Marcas da formação escolar, acadêmica e docente: uma análise dos memoriais de formação de alunos(as) do PROESF

This work describes and contextualizes the PROESF - Special Program for Teacher Training Exercise in the early grades of elementary school and children education in municipal schools of metropolitan region of Campinas. The PROESF was organized by University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and remained from 2002 to 2005 graduated about 1600 teachers. The objetives of this course was provide pedagogy formation to teachers in activity in elementary schools and children schools from municipalities of this region. The course also intended to improve the quality of the education and teachers formation. At the final part of course, the teachers had to elaborating a memorial of formation. These materials can be accessed on the website of UNICAMP. The contribution of these memorial of formations can help to think about the teachers formation. This study was a qualitative research from these materials for 2008, and the objective is to identify the marks the formation perceived by these teachers and contributions for them formation. It is understood by marks the formation school memories significant for this group of teachers, stressing the points of what the academic formation contributes for the teacher in day-to-day in the school and what life in the classroom as a teacher marked the teaching practice. Objetos lúdicos disponibilizados às crianças de 3 a 5 anos: o que encontramos na educação infantil?

The goal of this research is to identify and describe the recreational objects, or toys, children’s play and games offered by teachers from a public municipal school of early childhood education in Pederneiras, a city located inland São Paulo State. The research has started with a retrospective look of the childhood concept and of the recreational objects with in the classical era till the modernity, what has allowed to identify how to play was in history and what is its relation with education. In order to understand how the recreational objects have been seen at school we have made a survey of the oficial Brazilian documents related to the childhood education. The benchmark survey has allowed the organization of a half structured questionnaire and the Kobayashi studies (2009, 2011), was the mean used to identify and classify the recreational objects found at school. The data collected in the benchmark survey in the field remark and by the questionnaire have permitted to identify here recreational objects available by teachers in early childhood education of 3 to 5 years old children at the school mentioned and what they think about the theme, on the other hand the studies performed have allowed us to analyse the adaptation and validity of the recreational objects already found

Escolarização de elites na perspectiva das famílias

We investigated strategies for children education of academic elites. Our study had as basis researches done in Brazil about the scholarization of elites’ groups during the last two decades. The theorical referential for the definition and the problematization of our object of study was based on Almeida and Nogueira’s works (2002), Bourdieu and Passeron (1975), Brandão and Lellis (2003), Busetto (2006), Lacerda and Carvalho (2007) and Nogueira (1998; 2002; 2005). We developed desk research on the pedagogical proposals of a high school in São Paulo state, its image among the society analyzed through advertising material and the application of semi-structured interviews with six families. The results shows that not only the educational but also the families goals in maintaining privileged positions in terms of children’s admission to universities and courses of high prestige, and the perpetuation of the condition in belonging to an elite group.

A ludicidade e a criança: (des)arranjos no ensino fundamental de nove anos

The anticipation of the beginning of Elementary School for six-year-old children, recently imposed by the Brazilian federal law, brought controversies and debates about the organization of the curriculum, routines, contents and activities, spaces and objects, conduct of behavior of teachers and parents, as well as about the policies of teachers’ training, amongst other issues. The present article, supported by advances of scientific production on children formal education, considers the changes in the concepts of children education and, consequently, in curricular practices. For this purpose, games and fun are taken as object of analysis and discussion, and the playfulness is proposed as a central curricular axle in the initial years of Elementary Education.

Strategies used by the children's education teacher for orientation and mobility of the visually impaired student

This study aims to identify, describe, and analyse strategies used by a teacher to support the mobility of students with visual impairment in various school environments. A female student with visual impairment in Brazil, aged 5 years, and her classroom teacher participated in the study. Their interactions were videotaped, and later, their dialogue and actions were transcribed. Six themes of analysis were elaborated, one for each support strategy used by the teacher. The results revealed that the strategies employed by the teacher often hampered the child’s orientation and mobility. This was probably the result of a lack of assistance by professionals specialised in Orientation and Mobility, as stipulated in Brazilian legislation.
