O objetivo da autora aqui discutir como se d, no trabalho da romancista e contista escocesa Muriel Spark (1918-2006), a constituio das personagens femininas e a forma como estas veem a si mesmas e aos outros. A anlise tem como base a coletnea composta de 41 contos publicada em 2001 sob o ttulo de All the Stories of Muriel Spark (indita no Brasil), cujas narrativas, em sua maioria, j haviam sido publicadas anteriormente em outras coletneas ou em outros meios, como jornais e revistas. A autora tambm estuda nos contos o modo como os textos da escritora revelam sua viso peculiar do mundo e dos indivduos, que foi se tornando mais amarga, embora mais compreensiva, com o passar do tempo. As narrativas curtas sparkianas se distinguem por refletir os diferentes contextos histricos vividos pela escritora: h contos que tm como ambiente a frica, onde ela viveu nos anos 1930 e 1940, outros que se passam na Europa do ps-guerra e ainda os contos escritos mais recentemente. De passagem, a pesquisadora tambm analisa o engajamento poltico e ideolgico de Muriel Spark, cuja vida conflituosa no a impediu de alcanar considervel sucesso de crtica e pblico nos pases de lngua inglesa. Sua obra-prima, o romance Primavera de Miss Jean Brodie (1961), foi adaptada para o cinema - o filme foi exibido no Brasil sob o ttulo Primavera de uma Solteirona

This proposed project is to analyze the strategies for building and maintaining relationships, as well as the possibilities of intervention of the public relations in the virtual world. For this purpose, we used the multicase study of beer brands - Devassa, Nova Schin, Heineken, Skol and Brahma - to verify their roles in the communication process in their social media channels. Analyses were based on communication theories covering concepts such as the Excellence in Public Relations, the questioning about the definition of public flashing and discussion about the processes of interaction mediated by the Internet. The evaluation of the channels covered the period of 30 days and that the end of the checks it was found that most brands promote specific actions with surface interconnections between media channels, referring only to the effectiveness of social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Orkut in order to consolidate of relationships

As aulas de Educao Fsica escolar apontam para um cenrio recorrente e ao mesmo tempo inaceitvel: a inatividade feminina. Essa realidade surge como um marco negativo, uma vez que as conquistas femininas no universo do movimento esto consolidadas. Entretanto, essas conquistas podem no significar uma relao de equidade entre os sexos. Baseado nisso, pretendeuse investigar a prtica pedaggica de dois professores de Educao Fsica no trato das questes de gênero e da inatividade feminina. A pesquisa realizada teve como abordagem a metodologia qualitativa de carter descritivo. Foram observadas aulas de Educao Fsica de dois professores da rede pblica de ensino da cidade de Rio Claro. Aps o perodo de observao foi aplicada uma entrevista para as meninas, a fim de dialogar sobre a problemtica da relao de gênero. Para essa coleta utilizou-se um gravador de voz para registrar a entrevista, que depois foi transcrita. Como resultado observou-se que as aulas acontecem predominantemente sem a interao entre os sexos, h um domnio simblico masculino que faz com que meninos dominem o tempo e espao da aula. Na entrevista as meninas mostraram-se contrrias a interao com os meninos, muitas vezes por motivos fsicos, sendo assim, as prticas na Educao Fsica escolar esto permeadas de contedos que exigem rendimento. Conclui-se que h carncia nas aulas de Educao Fsica de prticas coeducativas, o que ocasiona um aumento na distncia entre os sexos, descaracterizando a condio igualitria que a escola deveria proporcionar e fazendo com que os corpos femininos neguem a interao com o sexo oposto, tanto por motivos biolgicos, como por razes motoras.

A pesquisa atuou no Centro de Habilitao Princesa Victoria- CHIPV, que uma unidade de sade cujo objetivo atender crianas e adolescentes de 0 a 18 anos que possuem alguma deficincia fsica e ou sensorial. A pesquisa teve o objetivo de acompanhar as prticas vivenciadas pelos profissionais, a partir de uma formao que tratou a temtica de sexualidade e relações de gênero, ministrada por pesquisadores da UNESP. A pesquisa se debrua em observar, acompanhar, perceber, problematizar e avaliar o quanto formao continuada dentro do CHIPV (Centro de Habilitao Princesa Victoria), pode transformar as prticas dos adolescentes, o foco desta pesquisa, gerando mais possibilidades de vivencias, entendimento e outros olhares sobre a questo da sexualidade e deficincia, e como esta se desdobrar no cotidiano

