The work aims at an architectural project in the neighborhood of Liberdade in Sao Paulo, from analysis of the spread of Japanese culture in Brazil. Within this theme, the paper focuses on the Japanese urban space and the search for an identity of the Japanese, besides the problems that the neighborhood has. The architectural design is justified by the need for spaces of rest, meetings and green areas, where people can get away a bit of pace that the neighborhood has. The source of this research is based on bibliographic references, reviews of other projects, investigating the experience of urban space and the richest source of contributions that were the memories of living in Japan for eight months. The expected result is the visualization of the project through sketches, experiments and artistic designs for the chosen location

The changes occurring in Brazilian agriculture, with the inclusion of agro-industrial activities in your mode of production, must be analyzed to verify the changes in the behavior of territorial dynamics. Through changing the Rural Complex, traditional for the Agroindustrial Complex tightly integrated with trade and industry brought many consequences for the rural population, with regard to employment. Understanding this transformation capitalist the field is needed to analyze the actors involved in this process and the policies adopted for the expansion of sugar and ethanol activity in the State of São Paulo and the consequences for the spatial organization. The expansion of cane production areas were governed by the Institute of Sugar and Alcohol (IAA), the National Alcohol Program (PROÁLCOOL) Development Plan for the West of São Paulo - PRO-WEST and Expansion Program for the production of Canavicultura for production of fuel for the State of São Paulo (PROCANA). The occupation of these agroindustrial facilities in rural spaces contextualized by territorialization of the rural complex, in that sense, understanding these concepts is a key part development in the research. therefore, are concepts of fundamental importance to geographical science, and interpreting their function and construction in rural spaces

A inserção da Família nos serviços de Saúde Mental: uma revisão sistemática da Literatura

It is a systematic literature review, wich aimed to analyze documents, as is the inclusion of the family in Mental Health Services. To do so was based on a literature in the database of the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS). And the documents were selected from the question which funded the research to evaluate the contribution of scientific research published in journals in the period 2000 to 2011. Data analysis reveals that the government's efforts in having the family as an ally, not a recent phenomenon. But this is a process that depends not only on government, also depends on the professionals involved and of their own families, and other factors. It is concluded that much remains to be done, both in terms of research for the topic, the actions in the reality of such a process

O presente trabalho apresenta uma abordagem teórica sobre o progresso técnico na agropecuária. São discutidos os fatores que limitam o progresso técnico e o diferencia do modo como ocorre na atividade industrial além de ser apresentado os conceitos de apropriacionismo e substitucionismo. Posteriormente, acrescenta-se à discussão o papel da Embrapa (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária) de acordo com suas contribuições e formas de atuação. Geografia e gênero: considerações sobre a produção acadêmica brasileira

This work aims to understand the ways that have led Brazilian geographers to use the gender category as an analytic element in other to understand the production of space, through the theoretical perspective of Feminist Geographies. Thus, it is important to consider, in the history of geographical science, the theoretical and methodological foundations which enabled the inclusion of gender in researches, since this subject belongs to the field of Anthropology and Sociology and it rarely appears in geographical investigations. It is understood that the gender, as an analytical category of intertwined social relation of space, comprising not only the femininity as well as masculinity and transexualities, analyzed in a relational perspective. However , greater emphasis on the understanding of woman as an agent of space will occur, due to the importance of taking the role of women in building the world out of the hidden of history. Therefore, some works produced in Geography in Brazil will be presented and discussed in order to give visibility on the treatment of space and gender relationship

Atratividade da carreira docente no curso de licenciatura em pedagogia: dilemas, escolhas e inserção profissional

Escolher uma profissão e pensar sobre a inserção no mundo do trabalho tem se tornado tarefa cada vez mais difícil para os jovens. Vários são os fatores que podem influenciar na decisão como: as características pessoais, habilidades específicas em determinada área, o contexto histórico e o ambiente sociocultural em que o indivíduo vive, entre outros (GATTI, 2009). A decisão de uma profissão irá influenciar de forma direta ou indireta sua vida financeira, pessoal, familiar, entre outras áreas. (SANTOS, 2005). Dentre as diversas profissões existentes, no presente trabalho destacaremos a carreira docente, tendo como objetivos: 1. Investigar junto aos alunos do curso de Pedagogia da UNESP de Rio Claro as razões para a escolha da docência como profissão e; 2. Identificar no âmbito desse curso os dilemas e as perspectivas que são apontadas por esses estudantes no universo de sua formação e futura profissão. Optamos pela pesquisa qualitativa, tendo como paradigma o construtivismo social, pois parte-se do pressuposto de que as pessoas agem em função de seus valores, crenças, sentimentos e percepções. Na coleta de dados utilizamos como instrumentos o questionário, a entrevista semiestruturada e análise de conteúdo no tratamento dos dados, tendo como participantes 60 estudantes de Pedagogia na aplicação do questionário e 12 participantes escolhidos para a entrevista, sendo três discentes de cada ano). Entre os resultados encontrados observamos a forte influência que a família, os professores e a escola desempenham no jovem que está em processo de decisão profissional. Em relação a escolha do curso de Pedagogia, vimos que a motivação principal apontada pelos estudantes ficou no campo da satisfação pessoal, o gostar da profissão/área da educação apesar dos autores apontarem a docência como sendo pouco atrativa pelos jovens por diversos fatores... Quando gestos não políticos são políticos: a tradução brasileira de Giovanni's Room, de James Baldwin, e a questão da homossexualidade

