The search for international impact and the need to create formal or informal networks of academic cooperation are some of the most common features of the current training offered by many universities. Aware of this difficulty and the desirability of creating synergies to enrich teaching and academic collaboration networks between universities, an experience is presented, in the context of the teaching of Information and Documentation, of inter-university collaboration for the joint design of learning activities and skills assessment, developed by teachers in the public universities of Zaragoza and Salamanca (Spain) and the São Paulo Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (São Paulo, Brazil). The experience is developed using models that facilitate the structuring of learning activities aimed at the acquisition of common skills. Each activity that is proposed and developed is recorded in a spreadsheet which collects the information arranged in various fields such as: description, skills, objectives, expected learning outcomes, tools, required resources and materials, evaluation criteria, amongst others, so that the student can see what he is asked to do, how to do it and how useful it will be. This way of designing skills-based learning activities is possible, in geographically diverse academic settings through the use of Information Technology and Communication, enabling both remote cooperation between teachers and also materials offered on the platforms of each of the universities.

Social networks can measure the scientific collaboration among researchers, institutions and countries, making visible the investigative behavior of any field. Indexing language is a theme primarily approached by the area of information organization and representation. This paper presents the formation of social networks related to the indexing language theme using the available curricula on the Lattes Platform. Co-authorship analyses were done for researchers and institutions, as well as information about the journals most used to communicate the theme and knowledge areas that deal with investigations of indexing languages. It was found that co-authorship index is high, but the social networks of the respective theme are designed in a localized way.

Information retrieval is a recurrent subject in search of information science. This kind of study aim to improve results in both searches on the Web and in various other digital information environment. In this context, the Iterative Representation model suggested for digital repositories, appears as a differential that changes the paradigm of self-archiving of digital objects, creating a concept of relationship between terms that link the user thought the material deposited in the digital environment. The links effect by the Iterative Representation aided Assisted Folksonomy generate a shaped structure that connects networks, vertically and horizontally, the objects deposited, relying on some kind of structure for representing knowledge of specialty areas and therefore, creating an information network based on knowledge of users. The network of information created, called the network of tags is dynamic and effective a different model of information retrieval and study of digital information repositories. Keywords Digital Repositories; Iterative Representation; Folksonomy; Folksonomy Assisted; Semantic Web; Network Tags.

The objective of this is study is to point inter-institutional partnerships in Information Science formed through co-authorship network. More specifically, we calculate indicators of centrality degree, betweenness centrality and closeness centrality, and analyze the relationships between the grades attributed by CAPES - Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - to the institutions and the indicators on the network, checking whether there is proximity and similarity between network indicators and CAPES's grades. Our corpus consisted of all articles published in the four journals in the field of Information Science in Brazil, with regular publications, based in SciVerse Scopus, for the 2010- 2012 period. We retrieved 237 articles, 58 co-authored, with 117 participant institutions. We conducted the analysis of relations between institutions with greater grades by CAPES and the network through centrality indicators. It was concluded that these network indicators and CAPES concepts are articulated, harmonizing these two categories of indicators.

The aim of this research is to point out the most productive researchers and institutions in the “Social Network” theme, in the ENANCIBs, from 2009 to 2010, as well as to describe their institutional scientific collaboration network. As research procedure, we searched for works with the entry network in the annuals of the event. 169 works were found, from which 120 were developed in co-authorship by 40 institutions. A matrix with the institutional coauthorships was created and the scientific collaboration network was reached. The results point out the same number of both most productive institutions and most productive authors. As for the scientific collaboration network, it is relevant that 37 institutions are interconnected by co-authorship. It’s also relevant that the studies in social network have been more and more present in the Information Science, mainly as investigative method for the construction of knowledge.
