Using qualitative and collaborative research, this article refl ects on the professional development of high school teachers in the context of activities of an interdisciplinary group of collaborative research that studies and promotes didactic innovations, focusing on the environmental context, and discusses the contribution of research with teachers in the generation of a scientifi c culture. The research project involves teachers of different curricular components (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Geography and History) and researchers from universities in the areas of Education and Teaching of Earth Sciences. For data collection, three focal groups were formed with the group participants. Changes in the concept of Nature among the teachers and changes in teaching topics focused on the understanding of nature were identifi ed. The article concludes that the construction of didactic innovations helps teachers to make decisions about what, how and why to teach subjects that relate nature to society.

In this paper we discuss the importance of a methodological perspective of solving problems as a sustaining process of teaching mathematics situated on the perspective of concept formation. Organizing a significant didactic situation for students imposes the need to study the interaction between them and the teacher and between them and their mathematical knowledge, learning environment in which the mere transmission of content gives way to contextualization, to historicizing and handling of topics from intuitive and everyday situations for the student. Thus, we understand mathematics as a fundamental language for the creation of theoretical thinking as a whole. We made use of documental analysis and classroom situations aiming at the use of instructional procedure related to the resolution of problems with the purpose of overcoming some representations about the process of teaching and learning mathematics which is strongly marked by imitative-repetitive algorithmic procedures. Considering mathematics as an investigation discipline, we point out renewal prospects for the curricula of this discipline, which are concrete in the movement of cultural action of the school itself as the cell generating discussion.

O estresse psicológico é um importante fator que ocasiona uma queda no desempenho de atletas, independente do esporte. No Brasil o de maior visibilidade e mais assistido e comentado pela mídia é o futebol. Tendo em vista isso a pratica dessa modalidade em alto nível pode gerar certo estresse, no entanto a situações específicas durante o jogo que podem aumenta-lo ainda mais, dentre elas temos o pênalti considerado a melhor oportunidade de marcar o gol e a mais fácil, exatamente por isso essa situação não admite falhas. Apesar de já ser uma situação que causa alto nível de ansiedade, existem alguns fatores que podem influenciar mais ainda negativamente o cobrador, portando o presente estudo tem como objetivo primeiramente de encontrar o fator que causa maior influencia negativa nos atletas e posteriormente comparar com as cobranças de pênalti do Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol de 2010 (CBF) nessa situação com as demais. Os dados obtidos a partir da aplicação de um inventário demostraram que o fator que mais influencia negativamente jogadores de futebol durante cobranças de pênalti são situações de final de jogo, assim o objetivo do presente estudo é de comparar as cobranças de pênaltis do Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol de 2010, em situações de final de jogo com as demais. Os resultados obtidos mostraram uma queda de 4% nos escores em situações de final de jogo comparados com as demais

Some experiments in Physics teaching have an amazing effect among the students, that is, generally be characterized by counteracting the initial expectations of students. This characteristic may contribute to the emergence of learning situations extremely promising. However, the privilege, by the teacher, the description of certain results shortens the involvement that the student could establish on teaching situations favor a more careful observation that can be done. We discuss in this paper, the that surprise may be manifested in the student on an experimental demonstration and its ability to mobilize the interest and curiosity of this student. We intend to observe the pedagogic value that represents the amazing effect such in situations of teaching and learning, particularly for the Teaching of Physics, as well as the possibilities for educational approaches.Through an extensive analysis of several authors who address about experimental learning activities, Epistemology of Science and Education, we found some results that lead us to understand some of the possibilities that the surprise element can propose. We describe a demonstration activity that we consider amazingly from our point of view and that was realized in a regular classroom in a of Rio Claro Public High School in the year of 2011

