At the same time maudits and aesthetes, they wish to be sublime and consider the dandyism like the last ray of light of the decadence: it is what this article intends to discuss.

Hibridismo cultural: o imaginário europeu na construção da sexualidade feminina do primeiro século de colonização brasileira

The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the conceptions of sexuality and female sexual behavior and conduct, formed from the merger of information and securities purchased under the eyes, rules and guidelines established relations with the Holy Office during his visit to Inquisitorial Brazil in the late sixteenth century. It is a survey of historical methodology in which we used as the exploratory research and literature. In the sixteenth century the Church increases the pressure to change the sexual mores that were free in the Middle Ages, a fact which influences the rules and regulations that are adopted by the Holy Office regarding the person's sex life. The first structure was based on Brazilian sexual alliance between Indians and settlers, which led to sugar, by the Portuguese, the customs of the land, which included sexual practices free since the Indians were out of Christian influence. Supported by the absence of white women, the settlers took them wives of the earth, usually more than one, creating conflict with the Jesuits who condemned Indian polygamy. In this context, in 1591, landed on Brazilian soil Heitor Furtado de Mendonca, and with it, the First Visitation of the Holy Office to investigate, arguing, exploring feelings and behaviors, to discover the true facts, finally, to demonstrate the errors Faith and punish them with the rigor of ecclesiastical law. Association between post-orthodontic treatment gingival margin alterations and symphysis dimensions

Orthodontic therapy is known to be associated with the development of gingival recession. Several factors may be involved in the causal chain of this outcome, including anatomical and behavioral aspects. Among the anatomical aspects, the dimensions of the mandibular symphysis could play a predisposing role. This study evaluated the relationship between the mandibular symphysis dimensions prior to orthodontic therapy and the development of gingival recessions on the lower incisors and cuspids. Records from 189 orthodontically treated adolescents were evaluated, including radiographs, casts and intra-oral photographs. Symphysis dimensions were assessed by cephalograms. Gingival margin alterations were determined in photographs and cast models. Association between gingival margin alterations and symphysis dimensions was tested by chi-square (α=0.05). Occurrence of gingival recession increased after orthodontic therapy. No association was observed on average of symphysis dimensions and the occurrence of gingival recessions. It may be concluded that pretreatment symphysis dimensions may not be used as predictors of gingival recession after orthodontic therapy.

Tratamento do sorriso gengival: como estabelecer proporção e harmonia

The etiology of gingival smile is multifactorial and the correct diagnosis eill determine a successful treatment planning. Altered passive eruption occurs during the final stages of tooth eruption, when apical migration of the periodontal tissues does not occur, resulting in a distance > 2mm between the alveolar crest and the cement-enamel juncrion. This change leads to the shortening of the clinical crown and even further may lead to excessive gingival exposure. For treatment, there is a necessity for the combined removal of gingiva and bone tissue. This article discusses the literature on the issue and reports a case where periodontal plastic surgery was performed for the correcrion of a gingival smile.

Gingival recession lesions are characterized by apical migration of gingival margin with consequent exposure of the root surface, which constitutes an aesthetic problem for the patient. Several surgical techniques have been used for the root coverage, and the technique of subepithelial connective gingival graft has greater predictability of root coverage and best aesthetic results with fewer postoperative side effects in relation to the epithelial free gingival graft. The goal of this case repot is to describe the technique of subepithelial connective tissue graft and demonstrates its result in a coverage Miller class I root recessions. After two years we can see excellent root coverage with significant aesthetic improvement of the case. The free subepithelial connective tissue graft technique was effective in coverage Miller class I root recession presented in this clinical case.

Education is an essential part of the overall development of a human being. There are opportunities of knowledge production and teaching and learning in many environments, so education is not limited to the school environment. A possible field of teacher's performance takes place in the context of educational social projects, therefore, the importance of knowing and evaluating this environment. Rise to concern about how important and what the reflection of the social projects in the lives of children who often find themselves in a social risk to the margins of society and the research is justified by considering the community education as an opportunity to change lives and society itself. Thus, a qualitative study of descriptive type in a social project based on the Waldorf was developed, aiming to know how the project was carried out and verify the importance of it in a poor neighborhood of the city of Botucatu-SP
