Formação inicial de professores e educação de jovens e adultos: possibilidades da extensão universitária

The present work aimed at investigating the possibilities and limits of academic extension programs as an environment for initial teacher learning and training. It also focused on investigating the main difficulties identified by Pedagogy and Social Science students about this initial training regarding its use in actual teaching activities. It focused on undergraduate students’ perceptions concerning their involvement in an academic extension project which enabled them to interact with students as teachers in a Youth and Adult Education program, during a whole academic year. Semi-structured interviews were done with nine participants. The content of these interviews was analyzed and divided into four thematic categories. The results show that, for these students, what makes this kind of project unique is the possibility of acting in real situations, under supervision, which provided a moment for reflection. Focusing on supervision, the students point out that this resource is not usually there in traditional internship situations – and that they consider it an important and necessary aspect. It was also indicated the relevance of practice, self-awareness and teaching activity experiences. In conclusion, it was perceived that academic extension programs must be more intensively appreciated, given the coordinating role it can play between investigative and didactic activities, both key to initial training.

Educação de jovens e adultos: entre o 'velho' e o 'novo' Plano Nacional de Educação

The aim of this article is to discuss and compare the goals and objectives for the youth and adult education (EJA) present in the National Education Plan (Law No. 10.17201), whose term ended in January 2011, with the new proposal for a National Education Plan, produced by the brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC), which is in course in Congress. Our discussion if run through by the comparison between what the goals that, in general, were reached, which were partially reached and which ones were not reached, this analysis will result, in a certain way, in a “portrait” of the current situation of youth and adult education (EJA) in Brazil.

A psicologia da gestalt: aplicabilidade a prática pedagógica da educação de jovens e adultos

The goal of this article is to introduce the Gestalt Psychology as an alternative approach to be applied in the present pedagogic practice of education of brasilian youngsters and adults (EYA) starting with researchs done to introduce the short hystory of EYA in Brazil demonstrating its discussion among us since a long time, at least, since the transition from the Imperial to the Republican period, wich comes from the end of the XIX Century up to the begining of the XX Century. This history also shows different organizational moves of EYA already developed in this country in the public and private fields, as well its present reality in the large spectrum of brazilian education. Right after, it approachs and explains shortly the rising of the theory and the main concepts and laws of the Gestalt Psychology in an atempt to demonstrate and enlight its proposed applicability. The author finishs the article introducing the possible relation among concepts, Gestalt laws and education of youngsters and adults to be applyed day by day in the classroom to optimise the process of teaching and learning in the Education of Youngsters and Adults in Brazil.

A gestão democrática em uma escola de educação de jovens e adultos

This paper addresses the democratic school management within the school organizations. For this, initially made brief remarks on labor relations, the development of administrative and organizational theories. Later, we reflect on how the se labor relations are organized in the educational environment and what education theoretical contributions to the development of school management in Brazil. Therefore, we discuss the Brazilian educational policies that postulate and legitimate democratic school management. Studies of everyday guided the theoretical basis of this work, we wonder what school subject dealing with the discourse of democratic and participative management. Forward the hypothesis that participatory management should be a prominent space in schools, the aim of this study was to investigate the school management of a municipal school of Youth and Adult Education, which brings in your organization pedagogical foundation and educational principles espoused by Paul Freire. The specific objectives of the study are: a) to investigate and describe how is the organization's management of school youth and adults; b) understand the role of managers; c) check how teachers and administrators understand the process of managing this school. From a methodological point of view the daily life of the studies led this work to procedures and qualitative analysis of ethnographic referring to practices that have occurred in adult education school along with the theoretical foundation. Participated in this research members of the school management group and four teachers of Youth and Adult Education rooms. The results obtained showed that dialogue and democracy go together, that the school is an organization with different world views, which need to be primarily present in the identity of the schools. A Educação pela Pedra: alguns olhares sobre a arte e a educação no letramento de jovens e adultos

Este trabalho apresenta algumas reflexões de educadores de jovens e adultos quando colocados, eles mesmos, como sujeitos de suas ações numa Oficina de pintura. Analisa-se uma experiência vivida pelo PEJA - Projeto de Educação de Jovens e Adultos da FCL – Unesp/Assis. Os educadores deste projeto ofereceram uma Oficina intitulada “Arte e Educação: a Arte como linguagem na Educação de Jovens e Adultos”, destinada aos educadores da rede oficial de ensino do município de Assis (SP) e região e aos alunos de cursos de Licenciatura do referido campus. Cada um dos participantes foi convidado a confeccionar um quadro, utilizando materiais diversos como os convencionais pincéis e tintas, além de sementes, folhas, pedras e muita sensibilidade para discutir teoria e prática pedagógicas. A Oficina aconteceu em 2003, por ocasião da V Jornada de Educação da Unesp, com carga horária total de 8 horas.

Indagações, Comentários e Saberes dos Educandos - Jovens e Adultos -

Este artigo mostra a importância da utilização de registros de aula para o planejamento de outras aulas/atividades bem como sua utilização como material científico. Faz um levantamento e uma análise das falas de educandos jovens e adultos de uma classe vinculada ao Projeto de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (PEJA) da Universidade Estadual Paulista, Campus de Rio Claro. As falas relacionadas a temas da área de Ciências Biológicas foram extraídas dos registros e analisadas quanto ao seu conteúdo e momento em que apareciam. O texto apresenta também um relato de aula planejada e desenvolvida a partir desses registros e destaca a importância de se considerarem os saberes dos educandos para a realização de uma aula. Reconhece-se a importância do diálogo entre educandos e professores, que a relação de ensino-aprendizagem ocorre do educador para o educando, e vice-versa, e que a análise de registros de aula são uma importante fonte para dados qualitativos.

As estratégias governamentais frente à empregabilidade de jovens e adultos: investigando os meandros da relação educação e trabalho

This conclusion of course work aims to investigate the city of Limerick / SP, in order to question whether there are and what public policies developed by local, if there are training places for young people and targeting the job market or even partnerships between the city and local businesses seeking to supply the concrete conditions of preparation and targeting young people for the labor market. All changes in education accompanied the need to provide skilled labor to contribute to the country's economic development. The work is divided into several chapters. The first chapter is about the whole historical development of professional education in Brazil and new challenges. The second chapter discusses the reality of the world of work changes and their consequences, and the issue of working children and adolescents. The third chapter is about the difficulty of insertion of the poor youth in the current job market. The fourth chapter presents the city of Limerick to the needs of professional schools to meet the large number of trades and industries, which are currently listed by the educational institutions of the city and programs signed between the Municipal bodies and institutions such as SENAC (National Service of Commercial Learning) and Senai (National Service of Industrial Learning). The fifth chapter presents an interview with the CAMPL the city of Limerick, whose goal and give professional training to teens to get the first employee.
