Soccer is the most popular sport in Brazil and one of the most popular in the world. Within this context, the practice of university soccer has increased the number of practitioners. A methodology widely used in the training of high performance teams are games reduced field ( JCR). The objective of this study was to evaluate the intensity of physical effort of football players during a small side game, 4x4, check the correlation between [La], HR PSE and the players and the floater influence on the intensity of the small side game. We analyzed eight players of UNESP in Bauru mean age 21.2+1.5 years, weight 75.8+11.6 kg, height 1.77±8cm, body fat percentage 12.3+5.5%, VO2max 37.1 ml/kg/min. The training was performed in 4 x 6 min with an interval of between one minute for recovery. The [La] and PSE were collected between the second and third time and after the end of training, the HR was measured every five seconds throughout the training through the RS400 heart rate monitor. A training session player floater participation (4x4+1) and the other not (4x4). The results presented showed no correlation with the HR [La] and PSE. HR significantly different, being 157+10 in the game 4x4+1 and 146+13 in the game 4x4. The percentage of HRmax in the game with floater was 81.3% and 75.7% in the game without. The players were most of the time in a higher intensity in the JCR with a floater, 37.8% of playing time over 85% HRmax, and 22.5% of playing time over 85% of HRmax in the JCR without floater, demonstrating that the use of a floater player made the game more intense and efficient to increase the intensity of the game

You can set the resistance training such as making a move against a resistance by performing a muscle contraction and generating a muscular adaptation. This form of training, was initially used only in training athletes aiming to strengthen and improve fitness. Some coaches did not give proper focus, as the increase in muscle mass would cause loss of flexibility and agility. But over time a huge evolution occurred within this area and the practitioners of resistance training are no longer just athletes, and reached the whole community, from young to elderly, being a physical activity that generates a large caloric expenditure and has several health benefits, improve the cardiovascular system and decreasing the amount of body fat in the body. Cortisol is a hormone secreted from a stressful stimulus to the body, secretion undergoes control of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, which releases the hormone into the bloodstream andrenocorticotrópico, going to the adrenal cortex responsible for their release. This has catabolic function, acting in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids, as well as having an important effect antiflamatório. Testosterone is a steroid hormone cholesterol from being produced by the testicles in men, as in women is produced to a lesser extent in ovary and adrenal glands, has functions androgenic and anabolic. Androgen function is responsible for the development of male sexual characteristics, while on anabolic function operates in the growth of muscles and bones, influencing the development of the human body organs. Within the metabolic changes that occur in the resistance training testosterone plays an important role in protein synthesis, influencing the production of strength and / or power during exercise. Este estudo discute a relação entre as condições e a organização do trabalho como elementos que contribuem para a ocorrência de acidentes do trabalho. Os dados foram coletados em uma indústria produtora de açúcar, álcool e derivados, situada no Estado de São Paulo. Para a coleta dos dados utilizamos a observação direta do trabalho e realizamos entrevistas semidirigidas individuais como 22 trabalhadores do setor de produção de açúcar. A produção de açúcar foi indicada pela Equipe de Segurança e Higiene no Trabalho como o setor em que havia a maior ocorrência de acidentes. Por destacar o papel que a relação homem-trabalho desempenha na saúde física e psíquica dos trabalhadores, utilizamos a Psicodinâmica do Trabalho (Dejours, 1994) como referencial teórico para a análise dos dados obtidos nas entrevistas. A análise das entrevistas envolveu três aspectos: condições e organização do trabalho e insatisfação. Os resultados revelaram que o ambiente estudado apresenta fatores físicos, químicos e biológicos desfavoráveis à saúde dos trabalhadores. Quanto à organização do trabalho, os dados revelaram que a divisão do trabalho bem como o conteúdo das tarefas determinavam sobrecarga aos trabalhadores. O relato sobre a insatisfação envolveu: ausência de perspectiva para progressão profissional, falta de treinamento técnico, dificuldade em manejar equipamentos e inadequação dos equipamentos de proteção. Destaca-se também no discurso dos trabalhadores a ineficiência das ações organizacionais para a eliminação ou a neutralização dos riscos de acidentes do trabalho e a predominância da teoria do Ato inseguro na apuração da causalidade dos acidentes do trabalho.

