This study is linked to the Group of Studies and Research in Educational Policy, GREPPE (interinstitutional group) - Section Rio Claro. In this study, the goal is to identify and analyze the quality of teaching concepts in early childhood education in official documents of the Ministry of Education: National Quality Parameters for Early Childhood Education and Quality Indicators in Early Childhood Education. The aim is to contribute to other research group on supply conditions in municipal and private institutions have agreements. The identification and analysis of such documents, can contribute even as a basis for further studies on public policies for Early Childhood Education. The research will be conducted by means of document analysis and theoretical study on the subject

Cine física: estudo de vídeos e filmes e possibilidades para o ensino de física na educação básica

In this work we present a didactic proposal of the use of movies and videos for the Physics teaching directed to the Basic Education and we bring a discussion about how the materials addresses this topic. For this, we selected three cinematographic works, one chapter of the TV show and videos found in the web and we analyse the physics concepts found particularly about the issue electromagnetism. We developed the activity denominated Cine - Física in a public school from Rio Claro - SP, through presentations of these movies, shows and videos. Those works were exhibited in full and then we discussed the concepts involved in these movies. With the perform of this didactic proposal we verified that is possible insert the use of movies and videos in the classroom activities, and go beyond the entertainment or using those materials as supplements of classes. Dialoguing with students was possible to realize that they visualize the effects and physical concepts in a different way than other that used to be shown in the blackboard through formulas, providing positive effects to the learning of Physics

Aprendizagem na contemporaneidade: jogos digitais no novo cenário em que caminha o ensino de química

Having in sight the current inertia found on the school physical environments as well as on the High School learning methods used, digital games appear as a different tool to build the individuals'/students' knowledge and becomes a driving factor for this research. The usage of this media resource tries to rescue a stimulant type of learning focused on the students' experiences while getting them closer to Science, Technology and Society (STS). The usefulness of this method falls short, however, without the capacitated guidance of a teacher. A literature review has been made about the possible schooling that electronic/digital games provide; it also brings the opinions of students and teachers to help comprehend how the insertion of this new tool in the classroom happens, as well as its efficiency and acceptance. Having in sight the relationship between individuals and the preoccupations about the future of mankind, components of humanity's destiny have been evidenced in the teaching of Chemistry. It is possible to conclude that these games can, indeed, help in the teaching process, although it is necessary that they develop a main didactic role, linked to the teaching of concepts and content, or else become only educational for that matter. Using the tools given by digital games it is possible, for example, through playfulness, to teach the theory of many abstract models, mathematical equations and chemical formulas, making it possible then to grab the students' attention, to thrill them and to develop their participation based on the experience they so often already have with cell phones and personal computers

Alfabetização e letramento: a cultura escrita de alunos que iniciam o ensino fundamental II

As the Elementary School expanded quantitatively at the end of last century, a new social debate started on the quality of the education offered in public schools. Among many concerns and questions, there was the quality of literacy of the young people that finished the Basic Stage of Education. Federal documents drawn up over the last years, such as the National Pact for Literacy at the Right Age, defend that the obligatory literacy takes place until the end of the third grade of Elementary School. Based on this, it is intended that, at the end of the 5th school year of this education step, the students master the social practices of reading and writing that let them pursue their literacy process in the following school years. In this sense, the present study intended to observe and think over how the alphabetization (reading and writing technology acquisition) and literacy (using of written language in different social practices) processes happened at the end of the Elementary School I. In order to exploit to the full the meanings and conceptions involved in the presented theme, it was decided, methodologically, to elaborate a qualitative research, in where the adopted procedure was data survey and bibliographic research of authors that conceptualize, explain, relate and distinguish alphabetization from literacy. Next, it was performed a documental research based on laws and other Federal documents, from the State of São Paulo and from the municipality of Rio Claro-SP, observing the established discussion with the studied academic productions, as well as attributions given to the public school to perform the process of alphabetization and literacy. The visitation of these papers was also considered necessary for the understanding of expected knowledge, capabilities and skills of the student that finishes Elementary School I. Orientação sexual:concepções sobre sexo em pré-adolescentes

Sexual Orientation is present in the curriculum of many schools for elementary and high school. This subject generates controversy in the school community. This a fact that leads many teachers postpone the start of this topic. Fifty students participated in this study, 24 boys and 26 girls with average age of eleven years. The study aimed to investigate conceptions on sex in adolescents using the cartoon. The analyzed results suggest that students understand sex as intercourse only. However, there are a multitude of features mentioned by students. These are issues that require further reflection about issues not always discussed in class: pregnancy and abortion, condom use, sexual desire, anal sex, becoming a single mom, group sex, AIDS, prostitution, size of genitals, masturbation, among others.
