The use of mobile robots turns out to be interesting in activities where the action of human specialist is difficult or dangerous. Mobile robots are often used for the exploration in areas of difficult access, such as rescue operations and space missions, to avoid human experts exposition to risky situations. Mobile robots are also used in agriculture for planting tasks as well as for keeping the application of pesticides within minimal amounts to mitigate environmental pollution. In this paper we present the development of a system to control the navigation of an autonomous mobile robot through tracks in plantations. Track images are used to control robot direction by pre-processing them to extract image features. Such features are then submitted to a support vector machine and an artificial neural network in order to find out the most appropriate route. A comparison of the two approaches was performed to ascertain the one presenting the best outcome. The overall goal of the project to which this work is connected is to develop a real time robot control system to be embedded into a hardware platform. In this paper we report the software implementation of a support vector machine and of an artificial neural network, which so far presented respectively around 93% and 90% accuracy in predicting the appropriate route. The mini-implant has become a device for anchorage quite widespread and current employee in Orthodontics. The effectiveness of mini-implant is mostly due for its stability primary, however is important to understand about factors that influence the stability. This article presents a review of literature in the database, and as a criterion for inclusion in articles published on the factors related to the stability of mini-implant carried out on humans and animals. The articles was selected according selection criteria related to stability, The factors of mini-implants stability have been described in the literature with scattered scientific information, most of them just as clinical observations. However, these factors of stability can be classified in relation to screw, professional and patient.

As an innovative transitory anchorage device, the mini-implants deserve to be described with details regarding its use and action during orthodontic treatment. Therefore, this paper intents to present some biomechanic criteria adopted to for a better use of mini-implants as anchorage in anterior retraction (space closure), molar distalization, mesial movement of the molars, intrusion of molars and as support to provisional implant.

This clinical report describes an adult patient referred for orthodontic treatment with mini-implants as anchorage to correct the root angulation of maxillary lateral incisors. The purpose of this report was to demonstrate the versatility of mini-implants placed in a vertical direction in esthetic areas. During orthodontic treatment, some aspects must be observed to preserve the interim restoration against the occlusal loads to avoid screw fracture. A fixed appliance was placed to correct the position of the maxillary anterior teeth and to complete the treatment. Acceptable esthetics and function were achieved.

Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o efeito de um período de treinamento com uma aula coreografada na resistência de força de membros inferiores e na aptidão aeróbia em mulheres. Participaram do estudo, 11 mulheres ativas (Idade = 31,8  8,04 anos, Massa corporal = 60,5  6,49 kg e Estatura = 160,7  4,35cm). Foram realizados antes e após o período de treinamento os seguintes procedimentos: 1) Teste progressivo de Bruce, para a estimativa do consumo máximo de oxigênio (VO2max); 2) Teste de repetições máximas, para estimar a resistência de força (RF) e; 3) Aula coreografada. O treinamento foi realizado em um período de 6 semanas, com frequência semanal de 2 sessões. Houve um aumento significante na RF (de 30,4 3,98 para 37,2 6,25) e no VO2max (de 28,2 6,25 para 34,3 6,24 ml/kg/min) após o período de treinamento. Portanto, um período de treinamento composto por aulas coreografadas envolvendo saltos e um alto número de repetições proporciona uma melhora na resistência de força de membros inferiores e na aptidão aeróbia e mulheres ativas

The educational institutions need to rethink issues related to teacher training in order to seek personal construction of teaching. Oriented research has been identified as useful in the process of teacher training. Through research builds knowledge about the problems faced in teaching, producing the most effective methods. The aim of this paper is to verify the validity of the application of research activities in the form of short courses and themed play during the formation of licensees and the use and construction of knowledge of high school students who attended these short courses. This work is linked to training of undergraduates and implementation of different activities of teaching and learning for high school students. The oriented investigation was the methodology chosen for the development of activities in which, through the construction and implementation of the mini-courses Students are encouraged to participate in the construction of knowledge itself in activities that suggest the development and testing of hypotheses. The mini-courses are designed and implemented by teachers of the ninth and tenth terms of the degree in chemistry. Students of public schools were the privileged. Data were collected through observation and interview. In applying these mini-courses, associated with the daily, prospective teachers connected theory to practice, arousing the curiosity of students and leading them to raise issues related to the content of chemistry. Students showed interest in the construction of the content addressed. The student teachers sought to study different concepts and how to make them more attractive, causing the chemistry was associated with the phenomena of everyday life, including the problems faced when teaching and trying different possible solutions. Thus, there was an increase in interest in teaching and learning

The Triatominae subfamily consists of 145 species distributed in 18 genera and grouped in six tribes. Currently, there are 86 karyotypes described in the literature, distributed in 11 genera. There are five chromosomal complements described for these bloodsucking insects, out more, 22 (20A+XY), 23 (20A+X1X2Y), 24 (20A+X1X2X3Y), 21 (18A+X1X2Y), 25 (22A+X1X2Y). Thus, we review all triatomine species with the number of chromosomes described in the literature. Through these data highlight the importance of further analysis cytogenetic with karyotype description in Triatominae subfamily, since it can help as an important tool cytotaxonomy and mainly allows the understanding of the evolution of this important group of insect vectors of Chagas disease.