Genders concept understands that differences and inequalities established between men and women are historically and culturally constructed. In this way, the meanings and representations of gender are constituted and reconstituted in the social realm through various institutions, practices and relationships presents in a social group. The school as an institution responsible for the formal education of children, youth and adults, produces and reproduce speeches that (re)constitute meanings, identities and representations of gender. Based on this assumption, this research aims at analyzing the routine practices of kindergarten and early elementary school years at a public school in the state of Sao Paulo about gender relations. Therefore, this study aims to broach how discourses and attitudes of teachers, students and other subjects produce and reproduce the representation and gender identities. Form this purpose, the study first presents a literature about the subject to later present the research results obtained through the questionnaire applied with teachers and the daily school practices observe of the school

This study aims to conduct an analysis on the social aspects present in the works of the Argentine economist Ral Prebisch (1901-1986). Based on the author's research on the economic development of the peripheral countries, it will be demonstrated how the social and economic factors have interconnected in the developmental theory of the peripheral worldwide economy. To achieve this goal, the six works of Prebisch considered essentials by Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) were used as main bibliographic axis. Such texts are: Introduction to Keynes, The Economic Development of Latin America and Its Principal Problems, Economic development or monetary stability: the false dilemma, Towards a Dynamic Development Policy for Latin America, .Change and Development: Latin America's Great Task, Capitalismo perifrico: crisis y transformacin, Five stages in my thinking on development. Firstly the topics essential to economic development according to the author will be exposed, such as industrialization of peripheral countries as a means of raising the income of masses and the way it should be coordinated beyond the theoretical author's choice on historical events, the evolution of the deterioration of terms of trade between peripheral and central countries and the need for productivity gains to increase the income of the worker. Afterwards it will be exposed how such terms align with social inequalities and which definitions are incorporated by the author on the subject

The present study, theoretical, aims to talk about educational policies in Brazil, aiming to unveil what they say these policies, the legitimacy and visibility that give coverage of sexuality in schools. Both sexuality and gender relations have gained attention in a Brazilian educational research in the mid-90th century. These policies have been the National Curricular Parameters (PCN). They present the cross-cutting themes: ethics, health, environment, cultural diversity and sexual orientation, which should be integrated into conventional areas of the school said. Another document of this same decade of education is the National Education Plan (PNE), however this encompasses so hidden sexuality and gender relations. In fact, both the new Law of Directives and Bases (LDB), the PNE in these subjects are veiled. An interesting initiative is happening in Brazil is the project Gender and Sexual Diversity (GDE) for the training of professionals in education issues of gender, sexuality and sexual orientation and ethnic-racial relations, is entering the national perspective of implementation public policy of equality and respect for diversity. However, much remains to be done thinking about the effectiveness of public policies that are effective with respect to space and visibility for the treatment of sexuality. We must also articulate the integration of these themes in these policies, strategies to raise awareness of education professionals in order to secure that they are actually implemented.

The authors worked in a 4th grade room of elementary school and usedchildren's drawings in which the students have shown their impressions andunderstandings with sexuality and gender relations. The article reflect about themanifestations of sexuality, behaviors gender and sexual attitudes at the school andrelates to the necessity of sex education in a critical and reflexive approach, which,however, can only happen with the improvement of teacher training in sex education.

The school and its teachers have great responsibility in the formation of gender identities. Ten teachers of a public schools participated in a semi-structured interview for the analysis of the content. The teachers perceive gender relations among the students, by their behaviors in the classroom: how quickly are the boys and the whim of the girls, the choice of colors and academic performance distinguished. They also have a concerned about the supposed homosexuality of some boys. The justification on perceived gender differences in students were assigned to the influence of family and to the reproduction of hegemonic standards of gender. Most teachers believe that school has little responsibility in gender issues, highlighting the poor training they had to work with sexual education of their students.

Gender relationships focusing on homages to the women of Assis (a town in the center-western region of the state of So Paulo, Brazil) between 1959 and 1994, are discussed. Homages, expressed in monuments, street names, city squares, schools, libraries, Cultural Centers and other places, are based on the activities of women who benefitted the community. They feature lawyers, politicians, journalists, teachers and common citizens that exceeded their personal limitations and conquered a place acknowledged by society (politically invested) so that their names may be inscribed in the citys public places. However, acknowledgement of female contributions in the construction of the city is not projected at the same pace or speed as that of males who compose the gallery of remembered men. This fact brings forth the following questions: If the naming of public places were for decades based on gender, what had changed by the end of the 1950s for such a redefinition? What is the true meaning of such homages? Who are these women and what do they represent?