O Diabetes mellitus é um problema de saúde pública mundial. Tal doença é caracterizada pela redução da secreção (Diabetes mellitus tipo1) ou da ação (Diabetes mellitus tipo2) da insulina, acarretando hiperglicemia, além de alterações no metabolismo das proteínas e dos lipídeos. As consequências para o organismo são variadas, incluindo hipertensão, nefropatias, retinopatias e cardiopatias. Atualmente existe grande interesse nas ervas medicinais, como hipoglicemiantes naturais, entre elas, a spirulina. A spirulina parece ser boa fonte protéica para a alimentação, tem boa aceitação e não apresenta efeitos tóxicos aparentes. Além disso, ela pode exercer efeitos benéficos no tratamento de algumas doenças como câncer, desnutrição, obesidade, hipercolesterolemia, hipertensão arterial, diabetes mellitus,entre outras. Tendo em vista a grande possibilidade utilizar a spirulina na dieta, o presente estudo visa analisar o metabolismo muscular da glicose em ratos diabéticos. O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar a taxa de desenvolvimento de força (TDF) nas contrações isométrica e isocinéticas concêntrica a 60°.s-1 e 180°.s-1. Quatorze indivíduos do gênero masculino (idade = 23,1±2,8 anos; estatura = 174±31,3 cm e; massa corporal = 81±12 kg) participaram deste estudo. Na primeira visita foi realizada uma familiarização ao equipamento isocinético. Posteriormente, os indivíduos realizaram em ordem randômica 5 contrações isocinéticas máximas para os extensores do joelho em 60°.s-1 e 180°.s-1 para determinar o torque máximo concêntrico (TMC) e 2 contrações isométricas máximas de 3 s para determinar o torque máximo isométrico (TMI). O TMI (301,4±56,0 N.m) foi maior do que o TMC a 60°.s-1 (239,8±42,2 N.m) e 180°.s-1 (175,0±32,5 N.m). O TMC a 60°.s-1 foi maior do que o TMC a 180°.s-1. Para os intervalos de 0-30ms e 0-50ms, a TDF na condição isométrica (1196,6±464,6 e 1326,5±514,2 N.m.s-1, respectivamente) foi similar à TDF a 60°.s- 1 (1035,4±446,2 e 1134,3±448,4 N.m.s-1) e maior do que a 180°.s-1 (656,7±246,6 e 475,2±197,9 N.m.s-1), sendo ainda que a TDF na contração concêntrica rápida foi menor do que na lenta. No intervalo 0-100ms, a TDF da contração isométrica (1248,8±417,4 N.m.s-1) foi significantemente maior que a obtida na contração isocinética rápida (909,2±283,4 N.m.s- 1). A TDF obtida na contração isocinética lenta (1005,4±247,7 N.m.s-1) foi similar à obtida na contração isométrica e na concêntrica isocinética rápida. No intervalo 0-150ms, a TDF isométrica (1084,2±332,1 N.m.s-1) foi maior do que as concêntricas (60°.s-1 e 180°.s-1) (834,8±184,2 e 767,6±201,8 N.m.s-1, respectivamente), não existindo diferenças entre estas duas últimas. The prescription of strength training intensity (ST) by maximum repetition (RM) is characterized by a decrease in the number of repetitions in multiple series. Some studies have shown that reductions in the intensity of exercise can optimize the volume of training with similar acute neuromuscular behaviors. The objective of the study was to investigate the acute effect of two different ST intensities on the training volume, maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) and rate of force development (RFD) in elderly women. The study included eight trained women (66.7 ± 6.7 years; 7.6 ± 17.8 kg; 159 cm; 29.33 ± 5.80 kg/m²). They underwent to three experimental conditions: two different intensities of ST (100% and 80% of 15-RM) on a chair for Leg Extension and a control condition. In the condition to 100% of 15 RM, all participants performed three sets to the concentric muscle fatigue, whereas in the condition to 80% involved the use of two sets of 15 repetitions and only the third to the concentric muscle fatigue. The order of experimental conditions was randomized. The MVC and RFD were determined on the basis of the isometric forcetime curve analysis which was obtained by a force transducer fixed on the unit Bonnet Chair, in the pre and after four and ten minutes for each experimental conditions. The total volume was calculated by multiplying the number of repetitions in three sets by the load in kg. Descriptive statistical analysis procedures were employed (mean ± standard deviation) in addition to two-way ANOVA. The level of significance was set at p <0.05. It was neither main effect of moment or condition, nor condition x moment interaction for MVC and RFD. O triatlo é uma modalidade combinada envolvendo outras três modalidades de endurance: natação, ciclismo e corrida, o que torna as necessidades biomecânicas e fisiológicas da modalidade combinada diferente das demandas e adaptações sofridas por treinamentos realizados nas modalidades de forma isolada. A fadiga imposta pela modalidade prévia poderá ser determinante no bom desempenho do atleta nas modalidades subseqüentes e neste sentido é importante analisarmos não apenas a influência do ciclismo sobre a corrida onde existe maior semelhança entre as fibras musculares recrutadas predominantemente, como a influência da natação sobre as demais modalidades. Algumas estratégias podem ser adotadas afim de minimizar a perda de performance que uma modalidade irá exercer sobre a subseqüente relacionadas a especificidade do treinamento e geração de adaptações específicas, estratégias de ritmo de prova, possibilidade de utilização do vácuo durante o percurso de ciclismo e da esteira na natação, utilização de roupas de neoprene na natação e adaptações na geometria do quadro da bicicleta.

