A obra tem origem nas indagações surgidas a partir da experiência profissional da autora e do acompanhamento, desde sua formação acadêmica, da implantação e gestão da Lei Orgânica da Assistência Social (Loas) em 1993, reestruturada na Política Nacional de Assistência Social (PNAS) em 2004 e recentemente organizada como Sistema Único de Assistência Social (Suas). Ela analisa o processo de assessoria na gestão política de assistência social no âmbito municipal com objetivo de contribuir para o debate sobre a gestão descentralizada e participativa e promover entre os profissionais da área conhecimentos e inquietações acerca do Suas, concebido a partir da Constituição Federal de 1988. O livro defende a ideia de que a assistência social, como política pública universal, redistributiva e de qualidade, é fator fundamental da proteção social brasileira. E que sua reestruturação, que resultou no rompimento com o ultrapassado modelo socioassistencial sustentado no clientelismo, busca avançar rumo à garantia de direitos sociais por meio da inserção da assistência social tanto na prática quanto nos espaços de decisão políticos. Nesse contexto, propõe uma reflexão sobre a ação profissional do Serviço Social no âmbito da política. As reflexões e conclusões da autora baseiam-se de análise de dados obtidos em pesquisa qualitativa realizada com profissionais que atuam em assessoria do Serviço Social na região administrativa de Franca, a Nordeste do estado de São Paulo, formada por 23 municípios de vários portes. Projeto Memória e Envelhecimento: capacitando profissionais e aprimorando aspectos cognitivos em idosos institucionalizados

The increase in elderly population is a worldwide phenomenon and has different consequences not only in terms of health, but also in economic terms. One of those consequences is the institutionalization. The project, running in two elderly care institutions (hereafter IRLPi) located in Marília – SP aims to: a) Train multidisciplinary team to work in IRLPi’s; b) Develop and promote activities that improve life quality focusing on the preservation of mental health; c) study general and mental health conditions of patients under elderly care institution programs. The project was implemented in three phases: a) data collection and elaboration of plan of activities; b) Application of activities; and c) assessment/ analysis of results. Regarding Phase 1, data were collected from 3 forms, through which it was possible to verify: Institutional Data; Social Data and General Health. The data related to health were collected from the medication of continuous use. All data were launched into the database (Access) and subjected to the descriptive statistical analysis. Data related to mental health were confirmed from the application of clinical trials (Geriatric Depression Scale - EGD, and MMSE-T).

A China e a Globalização: aspectos de uma estratégia nacional

The restructuring of the state productive sector of the central government of China is a phenomenon that has occurred since 1978, and is not yet complete. In a centrally planned economy, China's government introduced a series of economic and social transformations in order to modernize the country's economic structure. The flagship of these reforms was the reintroduction of a market economy, living side by side with a strong state control over key economic variables of the country. In this process, there was a restructuring of ownership of enterprises by means of collectivization, the creation of joint stock companies, establishing joint ventures with foreign companies or privatization. The result of this process was the creation of a set of holding companies that operate in strategic sectors of China's economy such as energy, transport, telecom, capital goods and defense. Within this brief article we will focus on the process of opening up and modernization as the expression of a national project that sought to understand the changes in the international economy and sought to adapt the demographic characteristics of China and productive so you get the best out of globalization.

Revista Follow: informação sobre redes sociais na internet

This experimental project consists of a proposal for an editorial product in a magazine format that approaches in its pages the aspects on the use of social media on internet. For the production of the reports the spheres of sociability, leisure and professional development were explored. The editorial product approached the editorials of sociability, leisure, culture, ethics, consumption, politics and sports. The influence of the social media was demonstrated in the scope of each of these editorials. The magazine, named Follow, was elaborated in order to reach readers ranging from 21 to 60 years old, with an accessible language. The first edition of Follow was concluded in November 2010, with the format 17,5 X 25,4 cm. The magazine has 40 pages of editorial content and 4 pages corresponding to the cover and back cover. Follow’s production proposed itself as a contribution to the practices of editorial innovation in the communication market

Hidroginástica: benefícios gerais e seus aspectos didáticos e metodológicos

Atualmente, a hidroginástica tornou-se um tipo de atividade física bastante praticada pela população em geral, tendo como público alvo específico à população idosa. Muitos médicos têm orientado os pacientes a praticarem essa atividade em função dos vários benefícios fisiológicos e sociais proporcionados e, principalmente, pelo baixo impacto nas articulações e ossos. Assim, tem crescido consideravelmente o número de praticantes, tornando-se uma atividade física bastante recomendada a todas faixas etárias. Objetivos do Estudo:1) analisar os benefícios da hidroginástica sob as perspectivas fisiológicas, pedagógicas, psicológicas e sociais; 2) Apontar alguns aspectos relevantes a respeito da organização didático-metodológica necessária ao desenvolvimento de um programa de hidroginástica de qualidade e eficiente e 3) apontar os benefícios gerais, metodologias e didática de aulas também para grupos especiais (idosos, gestantes e deficientes). Metodologia: A metodologia do estudo consistiu em uma revisão bibliográfica na qual foram abordados as temáticas de efeitos fisiológicos, psicológicos, pedagógicos e sociais e aspectos metodológicos e didáticos em aulas de hidroginástica para adultos e grupos especiais. Considerações finais: Os estudos mostrados na revisão de literatura comprovaram que a hidroginástica proporciona os benefícios fisiológicos, sociais, pedagógicos e psicológicos aos seus praticantes. Além do mais, aos professores de Educação Física que atuam nessa área cabe desenvolverem mais estudos e pesquisas sobre essa atividade física, a fim de proporcionar aos seus alunos aulas bem diferenciadas e prazerosas.

