Estado, burguesía e legislação trabalhista brasileira no limiar dos anos 30: notas para uma discussão

The creation and implementation of Brazilian labor laws during the 1930s gave rise to important political debates. The various stakeholders - the state, the bourgeoisie, and workers - each with their own social project, had forged mechanisms designed to protect their own interests. Within this framework, this article addresses the arguments regarding the Expulsion of Foreigners Act (1907), the "Dois Tercos"(Two-thirds) Act (1930), and the Unionization Act (1931). These acts provide clear evidence that the growth of state interventionism was accompanied by tensions and changes, and that the labor legislation was not simply the 'gift' of a Corporate State.

Utilização do AutoCAD 2004 para quantificação de pesquisas usando fotomicrografias eletrônicas

Objective: To determine if the AutoCAD 2004 program is available to be used in quantitative research on electron microscopy. Methods: A demonstrative of the AutoCAD2004 was done in an experimental model of diabetes induced in rats. The animals were divided by lot in control group animals (GC-10 animals) and diabetic group (GD - 10 animals), evaluated 1 month after the diabetes induction.The eyes were removed after sacrifice and prepared to electron microscopy. The retina was photographed and the AutoCAD2004 program was used to measure the basal membrane of retina vessels. The results were submitted to statistical analysis. Results:The AutoCAD2004 was effective to obtain quantitative measures from the basal membrane of retina vessels and there were no difference between the studied groups. Conclusion: The AutoCAD2004 was effective, safe and easy to apply to quantify biological parameters, which allowed suggest it to quantitative research.

Data on the reproductive and feeding biology of elasmobranchs from Manoel Luís Reefs, Maranhão State, Brazil. Nine species were recorded and evidences that the area is important for the reproduction and feeding activity of sharks and rays were obtained.

The methodological aspects which the historians face when using documents produced by the Brazilian military dictatorship on the leftist movements which intended to trigger the revolutionary struggle are analyzed. Whereas the strategy of the repressive regime in producing and establishing the 'truth' is enhanced, the resistance strategies of the political forces targeted by the repressive apparatus are investigated. The documents on the political organization called Marxist-Leninist Popular Movement have been employed.

We describe the nests and nesting behaviour of six little-known birds from south-central Minas Gerais, Brazil: Red-and-white Crake Laterallus leucopyrrhus (closed/ovoid/base nest with shells of white eggs), White-throated Woodcreeper Xiphocolaptes albicollis (cavity/without-tunnel/simple/platform nest with two immaculate white eggs), Southern Bristle Tyrant Phylloscartes eximius (closed/globular/lateral nest), Sharp-tailed Tyrant Culicivora caudacuta (high cup/lateral nest with three cream-coloured eggs), White-rumped Monjita Xolmis velatus (low cup/base nest with two immaculate white eggs) and Hellmayr's Pipit Anthus hellmayri (low cup/base nest with three pale brown eggs spotted dark brown).

In this paper we intend to sketch a configuration of the research practices of the Research Group Oral History and Mathematics Education (GHOEM) and, in general terms, to explain some concepts and procedures in which these practices are founded. In order to do this, the expression Regimes of Historicity - meaning the different ways of articulating the notions of present, past and future - is initially mobilized. By this expression we are able to understand the emergence of the discourse that underpins a set of actions and theoretical frameworks for the research in Mathematics Education and more particularly, for the Historiography of Mathematics Education.