The main objective of this study was to analyze the reliability of blood lactate concentration ([La]), oxygen uptake (VO2) and heart rate (FC) in an intermittent protoco, performed at 95%VO2max with passive or active recovery in untrained subjects. Participated of this study, active healthy males with 20 to 25 years, which were doing aerobic exercises witha weekly frequency of 3 sessions at least. The individulas performed, in different days, the following protocols in a cyclergometer: 1) An incremental test until exhaustion to determine maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and the intensity at VO2max; b) Two transitions at 95%VO2max for the determination of the VO2 kinetics parameters and; c) Two intermittent tests until exhaustion, with repetitions at 95% IVO2max and with durantion defined as being half of the duration of the slow component. The duration of the recovery was half of the duration of the effort (effort:pause of 2:1). This test was performed with passive (GP) and active recovery (GA). The VO2 and FC were measured continulously in both tests. Blood collections were performed for the determination of the [La]. There was significant correlação in both groups for VO2 (ATIVA - 0.94, PASSIVA - 0.75), [La] (ATIVA - 0.83, PASSIVA - 0.90) and FC (0.93) only for the passive group. Thus, it can be concluded that the cardiorrespiratory and metabolic responses present good realiability in an intermittent exercise with active or passive recovery

The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of previous active static stretch on the isometric peak torque (PT) and rate of force development (RFD) measured from different time intervals from the beginning of muscle contraction. Participated of this study 15 male individuals, apparently healthy, with ages between 18 and 25 years, without regular physical activity practice. The individuals were submitted in different days to the following tests: 1) Familiarization session to the isokinetic dynamometer; 2) Two maximal isometric concentric contractions for knee extensors in isokinetic dynamometer to determine PT and RFD (Control), and; 3) Two active static stretching exercises for the dominant leg extensors (10 x 30 s for each exercise, with 20 s of rest). After the stretching, the isokinetic test was repeated (Post-Stretching). The conditions 2 and 3 were performed in random order. The RFD was considered as the mean slope of the moment-time curve at time intervals of 0-30, 0-50 and 0-100ms relative to the beginning of muscle contraction. It was verified significant reduction for both maximal RFD and PT after the stretching (p < 0.05). At intervals of 0- 30ms, 0-50ms and 0-100ms, the RFD at the conditions with stretching was similar to the RFD without stretching (p > 0.05). At intervals of 0-150ms and 0-200ms, the RFD obtained at the contraction without stretching was significantly higher that that obtained at the contraction with stretching (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that the static stretching, performed with duration of 600 s diminish isometric PT, maximal RFD and RFD measured at late phase (> 100 ms) of muscle contraction.

Conventional resistance training (TRC) is capable to generate muscular responses according to provided stimuli, as, training volume and intensity. The TRC results in force gains in general. Studies aim this gain to neural adaptation initially, followed by hypertrophy gains. However, studies that used TRC associated to blood flow restriction (RFS) found rise in force and hypertrophy without necessarily detecting rise in neural activity. Therefore this review had as objective, bring up literature data that report this fact and yet, speculate possible elucidation about this responses inversion
