This work aims to kinematic and dynamic analysis of a VW Saveiro in order to estimate the power requested to the engine with the imposed movement conditions. Thus, the study will be the basis to the specification of the electric engine, on the conversion of the internal combustion vehicle into electric one. First of all, a literature review was done in order to understand the state of the art for this issue and come up with the technical features of the vehicle in question. The next step is the identification and calculation of all forces acting on the prototype in motion, from 0 to 120 km/h, in intervals of 10 km/h, under the defined conditions of path and time. Then, were determined the values of the torque and rotation of the components from the transmission system, as well as the engine power, for each speed range. The results show the most influential forces on the resistence of the movement in each speed range, and the behavior of the torque curve is verified. Finally, it was also analyzed the implementation of pinwheels on the frontal area of the vehicle, in order to convert wind energy into electrical energy to supply the lighting subsystem of the vehicle and the proposal was validated. Limiting the maximum speed of the vehicle to 90 km/h, it was finally concluded that the power of the electric engine should be 40 HP

This paper proposes a mechanical device to adapt a simple model of hospital bed used in the Emergency Department at Santa Casa of Guaratinguetá, allowing the bed’s height adjustment with electromechanical drive. This adaptation aims to introduce improvements in the routine work of nurses and reduce ergonomic problems stemming from repetitive strain during the transfer of patients to stretchers and wheelchairs, as well as providing more comfort to the bedridden patient. The device is mainly composed of: an electric induction motor used to drive the engine, a steel spindle with square thread, which allows axial displacement of the bed, a transmission system with pulleys and belt, which transmits power supplied by the motor to the spindle. The mechanism allows the height of the bed is regulated between 400 and 800 mm. The estimated implementation cost of this proposal is lower than the acquisition cost of a commercial hospital bed with the same features, which confirms the feasibility of the proposed solution

A gear Box in a Baja SAE vehicle is required due to the objectives of the SAE competitions, which the vehicles are challenged to pass through different obstacles. A powertrain system has as the main objective the extension of the torque for the traction shaft of the vehicle, when compared to that one available in the engine. The Objective of this thesis is the description of a gear box project for a Baja SAE vehicle of the Piratas do Vale Team of Unesp Guaratinguetá. In the development of the thesis, a flowchart, developed by the team, was used, which includes a theory part and also the choice of shelf components. In this Project, the type of gearbox was chosen, besides the calculation of axles, gears, bearings and sealers, and software simulations were done for the critical parts. The transmission, developed in this thesis, is more complex than the current one used by the team, but the new one shows improvements, as a new reverse gear with high torque

The first approach in this work is the concept of the electric power transmission and distribution system, as well as the survey of the current condition of substations chosen to thus identify the importance of having a suitable design with respect to security due to the need to obtain the approval for the operation of the substation according to the standards valid in the country. Present the guidelines and present needs when designing improvements, thus ensuring the company for more safety and reliability. From the company's point of view is an opportunity to reduce the cost of maintenance, and the professional point of view is an opportunity that allows a comprehensive study of legal requirements for the operation of substations

Em condições de hipóxia (redução da pressão parcial de oxigênio), respostas reflexas de aumento da ventilação pulmonar, aumento da pressão arterial e diminuição da frequência cardíaca são observadas com o objetivo de aumentar os processos de trocas gasosas e perfusão tecidual. Para que essas respostas reflexas à hipóxia ocorram, quimiorreceptores periféricos são ativados pela redução da pressão parcial de oxigênio arterial e enviam sinais excitatórios para o sistema nervoso central, promovendo a excitação de importantes núcleos cerebrais envolvidos com o controle das atividades respiratória, simpática e parassimpática. Evidências experimentais sugerem que os neurônios do complexo parabraquial/Kölliker-Fuse (PBN/KF), importante região respiratória localizada na porção dorsolateral da ponte, contribuem para o processamento das respostas cardiorrespiratórias do quimiorreflexo. Contudo, os neurotransmissores envolvidos ainda não foram explorados. No presente projeto, exploraremos a hipótese de que a neurotransmissão glutamatérgica da região PBN/KF é importante para a manutenção da ventilação basal e para o processamento das respostas ventilatórias à hipóxia. Para tanto, utilizamos a técnica de microinjeção de agonistas e antagonistas dos receptores de L-glutamato no PBN/KF de animais anestesiados e não anestesiados, avaliando parâmetros ventilatórios (eletromiografia dos músculos diafragma e abdominal em animais anestesiados; e frequência respiratória, volume corrente e ventilação minuto em animais não anestesiados) e parâmetros cardiovasculares (pressão arterial e frequência cardíaca em ambas condições experimentais) em condições de repouso ou em situações de estimulação dos quimiorreceptores periféricos (com cianeto de potássio). Nossos dados mostram que nos animais anestesiados houve uma redução...
