Utilização de fermento de descarte da indústria cervejeira na produção da aguardente de liquor de laranja. A indústria de suco de laranja produz ao final do processo um subproduto denominado "liquor" de laranja, que é gerado na operação de prensagem do bagaço, e após concentrado, é adicionado ao farelo de polpa cítrica peletizado (CPP) para a elaboração de ração animal. A indústria brasileira de cerveja, por sua vez, tem descartado anualmente cerca de 160 milhões de litros de fermento, ainda com boa viabilidade (com um percentual de células mortas inferior a 5%). A cerveja mais difundida no mercado brasileiro é a do tipo "larger", produzida por cepas S. uvarum, que são caracterizadas pela baixa fermentação e normalmente utilizadas no máximo de 4 a 10 gerações.

Traçar a identidade do microempreendedor da área têxtil da cidade paulista de Franca, analisando as suas especificidades, seu caráter inovador e os reflexos de suas atividades no espaço coletivo é o desafio a que se propôs o pesquisador Mateus Beordo. Ele mostra nesta obra que o ramo de confecções emergiu da crise da indústria calçadista, tradicional na cidade e atrelada à história de seu desenvolvimento econômico (Franca firmou-se como importante polo de calçados a partir dos anos 1930). Desde a década de 1990, no entanto, com o processo de globalização e a abertura do mercado brasileiro, a indústria calçadista viu-se em dificuldades diante da concorrência internacional. Com o conhecimento obtido na produção de calçados, porém, mulheres passaram a montar microconfecções em suas residências, já que a atividade exigia baixos investimentos iniciais - em geral, bastava adquirir uma máquina de costura, tecidos e outros artefatos para a montagem e modelagem de lingeries. E o que era, a princípio, uma simples alternativa de renda familiar, foi ganhando vulto: hoje parte da produção das microempresárias é exportada para Europa, Estados Unidos e Japão. De acordo com o autor, o estudo permitiu não somente a identificação do caráter empreendedor das microempresárias da área têxtil de Franca, como uma reflexão sobre suas condições de vida e trabalho, por meio de seus problemas concretos, potencialidades e estratégias

Due to the process of educational inclusion, it is necessary for the teacher who works with disabled students to acknowledge and master the resources of assistive technology equipment available in Brazil. The objective was to identify the presence of these resources at school and evaluate, having the teacher as the evaluator, the conditions of dealing with the Assistive Technology resources and equipment. The sample consisted of 14 teachers who work in the Resources Multifunction Classroom and 18 regular classroom teachers who have disabled students enrolled in their classrooms. Data collection was performed through the TAE Questionnaire - Assistive Technology for Education. The data collection was performance in groups during the training course sponsored by the Education Department of Rondonópolis as part of the Program of Continuing Education Training for Managers and Educators - Inclusive Education: The Right to Diversity. The questionnaire data indicated differences between the two groups mentioned. The teachers of the Resource Classes indicated that Assistive Technology resources are now being introducing at schools and that over 50% of this group understand the resources presented on the questionnaire. Most of the regular classroom teachers is still unaware of the Assistive Technology resources and equipment. Regarding the dealing of these resources the group of teachers from the multifunctional classroom is better prepared to use this technology. The data suggest the need for investment in acquisition and training of teachers in relation to Assistive Technology resources.

The Rouanet law is a tax incentive law that allows companies to invest up to 4% of their taxes - based on actual profit - in sponsoring cultural projects previously approved by the Ministry of Culture. By sponsoring these projects, companies can have their name attached to them and, consequently, strengthening their brand and increase its visibility in the market. Whereas this project is aligned to the company vision, its image will be strengthened and the sales will increase. Large companies use the Rouanet Law to sponsor cultural events and have very strong names in the Brazilian market, perhaps worldwide. Examples: Petrobras, Banco do Brasil, Banco Bradesco, BNDES, Usiminas, Vale, among others. The Public Relations professional, who’s responsible for internal and external communication of a company, can use it as a differential of his work, expanding the company's profits with minimum investments, aligning the company's vision to actual practices and using the sponsorship as an agent capable of strengthen its social responsibility and, due to that, to increase the trust of its target audience. This study will address the theoretical and practical aspects of the Rouanet Law and of the public relations professionals, beyond mentioning examples on the subject, with special attention to Petrobras, the largest sponsor of cultural projects in Brazil. The greatest problem of the Rouanet Law is the fact that its sponsored projects are mostly concentrated in the Southeast, specifically in the Rio - São Paulo region. The more popular the Act become, for most places it will spread and Brazil may, after some time, become a world reference in the Cultural point

