The inclusive education policy implemented by state and municipal educational systems of Brazil, contemplates that students with hearing loss can study in regular education classes. In this context, the use and knowledge of the Brazilian sign language is essential. Therefore, in 2009, an extension course of Libras of 120 hours in distance mode was developed in partnership with the FFC / UNESP, funded by the Program for Continuing Education of Teachers, the SEESP - MEC for Brazilian public school teachers. In the presence of this reality, this research sought to examine the course content, the evaluation of teachers about it and also verify the impression of teachers on a course offered in distance mode. We analyzed: the course design, the scientific report and the evaluation sheets filled in by pupils. It was found that the course had three modules: introduction to distance education; theoretical reflection on the use of Libras in inclusive education, practical activities and the use of Libras. 548 public school teachers linked to 19 departments and/ or boards of education in various regions of Brazil participated in the study. The analysis showed that teachers evaluated the course satisfactorily, pointing out that they favored the interaction with deaf students. Regarding the use of the modality of distance learning, the teacher students had difficulties with the Internet, which hampered access to the materials. However, the teachers considered distance learning interesting, because they learned to tinker with previously unknown tools, and had the opportunity to hone their technology skills.

Desenvolvimento de tratamentos térmicos visando ganhos magnéticos em aços com ultra baixa concentração de carbono

The relationship between the microstructure and the magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials, have been studied by different researchers who seek to employ electrical systems, increasing their life span and reduce their energy consumption. Following this same line the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory developed a new synchrotron light source, the Sirius, where magnetic materials with high magnetic permeability values are being studied for use in accelerator dipoles. The low carbon steel is a ferromagnetic material that has a great relationship between cost and magnetic permeability. Aiming to raise the values of permeability of the material, heat treatments were done and evaluated the magnetic properties, microstructure and mechanical properties to correlate them. It was noted that the thermal annealing were the most effective, and the annealing performed with a small time threshold, which only phenomenon observed was the primary recrystallisation, was the most elevated values of magnetic permeability of the material, due to the average grain size ideal achieved. The heat treatments do not guide the magnetic domains of the material and not influence the mechanical properties of the material due to lack of carbon in the microstructure. The annealing treatments were shown to be an alternative to raising the values of the magnetic permeability of the material and facilitate the implementation of ultra low carbon steel in the dipoles of Sirius

This paper presents a technique dubbed WiMAX radio link, the IEEE 802.16 was completed in October 2001 and published on April 8, 2002 and is constantly updated, this technology specifies an interface for wireless metropolitan networks (WMAN) and is under control of the WiMAX Forum, which is a group of companies responsible for the dissipation of this technology in the world, the great benefit of this standard is to offer broadband Internet connection in areas where there is no infrastructure such as fiber optics that has a cost higher. The main purpose of this paper is to present the theoretical and technical characteristics of this technology for both the standard for fixed and mobile standard, regulation of frequency bands by the FCC and description of the physical layer, through to basic concepts are used in many other types of radio link and technologies have been adapted and updated for this little-known standard, allowing a greater range and speed, which are specified and differentiate these advancements is one of the contributions of the work done here. After the theoretical conceptualization stage, a real case study has been inserted in this work to demonstrate the effectiveness of this technology deployed. Avaliação das propriedades antioxidantes da Curcumina em sistemas-modelo in vitro

A curcumina, um pigmento natural extraído do rizoma da Curcuma longa L. é utilizada em alimentos, principalmente aqueles condimentados com curry e açafrão. Vários estudos demonstram seu efeito benéfico em diversas doenças, tais como: diabetes, hepatopatias, câncer, entre outras. Uma de suas propriedades é a atividade antioxidante, pois em pequenas quantidades é capaz de inibir ou retardar processos oxidativos. Para substanciar o estudo desta propriedade, comparou-se a capacidade de captura de espécies reativas radicalares e não radicalares pela curcumina, com padrões (biomoléculas, exceto o trolox) antioxidantes: ascorbato, crocina, glutationa, quercetina, rutina, trolox e urato, em sistemas-modelo in vitro, sobre a captura dos radicais: 2-2'-azino-bis (3-etilbenzotiazolina-6-ácido sulfônico) (ABTS●+ ); 2,2-difenil-1 picril-hidrazila (DPPH● ); ânion radical superóxido (O2 ●-); HOCl/OCl- e H2O2. Investigou-se também seu efeito inibitório na geração do HOCl no sistema, mieloperoxidase (MPO)/H2O2/Cl- (via clorinante) e na inibição da oxidação do guaiacol MPO/H2O2/Guaiacol (via peroxidativa). A curcumina nos ensaios com ABTS●+ ou O2 ●-, apresentou o 3° menor IC50, 4,93 e 99,66 µmol/L, respectivamente; com o DPPH● apresentou o 6° menor IC50, 24,70 µmol/L; com o HOCl/OCl- apresentou o menor IC50, 1,12µmol/L e no ensaio com o H2O2 não atingiu o IC50. No ensaio com o sistema MPO/H2O2/Cl-, observou-se alteração da banda de absorção (bleaching) da curcumina (420 nm), além disso, nos ensaios com a via clorinante (MPO/H2O2/Cl-) e revelados com 3, 3’, 5, 5’- tetrametilbenzidina (TMB) e iodeto de potássio em meio ácido, observou-se aumento da absorbância (650 nm), o que impossibilitou o estudo de sua inibição nesta via. Corrupción en el senado brasileño: síntoma de una crisis de larga duración

La crisis del Senado brasileño, iniciada con las acusaciones de corrupción contra su presidente, se propagó al Poder Legislativo e incluso al Ejecutivo. El artículo sostiene que se trata del reflejo de una crisis general de los partidos políticos y de los parlamentos modernos, resultado de las presiones combinadas del decisionismo gubernamental y la espontaneidad social, que limitan la capacidad de acción del Legislativo. En el fondo, esto es una consecuencia de una situación de malestar institucional más amplia, una crisis de subjetividad política, en la que los sistemas políticos se vuelven incapaces de interactuar con la cultura y la sociedad producidas por los nuevos términos de la vida globalizada.
