Aspectos reprodutivos de Harttia carvalhoi Miranda Ribeiro, 1939, um pequeno loricariídeo de riachos do leste da serra da Mantiqueira, SP, Brasil

O objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar os aspectos reprodutivos de Harttia carvalhoi, Miranda Ribeiro, 1939, um pequeno loricariídeo cuja distribuição é restrita a área de drenagem do rio Paraíba do Sul. Um total de 110 exemplares de H. carvalhoi foi obtido. O período reprodutivo acontece desde setembro até fevereiro. O tipo de desova foi identificado como total e a taxa de fecundidade variou de 16 a 106 ovócitos. Este tipo de estudo é importante, visto que fecundidade é uma característica específica e é uma adaptação às condições do ciclo de vida, variando com o crescimento, densidade populacional, alimentos disponíveis e taxa de mortalidade. Também foi enfatizada a importância deste estudo, pois não há estudos prévios sobre a reprodução desta espécie

Caracterização da demanda do pronto socorro do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu - UNESP

The demand for health services can be understood as an application needs the user has. The inability to use the outpatient services and limited supply of these make it possible for users to browse sites that focus attention on a greater possibility of entry doors, in which first-aid centers and hospital emergency match this profile, distorting the flow of patients in the network through an inverse demand of the movement hierarchy. Added to this, the burden of care in these services results in overcrowding and poor quality of care. Evaluate the demand of the visits occurred in the Emergency Room of the Hospital of the Medical School of Botucatu / UNESP (PS - HC - FMB / UNESP) during June-July 2010. A transversal, descriptive and retrospective. For data collection sheet was used in the proposed Service unit and the data it was filled out the form with the necessary items for the search. Made an exploratory analysis and frequency distributions for categorical variables of the form. Females predominated (56%) and aged 61 years or older with 30%. 96.5% were owned by DRS VI, and 62.5% of Botucatu. The attendance by the physician on duty and corresponded to 57.7% among the 23 medical specialties, Gastric (7.0%), Cardiology (4.5%), Medical (4.4%), urology (4.2%) and Pulmonology (4.1%) were the ones that stood out. The medical procedures performed that stood out were X-ray (46.4%) and electrocardiogram (ECG) (42.3%) and in most specialty care occurred, only the daily consultation with the patient. It was possible to characterize, so the demand for PS - HC - FMB / UNESP for the period June- July 2010, The predominance of the elderly shows that come along with aging diseases and addictions, causing a greater need for health services. Moreover, this study showed that the high number of visits is related to both the daily demands that the tertiary hospital has the same transformation... Estudo do fenômeno de instabilidade de estruturas cilíndricas de paredes finas submetidas ao carregamento de pressão externa

Thin walled cylindrical shells are widely used in many areas of industry, including civil, mechanical, nuclear, marine, petroleum and aerospace engineering. The wide application of thin cylindrical shells and the importance of instability phenomenon are the motivation basis to this study, since these factors have a great importance in engineering projects. It is presented a detailed study about the instability of cylindrical shells based on theoretical calculation, which results are compared with finite elements method calculation. The loading and boundary conditions analyzed are based on the most common types verified in real engineering projects and refer respectively to lateral (external) pressure and cylinders with simply supported edges. The calculation based on the finite elements method was executed with ANSYS 13.0 software. The results obtained with this calculation are in good agreement with the analytical theory presented in the technical note NACA No 1341 (BATDORF, 1947) considering a wide range of applicability. On the other hand, the analytical method presented in the book Theory of Elastic Stability (TIMOSHENKO; GERE, 1936) has a very restrict applicability and has presented considerable deviations in a great sort of the analyzed cases

Through a detailed study of each component, the structural part and various technologies for highway weighing scales, a project was developed in order to implement a modern system of axle weighing in a company pursuing to expand its cargo door capacity, which was restricted to weighing and inspection of the maximum load of each vehicle, and especially to extinguish the number of notifications that the company has been suffering, by having their transportation logistics vehicles caught traveling with poorly distributed load per axle, what it caused damage to roads and vehicles and denigrated the company image in terms of marketing. To achieve these results, the project went through a study of all relevant national legislation, seeking to put the company always in agreement. Moreover, it had investments and its physical space available for its implementation. The payback of such investments would be about less than three years

Transformações de Lorentz e seus invariantes

In this paper, we will show the types of Lorentz transformations, from the most described in books, special Lorentz transformation that relates two inertial systems whose relative velocities are directed along an axis of the respective bases systems. However, we will see a peculiarity that goes unnoticed in this transformation, although they have reported in many books a parallel between the transformation inertial systems, due to the fact that the speed is parallel to an axis, it is actually a semi-parallel processing. The next transformation that we will see is one in which a system moves with a relative speed that has arbitrary direction with respect to a given system, we will show that this transformation may be appointed as non-rotational Lorentz transformation. Before obtain, the later type of transformation, the rotational Lorentz transformation, which is the interface between Special Relativity and General Relativity, we will describe the systems to be rotated, not just inertial systems, show what the characteristics are that define the non-rotational and rotational transformations. The in last topic of this chapter we will also show how the idea of Thoma’s theorythat uses this transformation to create what he defines as the proper coordinate axes of the particleused to obtain the factor 1/2 electron spin. In the last chapter we show how the Lorentz invariants are obtained, quantities measures that are also in different Lorentz reference, with the focus on mass that has erroneously been described in many books, that varies according to the agreement reference system

A produção bibliográfica sobre avaliação em periódicos científicos nacionais

Essa pesquisa teve por objetivo geral mapear e analisar a temática da avaliação educacional em periódicos científicos nacionais de educação disponíveis online, avaliados pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) em 2012 como “A1”, entre os anos de 2001 a 2012. O estudo foi desenvolvido por meio de pesquisa qualitativa, de levantamento e análise bibliográfica. Foram selecionados artigos científicos de educação de acordo com os descritores: educação básica, avaliação e evaluation. A pesquisa foi restrita a avaliação da educação básica, excluindo – se o ensino superior, pois busca – se evidenciar a produção acadêmica nessa etapa da educação e tornar as análises mais específicas quanto aos temas publicados dentro da temática. Foram selecionados 94 artigos onde houve a identificação de três subtemas: Avaliação da Aprendizagem; Avaliação Institucional e Avaliação Externa. Notou – se um grande interesse da comunidade acadêmica no subtema Avaliação Externa com aproximadamente 60,63% do total de artigos