This work is part of a research project on the role of translations of African-American literature in Brazil and their relation to issues of identity, discourse and aesthetics. It analyzes the translation, by Affonso Blacheyre, of Giovanni's room (1956), by James Baldwin, which was published in 1967 in Brazil. Baldwin is revered for his role in the Civil Rights Movement, having produced works that portray the contradictions of a democratic, but, at the same time, racist society. Giovanni's room was first rejected by his publisher for addressing homosexuality. The text displayed on the book flaps of the translation praises Baldwin's "work with language", in contrast to his anti-racism in other works. The praise of aesthetics of Giovanni's room is noteworthy, in contrast with the absence of any remarks on its critique of the marginalization of homosexuality. The focus on the aesthetics of the work corresponded to characters speaking a more formal register in the translation. Discourses on identity strengthening were less apparent in the 60s in Brazil in comparison to nowadays. The emphasis on aesthetics represented a seemingly "non-political" gesture that made it less shocking in the context of military dictatorship prevalent in the country at the time.

Estudo da presença e importância atribuída aos animais nos artigos apresentados nos anais do Encontro Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEA)

Together with the increase of environmental degradation in the past few decades, the environmental education (EE) has emerged and grown all around the world. It is worrying the frequent assigning of stereotypes to the animals and the cases of disrespect to them. For these matters it was studied the presence and importance attributed to animals in the annals of six editions of an event of great significance in the field of Environmental Education, the meetings Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEAs). The animals were chosen for deserving more attention in the preservationist context, besides allowing the use of a great extent of activities in EE, regarding scholar and non-scholar organizations. The articles that presented descriptors related to animals in the title, keywords or abstract were analyzed in depth and characteristics such as segmentation of the studied population, locations where jobs tend to be performed, prevailing aspects and didactic material production, among others, were investigated and compared. It was also verified which current trends on Environmental Education currents are more frequently presented in the EPEAs articles, in order to map the Environmental Education in Brazil in the past few years, using as a basis an important theoretical framework in the area. Through the use of descriptors it was possible to define the articles that would be analyzed in depth, which is less than 6% of the total work published and represents that, until the sixth edition, the EPEAs have a minor amount of works concerning animal matters. In many of these articles animals were superficially worked, which demonstrates the necessity of approaches not only involving more the animals, but also addressing the complex environmental matter. The objective of the research is to map and analyze the investment, strategies of develop and prospects of green chemical industry in Brazil and show the fundamental importance of basic research and applied research in the development of this industry in recent years. The complementary objectives are: (i) to evaluate the role of the Brazilian government as a catalyst, encouraging the development of green chemistry industry through incentives, subsidies and ease in credit lines; ii) mapping of relationships between companies universities and public research institutes in the field of green chemistry; iii) verification of the strategies in the world stage green chemistry, the course of time; iv) the theoretical issues and national plans, and your practicable; v) continued investment in the area, with the worry of them being affected by any matter cyclical such as the discovery of a large deposit of shale gas in the United States and a technological development of oil extraction in Brazil and vi) the pace of R&D for basic and applied in the country with the passage of time

A legislação escolar brasileira e a organização da álgebra no Ensino Fundamental

This work aims to investigate the presence of algebra in Brazilian school legislation, from 1980 to the present day. The research was developed through qualitative research, with phenomenological approach, using hermeneutic procedures for the analyzes of legal texts. Survey data were obtained through a survey about the educational legislation, specifically referring to the elementary school, guided by the question how is the presence of algebra in brazilian school legislation that organizes the elementary school?. In possession of the data, the analyzes were carried out considering the historical, social and political environment in which the laws were introduced, focusing the educational landscape of the time, as well as the movements that influenced the teaching of mathematics in the country. The analysis of each text -law were arranged in a row explanatory tables of a meta understanding about the observed. The meta understanding of the documents was drawn up on the basis of the convergence of analyzes that resulted in nuclear ideas of the law texts. At the end a comprehensive synthesis is presented, outlining the movement in which algebra is inserted in schools, through the educational legislation

A Inserção da astronomia na grade curricular do ensino médio do Estado de São Paulo

We performed in this study an analysis of Curriculum Astronomy contents the public schools of São Paulo from the available educational materials to teachers and students by the state board of education. We analyzed the conditions that teachers carry out the activities suggested to the teaching-learning situations, considering factors such as time available for classes, available material and the general technical condition to perform the activities suggested by the material. Thereafter, we conducted a search with teachers from public of São Paulo, than three cities in the Vale do Paraíba, in order to trace a general framework of the perception of these teachers about the introduction of Astronomy in Physical during the implementation of the new curriculum
