Gabapentina como adjuvante no tratamento de cães com epilepsia idiopática refratários ao fenobarbital ou fenobarbital associado ao brometo de potássio: revisão sistemática

A epilepsia é a doença neurológica maiscomum em seres humanos e cães, possui diversas etiologias e é classificada em epilepsia primária, idiopática ou hereditária e epilepsia secundária ou adquirida. A maioria dos cães epiléticos é tratada com fármacos antiepiléticos padrões, fenobarbital e/ou brometo de potássio, com os quais obtém-se sucesso; porém, cerca de 20-30% dos cães tratados necessitam de terapia adicional, pois não respondem a terapia padrão. Os medicamentos utilizados como anticonvulsivantes levam a efeitos de toxicidade e menos de 50% dos cães com epilepsia permanecem livres de convulsões sem efeitos secundários das medicações. Novas alternativas terapêuticas têm sido utilizadas. Dentre elas, a Gabapentina que é um medicamento análogo ao GABA e possui diferentes mecanismos de ação, tem efeito dose-dependente, absorção saturada, não tem ligação às proteínas plasmáticas e, ao contrário da maioria das medicações anticonvulsivas, possui eliminação renal. Quando sua eficácia é comprovada em associação às drogas anticonvulsivas padrões, é possível a redução da dose das mesmas evitando ou minimizando assim os desagradáveis efeitos secundários destas medicações. Por esses motivos, o objetivo desse trabalho é averiguar a eficácia da Gabapentina quando associada aos fármacos padrões utilizados na terapia antiepilética. Para tanto, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico em cinco bases de dados eletrônicos. Foram obtidos 13 artigos, os quais, após serem analisados, permitiram concluir que a Gabapentina apresenta resultados significativamente satisfatórios no tratamento da epilepsia idiopática em cães refratários ao tratamento padrão; porém, mais estudos em cães não devem ser descartados de modo a melhor elucidar esses efeitos

Deutsche Welle Brasil: construção da notícia e representação social

Zusammenfassung: In dieser Studie wurde untersucht, wie Nachrichten, die vom Nachrichtenportal Deutsche Welle in portugiesischer Sprache veröffentlicht werden, produziert werden und inwieweit sie Brasilien und Deutschland bezüglich kulturellen, politischen und wirtschaftlichen Aspekten repräsentieren. Der staatliche deutsche Auslandsrundfunk zeichnet sich durch seine internationale Reichweite aus und schafft Dialoge zwischen Deutschland und anderen Nationen. Angesichts der Schnittstelle zwischen Journalismus und Internet, haben wir uns auf den Sender Deutsche Welle, und dort vor allem auf die brasilianische Nachrichtenredaktion fokussiert. Dadurch war es möglich, den Kontext, in dem der analysierte journalistische Inhalt produziert wird, genau zu verstehen. Die Nachrichten wurden über einen Zeitraum von einer Woche im Portal gesammelt und anschließend einer quantitativen und qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse unterzogen (BARDIN, 2009). Die Ergebnisse zeigen, wie die Inhalte beide Länder repräsentieren und gleichzeitig die Redaktionsstrategie des Senders bestätigt wird. In Anbetracht des Effekts, den die Nachrichten und die übermittelte Repräsentation der beiden Länder in den Beiträgen auf die Meinungsbildung der Zielgruppe haben könnten, trägt diese Studie zum wissenschaftlichen Verständnis im journalistischen Bereich bei und regt zu weitere Studien über die Deutsche Welle an

A notícia cômica: um novo formato de construir a opinião pública

This paper focuses on the discussion of journalistic genres, more specifically on the comic journalism, in other words, when using humor as a tool to transmit information. Supported by the definitions proposed by José Marques de Melo (2003), based on the theories of journalism presented by Nelson Traquina (2005) and Felipe Pena (2005) and relying on the teachings of Jorge Halperín (2008) and Rafael Yanes (2004) about interview techniques, this research aimed to analyze the humor as a legitimate resource and collaborator in journalism performance. For this, we analyzed, in detail, six different frames of interviews of program The Noite with Danilo Gentili, which is broadcasted from Monday to Friday by the Brazilian Television System, SBT. Desenvolvimento, implantação e avaliação do desempenho de biorreator anaeróbico de leito fluidizado e leito fixo com filtros biológicos em materiais diversos

