This study focuses on the importance of the professional nurse in the exercise of extended care under the Mental Health of assistance provided by ESF. Aims to identify the difficulties experienced by nursing staff for assistance to people affected by mental illness. Inserts on the assumptions of qualitative research, and data collection used the semi-structured interviews and analyzed the material obtained through the thematic analysis. From the interviews the subjects were apprehended training/capacity building, intersectoral and little bias. These professionals have demonstrated that lack of skills to deal with the subjectivity of care, there is a failure in coordination among sectors of the area and that prejudice is still present in professional practice

Práticas alternativas e complementares no tratamento do câncer: revisão integrativa da literatura

O interesse no tema pela praticas alternativa e complementar na saúde vem aumentado, principalmente entre pacientes oncológicos, que buscam uma melhor qualidade de vida e algumas alternativas para amenizar os efeitos colaterais do tratamento convencional. Fazer uma revisão integrativa da produção científica em periódicos nacionais e internacionais, acerca das praticas integrativas e complementares no tratamento do paciente com câncer. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, indexada nas bases de dados MEDLINE e LILACS, no período de 2000 a 2010. Após exclusão daqueles que se repetiam entre as bases de dados e dos que não se encaixam nos critérios de inclusão, resultaram 19 artigos. A coleta de dados foi realizada nos meses de janeiro a março de 2011 por meio de um instrumento elaborado pela pesquisadora. Utilizou-se do aplicativo Microsoft Excel 2007 para organizar o banco referente aos dados quantitativos. Os dados quantitativos, referentes às variáveis da caracterização da produção científica, foram apresentados em tabelas e submetidos à análise estatística descritiva. A análise de conteúdo, na abordagem representacional e do tipo temática (Bardin, 1977) foi utilizada como estratégia metodológica qualitativa para organizar, sistematicamente, a produção do conhecimento. A caracterização do corpus de análise aponta uma produção majoritária de publicações internacionais (94,74%). A maior parte das publicações é oriunda dos Estados Unidos da América (EUA), correspondendo a 36,86% da amostra. O método qualitativo foi predominante (84,21%). Saúde mental do idoso: percepções relacionadas com o envelhecimento em interface com o atendimento de saúde na atenção básica

Worldwide, growth is seen in the elderly population, which has prompted the use oftechnologies of care that include all stages of life and for that use, it is necessary toprepare professionals to meet this growing demand population. This work aims to understand how old people feel by their condition and identify how old people perceive this treatment in the Family Health Unit. The research is characterized asqualitative and Minayo second analysis was used Bardin. After, thematicinterviews, it was possible to appreciate the topics: Good, dissatisfaction through the life and likes / dislikes of the service unit. This work can be seen that the elderlywho were well, allied to good living with this family, with spouses, autonomy, respect they encounter in society. And when compared with those who have a complaint, we find that lack of family and age restrictions and diseases are the main complaints

Mental health of the elderly: perceptions related to aging

To understand the elderly's perception of their current condition. Methodology. Study undertaken in 2012 using the qualitative method of Minayo and the thematic analysis according to Bardin's suggestions. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews that took place in the homes of the elderly people. The guiding question was: At this point in your life, how do you feel? Tell me. Results. The elderly who were satisfied stated that this was due to the good relationship with their family, spouse, to the fact of having autonomy and respect from the society. Those who were shown to be dissatisfied reported lack of family support, physical limitations imposed by age and the presence of illnesses as the main causes. Conclusion. The adult population requires the use of care technologies that cover all the stages of life, including old age. Nursing professionals should be prepared for the increasing care demand of these people.

This study approached perceptions of mental illness by nineteen professionals who work in a Family Health Unit, by means of graphic representations (drawings). We used qualitative methods. Data was collected by means of a Presentative-Expressive Procedure. Four themes were identified using Thematic Analysis. The professionals associate mental disorders with: health care, medical-centered view, exclusion/inclusion, social environment. These perceptions are related to a biological paradigm, favoring the reproduction of prejudices about mental illness. The analysis also emphasizes the importance of a wide range of cares, while considering how difficult it may be for the professionals. We conclude that it is necessary to invest on professional preparation, in an attempt to transform ideoaffective contents presented by the subjects’ imaginary.

Colaboração científica na temática redes sociais: análise bibliométrica do ENANCIB no período 2009 - 2010

The aim of this research is to point out the most productive researchers and institutions in the “Social Network” theme, in the ENANCIBs, from 2009 to 2010, as well as to describe their institutional scientific collaboration network. As research procedure, we searched for works with the entry network in the annuals of the event. 169 works were found, from which 120 were developed in co-authorship by 40 institutions. A matrix with the institutional coauthorships was created and the scientific collaboration network was reached. The results point out the same number of both most productive institutions and most productive authors. As for the scientific collaboration network, it is relevant that 37 institutions are interconnected by co-authorship. It’s also relevant that the studies in social network have been more and more present in the Information Science, mainly as investigative method for the construction of knowledge.

Multiculturalismo, diversidade cultural e cotidiano escolar: uma análise da temática em filmes de escola

This work has as its theme the multiculturalism, cultural diversity and their reflections in school everyday, more specifically on the interactions between the various subjects and social groups that make up a school and the teacher as mediator of the relationship between these guys. The theme Multiculturalism refers in the first instance, to the theoretical movement beginning in the mid-20th century in the United States and that spreads in the Western world as a way of tackling the conflicts generated depending on the economic issues, policies, and, in particular, cultural-ethnic, in an attempt to combat discrimination and prejudice, given the difficulties of individuals and groups to welcome and socialize with the plurality and cultural differences (SILVA; BRANDIM, 2008).At the same time, multiculturalism refers to cultural studies, through the Centre for Contemporary cultural studies, founded by em1964 Hoggart, and connected to the English language Department of the University of Birmingham in England.In contemporary times, due to the phenomenon of globalization and public policy to challenge prejudice and discrimination the subjects and social groups, regardless of color, creed, ethnicity, sexual orientation and nationality, this theme has been recurring in order to recognize plural identities and ensure and directly affects the school as a place of cultural diversity and conflicts generated by the very diversity.The present work aims to analyze and understand how the issue of multiculturalism and cultural diversity in school films. Our study will be based theoretically in Cultural Studies authors and uses the qualitative approach, working with movie content analysis of school, seeking to seize on the same relations of coexistence, conflicts and the mediations of teachers