In the last years, the use of industrialized systems of lattice structures of wood as an alternative in the construction processes, is becoming more popular in Brazil, mainly for their commitment to the environment.The industrialized system of wooden lattice structures consists in a production of lattice structures, composed of pieces of wood where their mechanical connections are made with the sheet multi-toothed connectors (CDE).Among the many challenges to make this system competitive, the whole system of the connections between the pieces of wood not only must show functionality, but also speed, strength, versatility and economy. Referenced at Brazilian Standard for Wood Structures (NBR 7190/1997 - Project of timber structures) the sheet multi-toothed connectors, are analyzed using three test methods: tensile strength parallel to grain, tensile strength normal to the fibers and shear strength, all of them in two positions, αCH0=0o e αCH0=90o to four types of wood: Angelim (Vatairea heteroptera Ducke); Red-Angico (Parapiptadenia rigida (Benth) Brenae); Garapa (Apuleia leiocarpa (Vog.) Macbr) and Jatoba (Hymenaea stilbocarpa Hayne), belonging to the Leguminosae family and founded in several regions of Brazil.The purpose of this manuscript consists to analyze the mechanical connections with the sheet multi-toothed connectors through tests from NBR7190/1997

Fármacos com alta permeabilidade intestinal, ampla faixa terapêutica e ausência de evidências documentadas de bioinequivalência ou problemas de biodisponibilidade devido à formulação, foram considerados bioisentos pela ANVISA (RDC 37/2011), ou seja, os fármacos que se encaixam nesta categoria não necessitam de estudos de biodisponibilidade relativa/bioequivalência para serem comercializados. Dentre os catorze produtos que receberam a bioisenção da ANVISA, encontra-se o fluconazol, antifúngico aprovado atualmente para ser comercializado em vários países, inclusive no Brasil, onde inúmeras opções comerciais do produto fluconazol cápsulas, genérico ou similar, podem ser adquiridas. Tendo em vista a bioisenção do produto fluconazol cápsulas e sua larga utilização no mercado brasileiro, o estudo do perfil de dissolução deste produto torna-se relevante. Sendo assim, este trabalho avaliou 2 produtos genéricos e 2 produtos similares frente ao medicamento referência em relação aos seus perfis de dissolução e a similaridade entre eles. Os resultados foram avaliados seguindo a RDC 31/2011 da ANVISA que prevê o cálculo do fator de similaridade entre os perfis de dissolução. E, pôde-se observar que apenas 1 medicamento genérico apresentou o fator de similaridade adequado (entre 50 e 100), sendo 51,60, os demais medicamentos testes apresentaram valores fora do intervalo adotado pela ANVISA. Através desses resultados, conclui-se que intercambialidade do medicamento referência pelo medicamento genérico ou similar não é adequada, uma vez que eles não são considerados iguais, salvo um dos medicamentos genéricos.

Brazil has one of the largest cattle herds in the world, so the cattle slaughter is one of the most important economic activities in the Brazilian market. But this activity requires a high demand of water, resulting in serious problems about the correct disposal of wastewater generated in the process. This effluent has a high pollution load, becoming its receiving bodies (streams and rivers) unfit for various activities such as public water supply, recreation, fisheries. To minimize the environmental impacts of its industrial wastewater and fallow the local environmental legislation, refrigerators must make the treatment of these effluents. This study aimed to verify the efficiency of a enzymatic reactor, when occur hydrolysis of lipids present in the effluent industrial of an cattle slaughter industry. The treatment system used was composed of two separate reactors: one being the anaerobic fluidized bed reactor (AFBR), inoculated with immobilized enzymes on the matrix support, and the other by sequential batch reactor (SBR) inoculated with activated sludge. Whereas, the reactors have been developed and installed at the Wastewater Treatment Laboratory, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, UNESP, campus Presidente Prudente. The procedure operating occurred differently for each reactor: preparation and inoculation of enzyme granules, filling the reactor, hydrolysis, and AFBR emptying, filling, aerobic reaction, sedimentation, and emptying the SBR. The Brazilian automotive industry has undergone profound changes during the 90’s decade, as a consequence of the market opening up through the liberation of automobile imports. The exposure of the Brazilian domestic market to competition with imported products of high quality and lower prices indicated the need for significant changes in those auto industries operating in this country, with the intention of making them competitive. To achieve these objectives management and production concepts were adopted, such as: the just-in-time philosophy; lean manufacturing; outsourcing; reengineering and increasing the rate of automation in both production and management systems. These changes helped to increase productivity and, in turn, reduced the level of employment in the sector, especially in activities where the required qualification levels were low. Despite this modernization, the Brazilian companies have committed themselves to meet the specific needs of the Brazilian market. The objective of this paper is to analyze and present manufacturing strategies from six manufacturers of automotive vehicles: Toyota in Japan, Fiat in Italy, Volkswagen in Brazil and Germany and General Motors in the U.S. and Brazil. The predominant method of research was from reviewing relevant literature, whereas the empirical data was analyzed qualitatively. The article seeks to identify the manufacturing strategies adopted by manufacturers located in the above countries, electing one automotive manufacturer to represent each country. The research demonstrated that the processes for production of automobiles in four plants located in, the U.S. (GM); Italy (Fiat); Japan (Toyota) and Germany (VW) are similar to those adopted in Brazilian industrial plants of the same companies (GM and VW), with differences of operations only in the business strategies adopted by each of them.