This study aimed to develop, implement and evaluate the performance of a new type of bioreactor for anaerobic treatment of wastewater using different filling materials like trickling filters post-reactor. This bioreactor has mixed characteristics of the UASB reactors and horizontal flow from the point of view of removal of BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) ssed (settled solids), TS (Total Solids), SS (Suspended Solid), SD (Dissolved Solids) and turbidity. The experimental model consists of a bioreactor with a volume of 12 m³, 2/3 filled by fluidized bed and 1/3 for fixed. The fluidized bed is made of polystyrene plates used as a system percolation and compartmentalized trickling filters, where each compartment was filled with a support medium with different characteristics (gravel number 4, plastic rings of polystyrene, PET and HDPE) . In addition, the output of a filter system was installed three entries filled with activated carbon. The bioreactor was installed in private residence in the city of Igarapava-SP (20° 02'40.18"S and 47° 45'01.36" W). The system was highly efficient as the removal of organic contaminant load 92% on average reducing the BOD, a significant result when compared to other anaerobic systems. For the other parameters, the mean reduction was 96% for turbidity, 99% ssed, 67.5% ST, 57% SD and 88% of SS. As for its operation the system was capable of operating in continuous flow without the need for maintenance during the entire period of evaluation and without energy, as it operates taking advantage of the natural slope of the terrain where it is installed. The environmental impacts were minimized due to the preservation of local vegetation allowing the ecosystem to remain unchanged beyond the prototype was completely sealed preventing exhalation of odors and therefore not causing inconvenience to neighboring populations. Given these facts it was concluded that the prototype is shown to be highly feasible deployed as a new alternative for treatment of sewage in rural and urban settings (individual homes, condos, farms, ranches, etc.) Due to ease of design and operability, and sustainability at all stages of execution.

Currently with the context of the Internet, especially on online social networks, it is observed that people and companies are establishing relationships both online and offline. The new digital culture and the competitiveness of the market are making companies change the way they communicate with their customers, providing a broader and more participative communication with their stakeholders. This resear chaims to understand the relation of corporate communication and Public Relations and from the conceptualization of the trials will detect the relationship processes of companies and their public in online social networks. Understand this type of relation ship is interesting because that, it is the field of the Public Relations professional. An area that grows in importance in today's market, since Facebook is being used as a channel of communication and relationship with consumers. The methodology used is exploratory research, in which, it aims to familiarize themselves with the subject and the possibility of analyzing three examples of relationships and engagement in the corporate communications field. In this case, the ranking of the top three companies, Coca-Cola, Guaraná Antarctica e Mc Donald's, in the Top Facebook Posts Brazil in January 2015. Reator anaeróbio compartimentado para o tratamento de águas residuárias de suinocultura

Water and soil pollution caused by the waste from the swine production causes severe environmental impacts in producing areas. An efficient alternative to reduce these impacts can be the use of high-rate anaerobic reactors. In this work, it was evaluated the effect of the swine wastewater with total suspended solids concentrations around 6.000 mg.L-1 in the anaerobic baffled reactor with three compartments. The volume of the first compartment was 210 L and of the second and third ones of 160 L. The anaerobic baffled reactor was submitted at hydraulic detention times of 56, 28 and 18 hours and to organic load rates of 5.0 to 10.1 g total COD (L.d)(-1). The highest total COD removals, of 42 to 68%, and volumetric methane productions, of 0.261 to 0.454 L CH4 (L reactor d)(-1), occurred in the second compartment.

História natural do Bacurau-Chintã (Hydropsalis parvula): comportamento de forrageamento, migração e caracterização dos poleiros de pouso e vocalização. -

A família Caprimulgidae apresenta distribuição cosmopolita, porém as regiões mais quentes, como os neotrópicos, detêm a maior diversidade de espécies. Ocorrem em quase todos os tipos de hábitat. São aves basicamente insetívoras, de hábitos noturnos (maioria das espécies). Os conhecimentos a cerca desta família são, ainda, escassos. O bacurau-chintã (Hydropsalis parvula) pertence a esta família de aves e, do mesmo modo, pouco se sabe sobre sua biologia. O presente estudo teve o intuito de trazer novas informações sobre comportamento de forrageamento, uso de poleiros e a distribuição da espécie no Brasil. Os estudos de campo foram realizados durante o segundo semestre dos anos de 2011 a 2013, no período noturno, em uma área situada aos fundos do campus da UNESP de Rio Claro, SP. Os aspectos referentes à forrageamento e uso de poleiros foram anotados em planilhas de campo, sendo posteriormente compilados em planilhas eletrônicas e analisados em software de análises estatísticas. A distribuição da espécie foi estudada por meio da compilação de registros em meios eletrônicos (bases de dados e buscas online) referências bibliográficas e registros cedidos por terceiros. As datas de chegada e saída da espécie para a área de estudo foram registradas com o objetivo de identificar o período de permanência da mesma no local, já que a espécie é localmente migratória. Foram observados: 55 eventos de forrageamento, dos quais 45 foram considerados independentes e incluídos nas análises; e 58 eventos de uso de poleiro (todos incluídos nas análises). Foram compilados 767 registros da espécie, distribuídos por todos os estados brasileiros e um mapa de distribuição foi elaborado. Revista Rolling Stone Brasil: em busca do perfil ideal do leitor do site

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo buscar características que ajudem a definir quem é o público leitor do site da Rolling Stone Brasil, levantando a questão da migração de revistas que surgiram antes da internet para o ciberespaço. Para isso, com base em revisão bibliográfica, retornamos na história para resgatar as origens da versão impressa da publicação e das origens do próprio jornalismo de revista. Com base em uma pesquisa sobre o que se chamou de Perfis Digigraficos e com realização de entrevistas com os editores do site e da revista Rolling Stone Brasil, concluímos que este perfil, aqui chamado de ideal, não está relacionado com idade, gênero e gosto musical
