O mercado da cachaça, bebida tipicamente brasileira, vem crescendo muito no Brasil e no mundo. Porém, apesar do grande volume de produção, nosso país ainda exporta uma quantidade muito pequena do produto, cerca de 1%. Visando atingir o mercado internacional, e também atender às crescentes exigências do mercado interno, é ainda necessária uma melhor padronização dessa bebida, além da obtenção de um produto com boas características físico-químicas e sensoriais. O principal objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar estudos, visando avaliar o efeito do processo de bidestilação e do envelhecimento, na padronização e na qualidade sensorial, da cachaça comparando-se a aceitação de amostras de cachaça obtidas tradicionalmente, por bidestilação e também envelhecidas. Assim, foram produzidas oito amostras de cachaça, por destilação simples e utilizando-se o processo de bidestilação, em alambiques de cobre, a partir do mesmo vinho de cana, e então envelhecidas em tonéis de carvalho durante seis meses. As referidas amostras foram submetidas a testes de aceitação sensorial utilizando-se sessenta provadores e os resultados obtidos, mostraram que a bidestilação produz uma aguardente mais padronizada e ainda que sua aceitação, aumenta de forma mais acentuada durante o processo de envelhecimento

Com elevadas taxas de crescimento e participação cada vez maior no comércio mundial, a China intensifica suas relações com o Brasil e com a América do Sul, na qual apresenta-se como exportadora de manufaturados e importadora de commodities. Os efeitos desta relação devem ser estudados com cautela, pois apesar dos ganhos de curto prazo, geram perigosos impactos a médio e longo prazo. No Brasil, a presença chinesa é uma ameaça imediata ao setor industrial tanto no mercado interno, quanto externo

The Brazilian automotive industry has undergone profound changes during the 90’s decade, as a consequence of the market opening up through the liberation of automobile imports. The exposure of the Brazilian domestic market to competition with imported products of high quality and lower prices indicated the need for significant changes in those auto industries operating in this country, with the intention of making them competitive. To achieve these objectives management and production concepts were adopted, such as: the just-in-time philosophy; lean manufacturing; outsourcing; reengineering and increasing the rate of automation in both production and management systems. These changes helped to increase productivity and, in turn, reduced the level of employment in the sector, especially in activities where the required qualification levels were low. Despite this modernization, the Brazilian companies have committed themselves to meet the specific needs of the Brazilian market. The objective of this paper is to analyze and present manufacturing strategies from six manufacturers of automotive vehicles: Toyota in Japan, Fiat in Italy, Volkswagen in Brazil and Germany and General Motors in the U.S. and Brazil. The predominant method of research was from reviewing relevant literature, whereas the empirical data was analyzed qualitatively. The article seeks to identify the manufacturing strategies adopted by manufacturers located in the above countries, electing one automotive manufacturer to represent each country. The research demonstrated that the processes for production of automobiles in four plants located in, the U.S. (GM); Italy (Fiat); Japan (Toyota) and Germany (VW) are similar to those adopted in Brazilian industrial plants of the same companies (GM and VW), with differences of operations only in the business strategies adopted by each of them.

This paper reflects on education, work and social issues in the globalized world, where the transformations technical / scientific / informational, articulate the context and intentions capitalists generated unemployment and social exclusion of millions of people in the name of competitiveness and streamlining production . Brazil, a country with vast territory, the diversity of strategic resources, large population and vast internal market, has the potential to achieve full autonomy socioeconomic during the twenty-first century. However, the achievement of autonomy depends on the socioeconomic development of a strategic project to education to train the new generations and to upgrade the skills of workers at work. The construction of a just society depends on acquisition of knowledge, skills and social skills and labor to keep up with rapid changes afforded by developments in science and technology of the third millennium and build a collective consciousness able to avoid degrading economic, environmental and social fundamental condition for all Brazilians are full citizens.

The automobile industry shows relevance inside the Brazilian industrial scenario since it contributes with the development of a significant chain of supply, distributors, workshops, publicity agencies and insurance companies in the internal market, aside from being one of the five biggest worldwide market. Thereby, the federal government decreed in Dec, 17th 2012 by Law nº 12.715 the Inovar-Auto Program. As the Adjusted Present Value (APV) is highly recommended, although not yet widespread to public politics of tax reduction, this work intends to apply the APV method on the cash flow analysis of an automobile sector's company, which has recently installed in national territory and wants to rely with governmental incentives proposed by Inovar-Auto Program. The developed work evaluates the company's current cash flow stochastically from mathematical modeling of variables such as price, demand and interest rate through probability distributions with the assist of Crystal Ball software, a Microsoft Excel Add-in, generating different scenarios from Monte Carlo Simulation. As results probabilities situations have been evaluated until the end of the Inovar-Auto's conducted period, in 2017. Beside APV others indicator such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and payback period were estimated for the investment project. For APV a sampling distribution with only 0.057% of risk, IRR of 29% were obtained and estimated project payback period was 4.13 years

Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a relação entre o mercado de trabalho e o grau de escolaridade, no Brasil, Chile e Argentina. Os três países foram escolhidos não apenas por sua proximidade geográfica, mas por conta de suas economias, que estão em pleno desenvolvimento e apresentam diversas semelhanças. Além de uma abordagem macroeconômica ampla sobre as três economias, outras análises foram feitas sobre o mercado de trabalho informal, as regulamentações trabalhistas e a presença marcante das mulheres no mercado de trabalho nas últimas décadas. Por fim, testes empíricos foram realizados para comprovar tal correlação entre as variáveis apresentadas