In this work, is discussed the importance of experimental activities in Education of Physics in Basic Education from the experience of Supervised Stage and the work with the Initiation of Teaching in the Program PIBID CAPES, in this case linked to the Department of Education of the Institute of Biosciences, Campus Rio Claro, São Paulo State, in partnership with three schools of basic education in the city. At first, based on the work of Ferreira with Instrumentation for Teaching Physics, consider the electrostatic theme. The focus is the searching for equipments constructed with low cost materials and easy access. Were developed and promoted strategies of the use of such materials in Physics’ Teaching, with a view to reintroducing experimental teaching activities in Public Basic Education, in the form Workshop Learning and Teaching of Physics, as well as lessons of Laboratory with the help of script and also in the form of an Experiments Library. These experimental activities were critically analyzed with a focus on playfulness. The focus of work in experimental activities for the Physics’ Teaching allowed to redeem, critically, didactic materials. From the standpoint of playfulness, playful moments and interaction of individuals with the knowledge that provides the experimental material when used strategically, they seem to be of great relevance to the Physics’ Teaching in Basic Education. A utilização de programas computacionais específicos como ferramentas para análise estatística em identificação humana e de vínculos genéticos tem se tornado imprescindível, principalmente em casos de maior complexidade ou em grande escala. A análise de casos em que há genealogia incompleta gera resultados inconclusivos tornado os cálculos estatísticos mais laboriosos, consumindo tempo e pessoal qualificado. Os objetivos desse estudo são: o estudo simulado de casos reais de identificação humana e vínculos genéticos em situações especiais (meios irmãos na ausência dos pais, reconstrução), utilizando programas computacionais livres de cálculos estatísticos como ferramenta; a verificação do melhor programa livre de análise estatística disponível para utilização nos centros públicos brasileiros; e o levantamento estatístico dos casos reais brasileiros (vínculos genéticos, negatória, exclusão) para se obter uma visão da realidade brasileira em relação às suas relações familiares. Os principais métodos foram: análise das informações contidas nas fichas de registro e documentos anexados aos exames de vínculo genético dos participantes; e inserção nos softwares dos resultados de perfis genéticos obtidos de diferentes casos, de acordo com as especificações de uso. A amostra populacional dos casos analisados nesse trabalho incluiu 3.871 indivíduos. Em relação aos casos reais brasileiros, o exame de vínculo genético mais requisitado foi o de paternidade tipo trio; 68% dos casos incluíram o suposto pai como o pai biológico e 27% dos supostos pais estavam registrados na certidão de nascimento do filho e requisitaram o exame de paternidade para confirmá-la. The proposal of this work is based on the elaboration of didactic sequences from fairy tales, for students of Elementary School, during reinforcement classes of Portuguese language. It is deemed appropriate to use this genre, because it gives to the child and to the adolescents a pleasurable reading, approaching them of playful situations. As a main goal of this work, this research aimed the preparation of didactic sequences using fairy tales in the classroom, as well as encouraging the reading for these students. The intention was also the internalization of the narratives and the messages conveyed by them, associating them to everyday situations. In Brazil there are many cases of cities that suffer from flooding. It often destroys much of the structure of the city, and isolates many families. Relying on emergency measures for these cases and similar cases is of utmost importance. This paper proposes the development of a project of a timber bridge that can be used in emergency situations such as occurs in situations of floods and especially on side roads. It is considered one type of structural bridge which has, among other characteristics, an easy transportation and assembly of the elements. The development is carried out, at this early stage of the project, only about the verification and sizing of structural elements of the superstructure of the bridge. For this purpose, it relies on computer programs, and fundamentally on PCFrame Visual Taco. The first allows you to model the structure and determine the efforts of calculating the elements, and the second one assists at the scaling and the verifications in accordance with the Brazilian technical standards for timber bridges. The wood used in the project comes from the tree Eucalyptus saligna, which is easy to acquaint and manipulate and comes from the region Vale do Paraíba. The bridge in this case of application should have the characteristics mentioned below: short execution time, simplicity of structure and an assembly of a relatively low cost

The present work aimed at investigating the possibilities and limits of academic extension programs as an environment for initial teacher learning and training. It also focused on investigating the main difficulties identified by Pedagogy and Social Science students about this initial training regarding its use in actual teaching activities. It focused on undergraduate students’ perceptions concerning their involvement in an academic extension project which enabled them to interact with students as teachers in a Youth and Adult Education program, during a whole academic year. Semi-structured interviews were done with nine participants. The content of these interviews was analyzed and divided into four thematic categories. The results show that, for these students, what makes this kind of project unique is the possibility of acting in real situations, under supervision, which provided a moment for reflection. Focusing on supervision, the students point out that this resource is not usually there in traditional internship situations – and that they consider it an important and necessary aspect. It was also indicated the relevance of practice, self-awareness and teaching activity experiences. In conclusion, it was perceived that academic extension programs must be more intensively appreciated, given the coordinating role it can play between investigative and didactic activities, both key to initial training.

The article aims to outline the situations of violence and vulnerability faced by young people in schools. To understand the scenario transposition of everyday violence for school spaces has become critical analysis of the phenomenon by a new perception in the voice of the students. Thus, from the application of semi-structured questionnaires for young people between 15 and 17 years was possible closer to the diagnosis. The notes, in the end, gave birth to a path of joint efforts between the school and the community providing refl ections on the subject.

The integration of research in teaching practices assumes increasing importance and complexity in education. One aspect involved in this issue and poorly investigated is the training of teachers for the development of research linked with their practices. In this context, we present a training for research developed on a distance-learning course in the Science Teaching, which involves the design, implementation and analysis of didactic sequences: the Study Guide to the Initiation of the Term Paper (SGITP). Our research goal is to present a training proposal produced from the results collected from a survey of the literature of the area, and to investigate its application and its results in the teachers' continuing education program. Using data extracted from the production of students and tutors, we concluded that SGITP had a good acceptance among them and it was positively evaluated by teachers, in addition to promoting a greater understanding of research.
