to incorporate the nature in the city in order to meet the wishes of the entire population. The valuation of water, a key component of the quality of the landscape, becomes a key element in this context both for its ecological potential because of their potential for recreational activities. The areas that suffer most impacts are the Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs) and this paper will be a weighting on the urban interface - PPA. With the study area the basin of the stream of Limoeiro, in the context of the Friendship Fountain Balneary, especially the source contained between residential neighborhoods Maré Mansa and Parque Imperial, the city of Presidente Prudente and Álvares Machado, Sao Paulo, this paper aims to search and use of knowledge about technologies and techniques of environmental restoration, with emphasis on bioengineering, through an environmental characterization of the basin, with a view the incorporation of nature in the lives of the urban population. The methodology includes: literature review priority issues related to the PPAs, linear parks, relevant environmental legislation, environmental characterization of the watershed of the stream Limoeiro; study of technologies and techniques for environmental remediation of soil bioengineering and implementation of parks linear, development of proposals for the environmental recovery of PPA in the basin of the stream Limoeiro, focusing on emerging... Valoração do tratamento de efluentes de um curtume

During the production process of leather a lot of water is used. In addition, companies such as tanneries have high pollution potential. The effluent that is not properly treated , and it is irregularly released in water bodies can cause negative impacts to the environment and generate fines. The aim of this paper is to present the importance of environmental valuation in the effluent treatment system of a tannery, in order to add social and economic development with preservation of environmental quality. A valuation of inputs and outputs of the effluent treatment process from Tannery Bull in Presidente Prudente was made, as well as a proposal to improve the treatment and its valuation. Many of these industries do not account the costs from the effluent treatment and end up spending what could have been avoided. The management of environmental costs promotes sustainable development. Thus, we can conclude that, if there were better control and also an improved management of the tannery, the proposed treatment would bring economic improvement to the company and specially it would not cause much impact on the environment, including improving the quality of life in the region

Planejamento do transporte urbano sustentável: uso de bicicletas no município de São Paulo-SP

From its foundation until nowadays, the city of São Paulo has undergone major transformation processes, one of the responsibles for these changes is the presence of efficient transportation ; From construction of roads and routes for the animal traction transportation, railroads, expansion and improvements to the introduction of the automobiles, highways, subway system, among others, all these changes are related to greater flow of people and goods. However nowadays has been reflected issues such as quality of life and development of society in a sustainable way, once we have the construction and reconstruction of space in benefit of capital, and therefore the valuation of individual motorized transport. The overuse of individual motor vehicles are generating an urban chaos, making it increasingly difficult to transit in big cities, the use of bicycles is presented as a viable modal alternative, allowing the flow, and enhancing the health of society and quality of the air