Um estudo sobre aspectos da gestão dos resíduos sólidos no município de Ribeirão Preto (SP)

Since the beginning of it’s existence the humankind coexists with the production of waste, both organics and inorganics. Over the years the world population is raising, and consequently the different kinds of waste, causing significant problems not only for the public authorities, but also for the population, not only those related with its final or temporary destination but also with its crescent production. Considering it, the cities are not able to handle there volumes, and its landfills and dumps are working over their capacities, leading to a serie of environmental problems due to the lost of environmental quality and the natural and social vulnerabilities arising. This paper plans to working over visits, photographic registration and a review on the theme literature, study the perception and valuation of the landscape on the Ribeirão Preto landfill, São Paulo state (SP), that today is disabled but still an area of risk and environmental vulnerability, well as the perception of environmental quality in the surrounding population

Aspectos da biologia e fisiologia da alimentação do cupim neotropical Cornitermes cumulans (Isoptera, Termitidae)

Os Isoptera são insetos sociais cujas colônias apresentam diversas castas, as quais têm um rígido sistema de divisão de trabalho que visa otimizar a eficiência da colônia. Estas castas apresentam morfologia específica, que capacita estes indivíduos a desenvolverem determinadas tarefas com eficiência. Os cupins apresentam aparelho bucal mastigador, constituído pelas seguintes peças bucais: labro, mandíbulas, maxilas, lábio, epifaringe e hipofaringe. Sua dieta alimentar é celulósica e bastante variada, sendo que estes insetos podem se alimentar de madeira (em vários estágios de decomposição), gramíneas, plantas herbáceas, serapilheira, fungos, líquens, partes de artrópodes e húmus. O estudo desse tipo de dieta é muito difícil, uma vez que o material já se encontra bastante decomposto antes de ser ingerido pelo animal. Cornitermes cumulans é uma espécie de cupim nativa do Cerrado brasileiro, pertencente à família Termitidae, subfamília Syntermitinae, que constrói ninhos em montículos, ricos em argila, que podem atingir até 4 metros de altura. Na parte interna dos ninhos, pode-se observar galerias grandes e de aspecto arredondado e um centro celulósico de coloração escura, de textura lisa e pouco resistente, onde os cupins armazenam um alimento, que parece ser previamente mastigado e depois regurgitado. Mesmo com a grande ocorrência desta espécie de cupim nas áreas de pastagens, seus verdadeiros hábitos alimentares são ainda pouco conhecidos. As informações disponíveis são contraditórias, uma vez que não está esclarecido a qual grupo funcional C. cumulans pertence e se existe realmente uma alimentação “in situ” desta espécie no campo. O SUAS e o Projeto Ético Político dos Assistentes Sociais: uma análise a partir dos assistentes sociais do município de Formiga-MG

Expectativas de participantes, professores de educação física e assistentes sociais de um projeto social esportivo de pólo aquático

Currently there are numerous social projects scattered through out the country, including the sport, for the most part, aimed at children and teens considered at social vulnerability. These projects end up having as main guiding sports, these in turn take several purposes, among them, the sport recreation/socialization and professionalization of sport, which often end up being worked disassociated from one of another, forgetting that, in the same place, these different purposes can live therefore are the subjects that give meaning to their practice. In this sense, this research sought to understand the meanings that the participants in a social sports project water polo attribute to the practice. This project happens in a provincial city of São Paulo, serving about 2.300 children and teens and has as main objectives the social inclusion and training of high-performance athlete. The research, qualitative approach was characterized by an exploratory study and used the interview as collection technique. The study included 40 children and adolescents attending the project, as well as two social workers and two physical education teachers that working on the project. The results showed that there is a convergence between participants, teachers and social workers regarding their expectations regarding the project, but we identified another bias that goes against the practice of leisure, in showing that in the same place if can find to the two purposes of the sport, even this

Redes Sociais e capital político: uma proposta teórico-metodológica para análise das organizações partidárias brasileiras

As questões que motivaram o desenvolvimento deste trabalho foram decorrentes do debate permanente acerca do significado dos partidos políticos na atualidade. Partiu-se da hipótese de que a dinâmica organizacional do partido político poderia ser explicada por meio da análise das relações entre os seus filiados, substancialmente dos vínculos estabelecidos com os líderes partidários, com vistas a atenderem os objetivos políticos dos respectivos atores e, ao mesmo tempo, do partido. Assim, foi adotada uma abordagem e uma metodologia de análise que compreende a dinâmica organizacional a partir do capital político que circula no interior do partido, considerando os elementos orientadores das estratégias políticas: as relações entre os atores políticos, os aspectos institucionais e os resultados eleitorais. Para demonstrar o potencial teórico- metodológico da análise de redes sociais na compreensão do capital político, intra-organizacional, dos partidos políticos brasileiros, o texto apresenta resultados referentes a um estudo de caso: o Partido da Social Democracia Brasileria no estado de São Paulo (PSDB-SP), período entre 1988 e 2006.

Depressão e suicídio na adolescência: representações sociais e indicadores de risco

Adolescence is a period of physical, biological and psychological changes as well as its time for reflection of the perspectives and social functions that are not defined yet. In addition to the characteristics of this period also included the family and socio-economic aspects such as parental separation, domestic violence, poverty, among others, yielding often, insecurity and confusion feelings, contributing to the case of depression in many cases, each increasingly recurrent and early at this stage in human development. The present study, thus, aimed to investigate the indicators of risk and vulnerability in adolescents to depression, especially those in social context, highlighting the social representation of the same against the disorder, since these guiding this research, the indication of factors contributing influence the etiology of depression in this period. Be consulted on the basis of VHL-PSI, articles related to depression in adolescence, published between the years 2004 to 2014. Observe that adolescents with negative perception of the social context in which the live, are more likely to develop depression, highlighting the importance of healthy social and family relationships for mental health.
